Fiery Burning Knife is all about intensity. That’s all there is to it, especially in the winter, when drinking such a strong liquor can make one feel exhilarated from the bottom of their heart.

This was a liquor that Wufu had replicated from distilled spirits of later ages. She found a small wine shop, and with Silver in hand, she made the bold move to purchase it. After several trials, she finally brewed the now-present Fiery Burning Knife that was ready to meet the world.

At the moment, Ah Jiu and Wen Congrui were both intent on showing off their mettle by taking up the drinking challenge. Wufu crossed her arms and assumed the posture of a spectator, ready to enjoy the show.

Let’s see how capable they are!

A small jar of Fiery Burning Knife was brought over, and as the mud seal was popped open, a spicy aroma wafted out, reddening the cheeks of those nearby.

Wufu personally took the wine pitcher to pour the drink, also fetching a few small cups before she was about to fill them.

"I’ve heard that the heroes of Green Forest drink from bowls—that’s the only way to truly appreciate the fieriness and spiciness of the liquor.

Using small cups, as Wufu is doing, hardly does justice to the Fiery Burning Knife!

" Ah Jiu interrupted her and then glanced at Wen Congrui with a smile, "What does Lord Wen think? "

This was an outright provocation.

Wen Congrui said, "Ninth Master speaks the truth."

Wufu raised an eyebrow, "You both speak so lightly of it, but perhaps you should have a taste first. This liquor is nothing like ordinary wine."

With that said, she brushed aside Ah Jiu’s hand, poured three small cups, and picked up one, "This cup is to thank both of you for gracing my establishment as the Host. Remember to settle the bill." After speaking, she held her hand in front of the cup and tilted her head back to drink.

Ah Jiu and the others were too late to stop her.

The name Fiery Burning Knife was not given for fun. This liquor truly lived up to its name; once swallowed, the spicy kick felt as though it was scorching one’s throat.

Wufu had drunk her fair share of strong liquor in her previous life, especially Western spirits, having sampled virtually all of them.

She had long been immune to the effects of alcohol, but her current body was not accustomed to such potency.

With that one cup, her face swiftly flushed with two streaks of crimson, revealing the potency of the liquor.

Her face, now tinged with a rosy glow, gained an additional touch of charm compared to usual, leaving Ah Jiu and Wen Congrui momentarily stunned.

Ah Jiu was the first to notice the look of desire in Wen Congrui’s eyes. His gaze darkened, and he picked up a piece of meat with his chopsticks, bringing it towards Wufu’s mouth, "Drinking on an empty stomach, you should be careful not to get drunk. Madam might confine you to the house."

Wufu instinctively bit into the meat.

The smile in Ah Jiu’s eyes deepened.

The young servants and maids standing outside the pavilion were baffled. There was such a move?

In contrast, Wen Congrui looked at them with an unfathomable expression and picked up his cup, saying to Ah Jiu, "Ninth Master, we men cannot afford to lose to a woman."

"Lord Wen, I’ll drink to that as a mark of respect," Ah Jiu raised his cup and drained it in one gulp.

Wen Congrui, not to be outdone, also drank decisively.

Upon their first sip, both men’s complexions subtly changed.

Both came from distinguished backgrounds, with Ah Jiu having encountered and tasted countless varieties of liquor.

Yet Fiery Burning Knife had no special characteristics besides its intensity—enough to please any lover of strong drinks.

He could imagine that anyone who had tasted Fiery Burning Knife would regard all previously so-called strong liquors as mere water.

Due to physical constraints, Wen Congrui had less exposure to alcohol, but that did not mean he was unaware of the potency of this Fiery Burning Knife.

"Lord Wen, shall we continue?" Ah Jiu, noticing Wen Congrui’s flushed cheeks, hinted with a curl of his lips.

"Please!"

The two men took turns toasting each other, in truth matching each other drink for drink. After one pitcher, their eyes were glossy with intoxication.

Wufu clicked her tongue and pushed the wine jar backward, where someone else caught it. They could drink no more anyway. Her Fiery Burning Knife was not for the faint-hearted.
