Total Insanity
ARES
W hat the fuck are Lev and Chance doing at Noel’s barbershop again?
At first I felt guilty about following them, but my gut tells me that I was onto something and now I know I was right.
My spidey-sense is confirmed when they walk out of the shop looking tense and, upon waiting a few minutes, I see who else was in the barbershop with them and Fox.
If Mason Morelli is involved in whatever is going on, I’m sure something is definitely very wrong.
A part of me regrets that I didn’t think about using some surveillance equipment, so I would have heard whatever was said in there.
But I couldn’t have really taken equipment out from the sheriff's station without justifying the reason. And when I almost ordered some online, guilt made me hesitate.
Now, however, I wish I had listened to the little voice in my head that Chance and Lev are up to no good.
Guilt comes back to bite me in the ass, as I get into the car I borrowed from Olivia—my Jeep would have been way too recognizable—and follow Chance’s truck. I make sure I keep enough distance that it isn’t blatantly obvious that I’m tailing them.
My brother and Lev don’t know Mason Morelli as far as I’m aware.
Morelli is around my age. He came to town to join his uncle’s “business” a couple of years ago after a stint in jail in Florida.
He was caught on a yacht with enough drugs to supply a place like Star Cove for decades.
Something like that should have put him away for years, if not for life.
The fact that he was out in a couple of months on some bullshit technicality is testament to the reach of his family’s influence.
So the fact that Chance and Lev were talking to Mason Morelli for several minutes is worrying to the point of alarm. If anything, Fox being involved is all the confirmation I need that they’re involved in something fishy.
That rationale helps me swallow down my guilt as I follow them out of the old marina and through downtown Star Cove.
Should I confront them or wait until I have a better idea of what they’re doing?
If this was anyone else, I would have told the sergeant at the station.
I wonder if going directly to Sheriff Pullin would be a better option, but I immediately scrap the thought.
I had to work really hard to get my peers and superiors at the station to see me as another cop, rather than the mayor’s son who grew up having BBQs with the sheriff and his family every weekend.
So skipping the proper chain of command wouldn’t make my life at work any easier.
The other con about informing the sheriff of my suspicions is that my father would hear about it within a few hours since Chance and Lev were involved.
My best bet is to get a better idea of what exactly is going on before I make any decisions on how to handle the situation.
I know I’m skating on thin ice here, and if a crime is being committed, I might not be able to protect my brother and my best friend.
When it’s obvious that Chance is going to Lev’s house, I slow down to make sure they don’t spot me.
Once I’m sure that they’re not making any other stop, I make up my mind that I should confront them head on.
I’m about to round the corner into the final stretch of road that leads up to Lev’s house when Zara’s car drives past me.
I hesitate as I watch her driving through the tall wrought-iron gate that surrounds Lev’s family home.
They better not have gotten Zara mixed up with whatever the fuck they’re doing with Morelli. If they did, so help me, God.
We had agreed to keep Zara as far as possible from Fox. The ominous feeling in my gut worsens with every passing minute, and I finally park next to Zara’s brand new Audi.
Hesitation hits me square in the chest once again as I take the key out of my pocket.
Lev gave it to me to let myself in whenever I want to use his house to be alone with Zara.
Even without considering that we’re vying for her heart, using the key to sneak up on them would be an asshole move.
But I want to drop in on them without warning to see what they’re talking about.
The sound of their voices guides me through the foyer and toward the living room.
Despite having known Lev’s family since we were kids, I’ve been in here just a handful of times.
Lev used to always be at our house when we were kids, due to the fact that his parents were rarely home.
And it’s not that the Reillys didn’t entertain their friends.
But the two hot shot lawyers’ busy lives are such that even the social events they organize are more often than not held at the Country Club.
This house is more a status symbol of their wealth and professional success than a home.
“Come here, baby.” Chance’s voice reaches me as I’m a few feet from the ajar door. I stand behind it for a moment, using the fact that they don’t know that I’m here to my advantage.
Zara steps into my brother’s open arms and they kiss.
The usual jealousy twists my insides looking at my girl in his arms.
It’s the same way she kisses you, dumb ass.
That’s exactly what bothers me. She trusts him as much as she trusts me.
