“They really are great.”
Micah turned, got to his feet, and brushed any stray grass from his ass. “I’ve gotta go. We’re going to have dinner before Xavier’s show. Plus, I don’t want to keep you from your mates any longer. Your heat scent is getting strong.”
“Thanks for the chat,” I replied as I sat up.
“No problem,” he stated with a grin. “Like I said, us omegas have to stick together. Plus, it would be nice to have a pregnancy buddy.”
I laughed. “I’ll let you know when I find out.”
“I’m looking forward to the good news,” he replied. Then he leaned in. “Just relax and enjoy yourself. It won’t feel as good if you’re tense. Go slow, let yourself adjust, and communicate with your alphas. Your body will tell you what you need, and a good mate wants to give you that. Tell them what you like and don’t like. Any man who offers to get you turkey basters obviously cares about your comfort, so let them take care of you. Ok?”
I smiled. “Yeah.”
He stood straight again. “Good. Have fun, and we’ll catch up after your heat.”
“See you then.”
Micah waved as he sashayed off.
A breeze made gooseflesh rise on my arm, and I realized how close I was to my heat starting. I stood and made my way to my car.
It was strange. Talking to Micah had given me the confidence I needed. I paid for a therapist, and I talked with my mates all the time. But a chance encounter with my boss’s omega was the tipping point.
My alphas were waiting for me as I stepped in.
“Everything ok?” Freddie asked, walking over and taking my hands. “Your appointment went pretty long.”
I smiled and rose up to kiss him. “Everything’s fine. I went to the park to think for a bit.”
“It’s a nice day for thinking in the park,” Ian said. “Did you have nice thoughts?”
I laughed and decided to address the elephant in the room. “I still want you guys to breed me.”
Tony echoed my laugh. “Right to the point.”
“Just putting you all out of your misery,” I teased.
“We weren’t going to push,” Freddie stated.
“I know,” I replied as I kissed his jaw. “That’s why I said something.”
“Are you hungry?” Beck asked. “I’d assume not, but there’s some hot food if you want it.”
I thought about the question, giving my stomach a chance to chime in, then shook my head. “I only ate a tiny bit at lunch already. That urge to avoid food hits me pretty hard.”
He nodded. “I expected as much. I left out enough for you, but the rest is already put up so that we can reheat as needed.”
“Don’t let me stop you if you all need to eat,” I said.
Tony laughed. “I’m good. I had a big lunch since you already smelled so good this morning.”
“Same,” Freddie admitted. “My alpha side insisted I fuel up since our mate is going into heat.”
My face heated. “Was my smell that strong?”
“It wasn’t strong,” Beck clarified. “But it had shifted. I wanted to wrap myself around you and breathe it in.”
I shivered. “Why does that sound so nice?”
