Chapter ten
Ryann
Raider kept contact with me the whole way home, the simmering tension between us crackles. I want him.
I think he wants me, too.
I’m hyper aware of my movements, of the way he feels under me. His arm wrapped around my waist, anchoring me to him. Those thick thighs I’m sitting on, making me acutely aware of how aroused I am.
“Raider, are you okay?”
He just grunts.
Clearly, he’s not okay, we can all see that. For some reason, he’s fixating on me. Which I’m not entirely averse to. I keep remembering those scorching moments we had together before we ended up in the situation we’re in.
Why does he keep tying me up?
Why did it turn me on so damn much?
I’m sick, clearly. This guy kidnapped me. He’s not to be trusted.
We pull up into the garage and pile out of the truck. Wren and Kit are in the one behind us. Raider keeps my hand in a vice as he turns and watches Wren pull up.
Callan spits out a curse. “I think they fucked up Kit’s order. Where did all these boxes come from?”
I glance back at the porch. It’s got maybe ten boxes packed up against the window. There’s something puzzling about the way they are stacked, but I’m not quite certain. But then my attention is stolen .
Raider stills, the kind of motionless that brings awareness, and his fingers get tight, really tight.
“Raider?”
He lets out a low, menacing growl. I follow his gaze and see two women and four guys walking towards us.
“Ah, shit,” Callan hisses. “Raider, just stay calm, all right, it will be okay.”
The short woman has dark hair and dark eyes. The taller man is golden and kind of resembles Raider, but just in the jaw and the way he holds himself.
The omega has white hair and sapphire eyes. The porch light shows her clearly, and she’s beautiful. I hate her.
Beside her is a big scary guy with purple hair, a blue eye and a gold eye. Another with brown hair and a smile that makes me want to growl, and the third looks like an emo rockstar.
“Raider, we need to talk.”
“There’s nothing to talk about!” Raider spits. “So get in your car and leave.”
The white-haired woman looks at me, a long look. I know what she wants, but I’m not inclined to give it to her.
“If he doesn’t want you here, you should leave,” I say before I can stop myself.
The dark-haired woman is older, and she glares at me now. “And who are you?”
Raider growls even more savagely. “None of your business.”
“Raider!” the golden man chides.
“Raider, let’s just talk inside for a minute,” Callan whispers.
“No!” I snap at Callan. “Raider doesn’t want them here. They don’t come inside.”
The white-haired woman’s eyebrows raise. She exchanges a look with the purple-haired guy.
“I’m Bethany.”
I knew it was coming, but I don’t care. He clearly doesn’t want her. I should walk away, let them talk, but I can’t make myself go anywhere. He’s mine!
“Yeah, I’ve heard about you. You abandon people rather than facing your problems.”
Bethany jerks back, her smile disappearing. “No, it’s not like that.”
“Callan!” the dark-haired woman says as if she expects him to interfere and smooth things over.
It’s not happening.
I level Callan with a look.
He presses his lips together and doesn’t say anything to the beta. She draws herself up, all fury and determination. Well, I can match her any day .
“I’m Raider’s mother, Auggie. This is Charles and my Bethany’s pack. Saint, Hunter, and Crow.”
“Ah, the one who lost herself in grief when her son left and then her daughter left. Who forgot about her second son, even as he found his own way to greatness? Are you here for forgiveness?” I ask politely.
There is a brittle silence as they take that verbal slap and try to figure out what to do about me.
“You don’t understand-”
“It’s not so much a matter of not understanding, it’s more I don’t care. You are upsetting him, and I’m sick of it.” I turn so I’m facing him. “You don’t need to put up with it. You don’t have to listen to them. No one would blame you.”
He shudders, and then I’m in his arms, pulled tight to his chest.
“Raider!” Bethany shouts.
He lifts me up. I wrap myself around him, holding him tight as he struggles to hold himself together.
“Leave,” Wren says darkly. “You’re not welcome here.”
“Please, just let me explain!” Bethany says.
“Your explanations are to make you feel better, not him,” Kit murmurs. “Sorry, Auggie, Charles. You should go. Raider’s had a bad few days, and he needs to be with his family.”
“We’re his family!” Auggie snarls.
I can just hear Wren when he asks if they are sure, and then we are in the house, and Raider drops me on the couch and disappears out the back.
I follow him but stop at the open door, my heart pounding. I didn’t feel this exposed in the crowd at the stadium. In the crowds, I felt like I was lost, hidden.
