Page 47 of Fourth Base with the Alpha
The water is cool against my hot skin and I sink below the waves, watching as Isabella dives through the water, reappearing a moment later, water dripping down her curvaceous body, her hair slick to her head and the thin material of her bikini clinging to her body.
Fuck, if I put that in one of our music videos we’d go viral in seconds.
I wade towards her, but Layla and Ruby beat me to it and soon the three omegas are bobbing about in the water, chatting happily to each other.
I stand there watching like a fool until suddenly my feet are yanked from under me.
I yelp as I’m pulled under the water. I kick at the hand gripping my ankle and when I crash back to the surface, I find West grinning at me.
“Jerk!” I yell, skimming my arm over the surface of the water and sending a spray his way.
“You were perving, man.”
“Can you blame me?” I mutter, peering Isabella’s way. “She’s a fucking bombshell.”
West slaps me on the shoulder. “You lucked out, man. I like her. She’s cute.”
I nod, then grab his wrist and jump on his shoulders, pushing him under the waves. Soon we’re wrestling and it’s not long before the other two bandmates join us and we battle to submerge each other until we’re out of breath and spluttering for air.
“Truce?” Trey asks with his hands raised.
I peer around at the others. “Truce,” I agree.
“Yeah, truce,” West says, already crashing out of the ocean with Ash behind him.
The omegas are lying out on the sand watching us with amusement dancing on their faces.
“Did you boys have fun?” Ruby asks with a heap of sarcasm. “They’re like dogs,” she explains to Isabella. “You have to feed and exercise them regularly, and take them on play-dates with their friends otherwise they tear up your house.”
West drops down beside his omega, sliding his arm over her stomach and dragging her towards him.
“You forgot something else important you have to do for your alpha if you want to keep him happy.” He nuzzles her neck and whispers in her ear.
Ruby pulls him up to his feet and tells us all, “We’re going to get dressed.” They walk away hand in hand, their pace so fast they’re almost jogging.
Trey watches them go. “I doubt we’ll see them for at least an hour.”
“Probably more,” I agree.
“I can’t blame them,” Layla says as Ash drops down next to her and pulls her into his arms. “The rooms here are like honeymoon suites. Have you seen yours yet, Isabella?”
Isabella’s gaze leaps straight to mine with alarm.
“We’re not staying the night,” I mumble quickly.
“Why not?” Layla asks. “The parties here never really get going until late.”
“Isabella has plans tomorrow and I promised I’d drive her back.”
Ash groans. “Man, it’s a long drive.”
“What’re your plans, Isabella?” Layla asks her, Ash’s chin resting on her shoulder.
“I … erm … I have this thing …”
Layla laughs. “Sounds fun. You should stay. Hunter can drive you back in the morning. Steve will light a barbecue on the beach later and he’ll probably convince the guys to play some tunes while we roast marshmallows.”
“Ooohhh,” Isabella says with longing in her voice. “That sounds …”
