“What are you—”
Blinking back tears, I put more force into my shove and managed to knock him a little off-balance. My wings then sprang from my shoulders, and I used one to swat him farther away as he came at me again. He bumped the railing of the staircase and gaped at me. A thin line of blood appeared on his cheek, caused by the sharper edge of my outer feathers.
This isn’t me. I’m not this person.
But part of me was. And that part had total control right now.
“Daman, listen to me. I don’t know where you got the idea I wanted other men, but I assure you, I don’t desire anyone but you.”
“Liar!” I didn’t recognize the sound of my voice. It was dual layered, a deep pitch creeping beneath my normal tone.Envy.My sin wasn’t only a character flaw. It felt like its own entity sometimes, talking to me. And now, talkingthroughme.
Warrin’s expression changed. The shock faded, and understanding took its place. As if he knew it wasn’tmelashing out. He stepped toward me. I felt like a prisoner in my own body as I knocked him aside again with my wing.
He kept coming though, showing that warrior resolve.
“Stay away,” the deep voice boomed from me, one that was mine… but strange too. Distorted.
“Never.” Warrin cupped the side of my neck and captured my lips.
A low whine escaped me at the soft pressing of his mouth. It felt like my insides had been put through a blender. Everything hurt. But mostly, my heart.
Envy had stirred up trouble for me before. I’d lashed out at past lovers and dumped them when I got jealous over one of their exes or got too much in my head about me not being enough for them. This felt different. More intense. It was the first time I’d ever been completely helpless to fight Envy’s hold.
“I’m not enough for you,” I said, tearing from his lips.
“You are.”
“You’re lying.”
“If you won’t listen to the truth…” Warrin glided his nose along my jaw. “I’ll just have to show you.”
He lifted me off the floor and shoved my back against the wall, holding me up by my ass cheeks. My wings fanned out on both sides of me, the span so large that the feathers touched the railing.
“Let me go,” I growled, trying to hit him with one of them, but my movement was limited by the wall.
“That’s not what you really want.” Warrin’s gaze remained hard. Just like his body.
“Yeah? What do I want, then?”
“I’ll show you.”
And then, he impaled me on his stiff cock.
Still stretched and slick from fucking by the fire, my body welcomed him inside with ease. Gasping, I tipped my head back and slapped my palms on his pecs. I wasn’t sure if it was to shove him away or hold him tighter. My conflicting thoughts were no help. Envy was still riled up and convinced that Warrin wanted other men.
I was too.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asked.
“N-No.”
Warrin grunted as he pounded into me, hard and fast. He nibbled my earlobe. “Feel my cock? Feel how hard and ready I am to come? It’s only for you.” A deep thrust. “No one else.” Another. “I am yours.”
Envy’s grip on me started to loosen.
“I’m your husband.” Warrin drove his hard cock into me with more vigor. “And you are mine. Say it.”
“I…” My voice cracked as I groaned. The pleasure was almost as intense as the anger had been. Mind-numbing. Body-quaking. “I’m y-your husband.”
