"Me too." Archer took a step back. "You're okay this happened?"

"Yeah, you?"

"Oh yeah." Archer grinned.

"Good. And, I hope it happens again." Carter stared at him as if almost nervous that Archer wouldn't want it to.

"Yes." Archer nodded, his breathing finally regulating. "Anytime."

"Want to join me in the shower?" Carter asked.

Archer shook his head. "Not tonight. I need time to…" Hell, he didn't know what he needed time for, but he was sure if he joined Carter in the shower, more would happen, and as much as he wanted that, he needed time to let his body recover, and his mind to think over all that had just happened.

"It's okay. I get it. I really do." Carter kissed him. "Go on to bed. I'll turn everything off and lock up. We can talk about it in the morning."

Glad he didn't have to try and explain himself, Archer nodded. "Thanks. This was good, really good. I just need a bit to recover." He hated how husky his voice sounded.

"I'll see you in the morning."

With another nod, Archer reached down, grabbed his clothes, then turned and walked out of the room without looking back, because he was sure if he did, he would go right back into Carter's arms and he was scared he might never let go.

Once in the privacy of his own room, he leaned against the door and took several deep breaths, wondering what he'd just done and why it seemed so much more than any sex he'd ever had before.
