Page 41 of Expecting The Unexpected
“Is this because I’m pregnant? I don’t want...”
Throg placed a finger over Spencer’s lips. “Although having a chickpea with you is bringing great joy to my heart and happiness for my people, and I will love and cherish our child for all eternity, I wantyou, my Salvator. I want the man the gods said would complete me and make me whole. Because, you do that for me, Salvator. You make me feel whole for the first time in a very long time.”
Throg leaned down at that point and began kissing Spencer. It wasn’t a chaste kiss, or one that said hello. No, this kiss was one of those toe-curling, “You are mine and I want all you have to offer me,” kind of kisses.
Spencer opened to Throg’s oral assault, wrapping his arms around Throg’s neck, and pressing his body closer to the Nakaka. Spencer wanted Throg to know that he wanted him as much as Throg wanted them.
Spencer felt Throg’s hard shaft pressing against his equally stiff member, causing a zing of electricity to race through his body and go straight to his balls.
Holy shit!Spencer just knew he could come just from kissing the man, and he never wanted this kiss to end. However, Throg pulled back, causing a whimper to escape from Spencer’s tingling lips.
Throg did something Spencer hadn’t ever remembered seeing him do... he smiled. It almost made him look like someone Spencer wouldn’t even know. Throg was already a sexy man, but with a smile... he was beyond sexy, he was beyond gorgeous. Hell, if Spencer didn’t know better, he would have sworn he could see the parts of all the gods within his features. “You’re so beautiful when you smile.”
Spencer hadn’t even known he had said those words out loud, until Throg gently ran a finger down his cheeks and smiled even wider, whispering, “Then I guess you’re going to have to make sure I do it more often.”
Nodding rapidly, Spencer quickly said, “I can do that.”
Throg laughed, “I have no doubt you can, my Salvator.”
“What does that mean?” Spencer asked.
“It is Latin. It means savior and that’s what you are to me, Spencer. You saved me from myself. You took my heart in hand and have begun to heal it. I can’t say I forgive myself so quickly, but I’m trying. I see the way you look at me. I want to live up to the Nakaka you see. I want to be all that you think I am. I—”
“You already are, Throg.” Spencer said quickly, “I know you don’t see it. You don’t see how Hron and the others from that time look at you. They not only see you as their protector, but as their friend... their family. The Nakaka in this clutch—”
“Run from me in fear.” Throg interrupted.
Spencer laughed, “They donot. They get tongue-tied, because they are in awe of you. You are their superhero. As long as you’re here, they know they will be protected. It’s one of the reasons that the clutch has been bouncing back as quickly as it has been after Chantal’s attack and rule. They know as long as you’re here, they’re safe. I am so proud the gods blessed me with you as my mate. I know that I will thank them every day for making you mine. I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I will forever be grateful to them.”
“I’m not yours just yet, but I want to be. My Salvator, will you bless me with the gift of our bonding?” Throg asked.
Spencer rasped, “What about the Brais...”
“We will figure something out. Maybe Tumm won’t notice, or know it for what it is. I don’t know. What I do know is that I can’t go off to Brais without knowing you are mine and that I am yours,” Throg said, then gently kissed Spencer, whispering, “Will you bless me with our bonding?”
There was no way in hell Spencer could deny his mate a second longer. “Gods yes.”