But, here, with this open expanse of greenery, I can’t bring myself to push out into it.
“I loved her.”
I stiffen, the world lancing me more painfully than I could imagine.
“Not like a lover, like a brother. But they had this idea that we’d be perfect together. They kept nagging me about it because, then, she wouldn’t leave, and neither would I. Except she left anyway. Everyone just left me.”
“She didn’t run away from you, Raider. It’s not personal.”
“It feels like it. What is so awful about me that my brother and sister would vanish into thin air rather than stay with me?”
“I don’t know. But it’s not you.”
“How do you know?” Raiders’ dead voice sounds mildly curious.
“Because you are an incredible, hot, sexy, funny, passionate, loyal, talented alpha who makes my blood burn. ”
“Careful, I’m going to think you want to get on my knot.”
I exhale in a hiss, startled, because I do, and I would like to get on his knot. I’ve never thought about taking a knot before, but I would like to try with Raider or any of these alphas.
Fuck, now my brain is thinking. I’ve heard some betas can do it. Not all the time like omegas, but, occasionally, if they are really turned on.
“Ryann,” Raider warns.
I shift against the door frame. “What?” I spit defensively.
“Why did you defend me? Most people would have told me to be reasonable, to just hear them out, to stop acting like a child.”
“You’re not a child, you’re a grown alpha, and you said no. You don’t need to do anything anyone else expects of you.”
“And?”
“And,” I sigh and rub the spot between my eyebrows. “And you’re sad and hurting, and you might be an asshole, but right now, you’re mine. I’m not letting anyone else upset you tonight.”
Raider appears suddenly, pulling a startled squeak from me. He takes a step into the house. I step back. He follows, kicking the door closed.
“You’re mine,” Raider muses. “Am I yours?”
I swallow hard, my mouth going dry. Did I say that? I think back, yes, I did. Shit.
“Listen, Raider-”
“Oh, no, I think we’re done talking.”
He lunges for me, but I let out a shriek and whirl, running, racing through the lounge and into the kitchen. He’s right on my heels. I let out a shriek when I feel his hand skim my back, but I keep moving, staying just ahead of him.
I spot Callan and Kit sitting on the couch, their mouths open in shock. My mouth would be open in shock, too.
I whirl and race up the stairs, rushing for the room where I might still be saved. Wren is sitting on his bed when I dive in and bury myself in his blankets, and just like I anticipated, Raider pauses.
“Alpha?” Raider murmurs.
I feel Wren tense, and then relax. He shifts his weight, and then the blanket is yanked off of me as Raider collapses on Wren’s chest. Both of their arms loop around me, holding me to them.
It’s ridiculous. A hysterical laugh bubbles up, but my amusement dies quickly .
That feeling of something more is back in the air. Raider watches me, and I hold eye contact with him as he lifts a little and drops his head down to kiss Wren in a surprise move.
My mouth falls open. I can’t believe what I’m seeing. I mean, I can believe it, but I’m so close, and I get to see it. My skin prickles and crawls, but Raider’s arm only tightens, dragging me up their sides until my face is right beside theirs. Their arms are so hard and warm, and fingers bite into my flesh, holding me to them. I couldn’t escape if I wanted to. But I don’t.
They turn together, breaking the kiss and watching me with desire-filled eyes.
Shit.
I struggle, but it’s too late, far too late. Raider just turns his head, drops it down, and presses his lips to my cheek. I think, in that moment, my heart might explode from my chest. I think I might die happy.
My resistance evaporates.
He stays there until I relax, and then kisses closer to my lips.
“You can say no. You can run away, little beta.”
I hiss and grab his hair. “Shut up!”
I kiss him. His tongue sweeps into my mouth, poisoning me forever. What is it about this alpha, all tough and ruined, broken yet magnificent? All my fantasies don’t even come close to the real thing.
He pulls free and looks at Wren. “Kiss her.”
“He doesn’t have to-”
Wren angles his head and kisses me before I can finish speaking. Where Raider’s kiss is a taunting invasion, Wren’s is a lesson in domination. He takes from me, and when he’s done taking; he demands more.
I want to give it all to him.
That’s just not possible, though, but I can do this. Raider sits up on his knees and starts pulling at my clothing. Wren doesn’t stop kissing me the whole time. I’m hyper aware of the Raider’s hands and the sudden cold, but Wren tears his mouth from mine, leaving me gasping for air.
