A marriageable age gift had Wufu stiff with a feigned smile the entire day, her face felt practically petrified.

Especially after the ceremony, she clearly felt that the enthusiasm of the guests had increased, whether it was Madam Ping or Madam Ma, the way they looked at her was like staring at something delectably sweet, which was rather chilling.

The young lady from the Ma Family also clung to her, inquiring about the details of her ceremonial dress and the jewelry.

Although the Ma Family was also in the grain and rice business, they weren’t immensely wealthy. Their usual expenditures were limited, and in terms of gold and silver, they probably had less than Wufu did.

So, upon seeing such luxurious ceremonial dress and that delicate Peach Blossom Hairpin, how could they not be envious?

With great difficulty, the day passed and the guests had all left. Wufu was so exhausted it was as if she had fought a tough battle, almost passing out on her couch.

"Miss, don’t forget, you still have an appointment!" Purple Jade whispered, reminding her of her arrangement with a certain someone.

Wufu lay there and did not get up, mumbling, "Purple Jade, I am utterly exhausted. Let me sleep for a while first."

Purple Jade had no choice but to look at the time; since it wasn’t yet the appointed hour, she let her be.

Wufu was indeed exhausted and quickly fell asleep. It was not until the Third Quarter of Wu Hour that Purple Jade woke her up.

"Miss, he’s here," Purple Jade whispered, gently pulling her up.

Wufu had no choice but to wash her face, letting Purple Jade help her change into another outfit and re-style her hair with the Peach Blossom Hairpin, before she stepped out of the room.

As expected, there was Ah Jiu, clad in splendid purple, standing with his hands behind his back in the courtyard.

Upon hearing sounds, he turned around and saw her in a fresh peach-colored outfit, her black hair adorned with the Peach Blossom Hairpin, already dressed as a lady of age, and he couldn’t help but smile.

"You’ve arrived," Wufu suddenly felt somewhat embarrassed.

"You’ve come."

Ah Jiu approached with a smile.

Wufu lowered her head to look at the Embroidered Shoes on her feet, and asked with a slight tap, "Where to?"

A young lady who had just reached marriageable age is suddenly shy?

Ah Jiu, observing her rare show of girlish timidity, found the amusement in his eyes growing deeper. He naturally took her hand, then with a tip of his toes, he leapt up, carrying her with him into the air.

Wufu exclaimed in surprise, instinctively gripping his arm tightly. Once they landed on the rooftop, she shot him a glare, "Is being able to do Qinggong such a big deal?"

She would never admit it was jealousy.

Ah Jiu, still smiling, led her to find a place to sit down, then clapped his hands. A shadow appeared, handed him a bundle, and then disappeared from sight.

Wufu raised an eyebrow, watching as he unraveled the bundle to take out a small jug of wine, two Jade Cups, and a food box that could be opened up into a small table, arranged with two or three plates of appetizers. After pouring the wine, he handed her one of the cups.

Wufu took it and curled the corner of her mouth, saying, "Uh, about drinking, wouldn’t it be nicer to find a place and drink slowly? Or does Ninth Master prefer... um? Chilling on the rooftop!"

Ah Jiu nearly toppled over.

"It’s such a lovely time, and Wufu is so unromantic!" Ah Jiu pointed to the star-filled sky, thinking he would have to scold Xiao Li later, for coming up with such a bad idea, claiming it was what ladies liked most.

Wufu looked up at the stars and said, "It’s not that high." The stars are even closer from the top of the mountain.

Ah Jiu’s expression slightly cracked, and clearing his throat, he said, "Regardless, Wufu, congratulations, may your life be as splendid as brocade."

Wufu smiled faintly, raising her cup to clink with his, "Thank you, Ah Jiu."

Ah Jiu too smiled, drinking up and looking at her, "My name is Jhin Mo, I turned of age in July, remember that."

"Alright!"

Wufu’s eyes shimmered as if they were studded with stars themselves, sparkling brilliantly.