My fingers close around the door handle and I’m about to open the door to enter the room.
“Hey.” Lev chuckles. “Do I get to kiss Zara, too?”
I half-expect my brother to argue, but I’m surprised when he doesn’t. Chance turns Zara around in his arms so that she’s facing Lev.
“We can both kiss her.” He says, before kissing his way down the column of Zara’s neck as Lev takes her lips in a deep, passionate kiss.
What the fuck are those two doing? They’re going to get wound up and I can’t see this ending well for them. Especially for Chance. This is Lev’s house and he could tell my brother to get lost any second.
Lev might have been more than generous in helping me and Zara get some alone time without making our parents suspicious, but I doubt he’s going to walk away now. By the way he’s kissing Zara, I don’t think he’s going to back down.
My opinion is confirmed by the fact that Lev’s hand cups one of Zara’s tits.
He deepens the kiss, but rather than pulling her away from Chance, he pushes her further into his arms.
Lev’s lips leave Zara’s mouth to follow the trajectory of his hand and kiss their way down the swell of her chest.
Maybe it’s Chance, the one who’s about to walk away.
But he doesn’t. My brother lowers the spaghetti straps of Zara’s tank top, exposing her tits to Lev.
As Lev’s mouth reaches Zara’s already pebbled nipple, she leans against Chance, resting her head on his shoulder. “God, that feels so good. I love it when you both kiss me at the same time.”
The way she says it makes me pause. It sounds like this isn’t the first time they’re kissing her in front of each other.
I mean, I’ve seen them kiss Zara before. I’ve even kissed her in front of them myself. But those were pecks, shallow greeting kisses.
This? This is something else entirely.
Rather than entering the room and confronting them like I was planning, I stand rooted to my spot behind the door. I watch as Lev closes his mouth over Zara’s nipple, sucking on the delicate pink tip as Chance turns her head to take her lips in a devouring kiss.
Jesus. My knuckles turn white as I grip the door handle. I’m sure at any second they’re going to stop. Or are they doing this to see who Zara wants to be with? If she asks one of them to leave, someone will have a serious case of blue balls.
I think they’re going to cool things down when Lev abandons Zara’s tits, but I’m wrong again.
He stops kissing her just long enough to remove her tank top as Chance pops the button of Zara’s denim skirt and lowers the zipper.
She wiggles her hips, helping Chance slide the skirt down her hips, leaving her in nothing but a pair of tiny lace panties.
Fuck, she’s hot.
My appreciation of my stepsister’s gorgeous body is interrupted by the fact that both Lev and Chance lift their t-shirts over their heads.
Are they fucking insane?
Their jeans hit the hardwood floor of Lev’s living room at the same time and they both step toward Zara like two predators stalk their prey.
Zara doesn’t back down, either. She doesn’t ask them to stop.
Her arms surround Lev’s neck as Chance’s hands land on her hips from behind.
This is fucking crazy. What the hell are they going to do? Are they gonna take turns with her letting the other one watch? That’s fucking depraved.
I should probably intervene, but my muscles won’t move. For some reason, I can’t take my eyes off of what’s happening in Lev’s living room.
“I want you.” Zara moans right before Lev kisses her again.
“I have a present for you, Zee.” Lev smiles, picking up a purple bag on the couch nearest to him.
ZARA
I take the bag Lev offers me.
“What is it?” Chance asks, peaking into the bag from behind me, his arms around my hips and his head resting on my shoulder.
There are two items inside the bag.
“Oh.” I exhale when I pull out the biggest one.
It’s a purple box, the top of it is made of see-through plastic.
“You got a set of butt plugs?” Chance is definitely surprised.
Lev covers my fingers on the box with his, helping me to hold it.
“Zara and I had talked about trying some back door stuff. But I told her I wanted to make sure that she was ready and I think starting small and working our way up if she likes how it feels is the way to go. So I got us this set. But we don’t have to use it today, just if and when you feel comfortable. ” He adds for my benefit.
Heat rises to my face. I’ve been giving the whole thing some thought, and the idea of taking them both at the same time—or all three of them if Ares ever agreed to join us—is a huge turn on.
“I would love to try some of it today, if you guys are game.”
“Yeah?” Lev smiles.