“Hold her for me.”
Raider stills. After a long moment, he growls. “Fine.”
I’m caught and pulled up into his arms before I can think to protest. He grips me under my thighs and pulls my legs wide open.
“Yeah,” Wren murmurs in a husky voice. “That’s what I want to see. You shimmer, jailbird, with how much you want us. Positively glisten like a leaking faucet.”
He hasn’t looked up at my face, his eyes are glued between my legs .
“Time for your cavity search,” Wren teases and gestures to Raider.
I’m hoisted higher, and then Raider moves forward. Wren touches his fingers to the inside of my thighs and glides them up.
“So silky soft.”
I clench my thighs, trying to squirm or close my legs or something, but Raider’s grip is firm. He moves forward a fraction more, and Wren leans in and brushes his lips, butterfly soft, against the skin he just touched.
With each moment, he gets closer before backing off.
“Would you like me to show you what you need to do?” Raider asks pleasantly.
Wren looks up and arches an eyebrow. “Don’t be impatient, Raider. Half the fun is in the journey.”
I mean, he’s not wrong, but I wish he’d journey quicker.
Wren touches his lips to one side and the other. He’s so close I can feel the heat of his breath on my pussy. I clench, and he pauses and looks down.
“Raider, she’s dripping for us.”
My face flames, and I’m about to end this and go and fix myself, when he suddenly pushes his face into my pussy and stabs his tongue into me. I moan, arching up, but these alphas are remorseless. His fingers bite into my thighs, forcing me even wider.
Wren pulls back and licks up to my clit before circling it with his tongue. I whimper right up until he draws it into his mouth and sucks.
I throw my head back against Raiders’ chest and scream silently. It’s too much stimulation and not enough. I need more.
“Raider, please.”
“Not yet,” he rasps in my ear. It’s only then that I feel the hard erection pressed against the small of my back.
I whimper.
“Ooh, something happened that you like,” Wren murmurs into my cunt. The vibrations of his words cause me to flinch. He returns to licking, ignoring my protesting whine.
“Are you going to beg yet, Jailbird?”
“Not fucking begging,” I growl.
“Oh, I reckon I could make you,” Raider growls. “It would be my crowning accomplishment.”
He punctuates each word with a small thrust, pushing me onto Wren’s face.
I roll my hips, urgently chasing the cresting wave of pleasure, but Wren pulls back. He keeps a hand on my inner thigh and smiles at me with slitted eyes.
The abrupt halt has me falling away from the cliff.
“Wren! ”
“That’s close to begging,” Raider hisses and jostles me.
I let out a shrill cry when his fingers brush through my folds.
“Oh, yeah, she’s so wet.”
Wren lays back on the bed with his legs hanging off. I’m placed so I’m straddling his head.
I look back, unsure. I’ve never, no one has ever…Raider grips my hips and urges me down, chuckling darkly.
“Sit on my face, convict.”
I hiss. “Stop calling me that.”
Wren wraps his arms around my thighs and drags me down to his face.
I scream. Wren doesn’t hold back. He devours me, and all I can do is sit there, struggling to keep my balance, while my world narrows down to his mouth on my pussy.
A hand on my back shoves me down, and then three thick fingers push into me. The stretch is delicious; the burn heightens everything. I’m back on the edge. I whimper, tightening and milking those fingers, while Wren sucks hard on my clit.
And, suddenly, they stop again.
I sit there in a daze, my body tingling.
Raider chuckles.
I struggle to get off them, but Wren grabs my clit, and Raider presses his fat fingers into me, curling them.
“Don’t come. If you come, the punishment will be bad.”
For what seems like hours, they edge me, teasing me with promises until I do weep, until I beg shamelessly.
At some point, when I’m sobbing and rocking my hips on Raider’s face, they decide to let me come.
I go nuclear. My release is violent, tearing through my body, tightening muscles as my core clenches and clenches again. The edges of my sight flickers, and when it’s over, I collapse, boneless, to the side of him. Wren scoops me up, kisses my lips gently, tasting of me, and then moves to Raider.
“My turn now.”
Raider pulls him down. The two of them writhe against each other, gasping until they come.
Wren gets a cloth to clean us up, but, by then, I’m almost asleep and barely able to keep my eyes open.
He chuckles. “How am I going to let you go now I’ve had a taste, convict?”
The warm words chase me into my dreams.
