“You heard me.” I brushed our lips together once. “Shut up.”
“Only you could make an insult sound sexy. Damn your accent.” Daman nipped at my nose. “I’m gonna kick your ass for it later though.”
“Well, you were being ridiculous.”
“Ridiculous? In the time we’ve been together, I’ve blown up at you for stupid shit, bitch-slapped you with my wing, and displayed clingy behavior that’s super unattractive.”
“I like when you’re clingy.”
Daman scoffed.
“Roll those eyes at me one more time and I’ll spank you.”
He gaped. “Who are you, and what have you done with my husband?”
Gods. I loved the way “husband” sounded on his lips.
I laughed and brought his face closer, capturing his mouth in a hard kiss. He emitted a soft moan and put his arms around my neck, melting into me.This is what he needs. The night Envy made him lash out, the only thing that calmed him down was when I took control. Action rather than words.
“You deserve better than me,” he murmured against my lips. “I’m not worth—”
I silenced him with another kiss.
We eventually made our way into the bathroom to shower, which turned into slow sex against the wall, the water falling down on us as we got lost in each other. I stared into his eyes as I pumped into him, his leg hooked around my hip. He caressed my cheek, lips parted. Heavy breaths and skin slapping skin filled the bathroom.
“Turn around,” I said, pulling out.
Daman obeyed, spinning around and bracing his hands on the wall. I pushed back inside him, loving the deep moan it drew from his lips. I gripped his hip and slid my other hand up his spine.
“Fuck,” he rasped when my fingers dipped into his left wing slit. “That feels so fucking good.”
The combination of me hitting that sweet spot inside him and my fingers working magic in his slit had him trembling in no time. His ass muscles clamped down on my cock as his orgasm hit, and I grunted as my own release built. One thrust. Two. And then I joined him, my voice cracking as white-hot pleasure consumed me.
“I love that so much,” Daman said, smiling back at me. “You’re so hot when you let go, War.”
I kissed the center of his back as the last shudder left my body.
“Come here, you.” He turned around and claimed my mouth, hands resting on my chest.
Daman was like one of those flowers that only bloomed beneath the moonlight. A beauty only a rare few ever got to see. And he was blooming for me, his skin soft like petals and his lips even softer.
Asa was so wrong. Being with Daman didn’t make me a victim of fate’s plan. I was stronger because of him. Happier.
And I’d destroy anyone or anything that dared take him from me.
Chapter Thirteen
Daman
I never expected to fall for Warrin. But life hardly ever went according to plan.
He’d awakened something inside of me. I’d tried to dismiss it—fight it—but I had succumbed anyway. He was patient. Gentle, but also rough when necessary. Like when he pinned me against the wall and railed me. He made love to me too, tender and slow, pecking kisses along my skin.
Honestly, I was crazy about him.
At daybreak, we strolled through the woods toward the training field. He’d woken me with a blowjob followed by strong coffee. The perfect wake-up call.
“I fell from that tree once,” Warrin said, pointing to a large oak up ahead. “Well, Nikolai pushed me.”
