Caspian

H ow dare she? How fucking dare Mel offer herself to me like that when my omega was standing right next to her?

I looked at Kai, his rage curling through him, but he had his closed fan pressed against his lips, his eyes gleaming as he watched her.

Her body jolted and she suddenly pulled herself away from me, but I wasn’t letting her go.

“Was that enough?” she asked as she lifted her head again.

“What?” I snapped.

“Was that enough to convince people I’m your omega?” She cleared her throat, the echo of it vibrating in my hand. “You all said I’ve got to play the part, so acting like I want a bite from someone like you should be fine, shouldn’t it?”

My eyes widened as I moved closer, just enough that my body hovered against hers. Not close enough to touch, but enough that our auras and scents blended in a way that was fucking intoxicating.

“Are you fucking joking? You really think that’s enough?” As if it wasn’t already sick that I’d considered biting her, even for the slightest second. “It’s enough when I say it’s enough. If you want to be my omega, you fucking treasure the ground I walk on. If you’re mine, you’d do whatever the fuck I want you to.”

Nerves burst through her scent, and I didn’t even try to fucking fight it as she moved. Like I could ignore the pure need blazing through me, how that wild look in her eye made me want to ruin her. I couldn’t fucking stop as her hand slipped down my fly to cup my cock.

And I fucking lost it.

A sound ripped from me, a mix of a growl and a moan as she squeezed and I launched myself at her.

She cried out, but I swallowed it all as my hand tightened around her neck and I forced her to stay still as I took her lips for myself.

Pressing my chest against her, my shoulders curved as I bent down. Desperately kissing her, I caged her into the wall. She replied with her own growl, rumbling from her as her hand trapped between us and pressed around my cock. And it only made me more insane.

Her taste exploded in my mouth as I swept my tongue over her lips, and she met me with fierce moans. Kai’s amaretto had merged with her brandy, still coating her mouth from their kiss.

She gasped for me more passionately than she did for Kai.

For Kai, she was all sweetness and sex, but her claws dug into me like a feral cat as she rubbed her breasts against my chest and fucking went for it with everything she had.

Each kiss brought a new waft of her slick until my mind was blown, so fucking drunk on her it felt like I was in rut again.

“Fuck,” I groaned against her lips, shuddering over her as she stroked her hand over my cock.

“Don’t stop, Caspian. You can’t leave me hanging.”

I pressed my nose against hers, staring intensely at the desire stirred up in her eyes. She shouldn’t look at me like that. Strong and confident, so different from the submissive omega who’d taken my cock so well in the heat suite.

Sin and Kai pushed against my awareness, and I was so fucking glad that a stab of Kai’s anger through the bond was enough to get me to pull back.

“Kai,” I groaned against her lips. “What would you say if I tore this dress off of Mel so I can show her who her real alpha is?”

She whined under me, her hand twitching over my cock like she was trying to fucking torture me, even though her scent swirled around her in a lazy stream of lust.

“Don’t you fucking dare,” Kai growled. “I’m letting you mark her, not fuck her.”

“Then what were you doing earlier?” she croaked, looking at him through my harsh grip. “Because that felt like fucking to me.”

She whimpered as I nuzzled her cheek, my alpha instincts taking over at hearing a horny omega in need. Like I was going to claim her instead of showing her who I really was.

A soft kiss against the edge of her jaw, burying my nose under her ear to take another hit of her scent just as she ground the heel of her hand into my crotch. I groaned against her, and I couldn’t resist it anymore.

Releasing her neck, my hands fell down her back, bringing her off the wall so that I could cup her ass and keep her close to me.

I was going to come if she didn’t fucking stop. I’d tear her apart so all she could do was take my cock. I’d fucking destroy her if I had to, so she didn’t ruin the peace that Kai, Sin, and I worked so hard to keep.

But she kept moaning and writhing and sighing into me. That, along with her little growls of protest every time my lips left her skin, made me so fucking crazy that I was about to lift her up, ride her against the wall again. A total repeat of the first time I made her come and she wrecked everything. I’d make her come so loudly they’d hear it in the fucking ballroom on the other side of the building.

Shit, and Sin was getting so turned on that I was sure he was going to stroke himself at the sight of her opening for me.

We could drag her into a hotel room right now and she wouldn’t resist us. I’d be happy getting on my knees just to taste her sweet brandy slick.

“Caspian,” she murmured, letting her weight drop so I could carry her. My tongue traced the line of her neck, and I rolled my hips against her hand.

“That’s it, omega. Do you like it when I squeeze your ass?”

Damn, I could barely get my hands over her. I remembered from last time, but I was so fucked up on my rut that it was just a huge frenzy of hot bodies. This time, I was lucid enough that I would remember how good she felt.

I lightly bit at the hard muscle of her neck, and she jerked under me, crying out my name.

“Oh, God, Caspian. Wait, you can’t…” she protested, but her tone, her trembles, the way she curved herself into me. It all said something different.

It was fucking mental. I was actually thinking of biting her. I had my teeth on her, and the serum that would pour into her blood and bond her to me was building in my mouth. All I had to do was break her skin and she’d be ours. Then I could spend every day fucking her with Sin and Kai.

For years I’d stood loyally by Camille, all so I could protect her the best I could. The entire reason I took over Risler Security was so I could make sure she would always be safe.

But I never thought Camille would scent-match with the first bodyguard I assigned to her, and now Mel had suddenly appeared to fuck with us. It was like the world was slowly wrenching us apart.

Even Kai was obsessed with Mel, no matter what he said. Nothing I felt for Camille could even come close to what burned through me at seeing Kai and Mel together.

“Get off her.” Kai’s voice was faint in the background as I became consumed by her. As soon as I tasted Mel’s slick, I was going to go into rut, and I didn’t fucking care. Just one quick movement and I could bend her over the sink and fuck her while my mates watched.

“Get off of her!” Kai yelled, and his aura hit me before he shoved me with his full strength.

I stumbled, torn away from her. I fell sideways, banging off of the wall, my hand slamming against the sink.

Suddenly the world came flooding back, jarring my alpha instincts that were demanding I claim both of them together.

I wheezed as I dragged myself back up, trying to clear the fucking spell she’d conjured.

The bright lights overhead flooded my vision and brought me back to my senses.

I looked back up at three pairs of eyes staring at me with different levels of intensity.

And my heart plummeted as I looked at my omega.

Because rage was blaring through him, the kind that made him whip out his hair pins and stab me. But what was worse was the twisted expression on Kai’s face and the pain beating from him through the bond.

“Kai,” I said gently. “What’s wrong?”

“What’s…What’s wrong!?” he yelled. I was used to his cruelty or his excitement, how he grew infuriated and swore revenge. He gripped his fan in a trembling hand. “Are you really asking me what’s wrong!?”

Even though we’d talked about it, I was still weak to my instincts. Ever since the first time I went rogue, I couldn’t fucking control myself, but I promised him I wouldn’t hurt him.

I looked at Mel, who was straightening herself up against the wall. She was shaking, and I couldn’t see her face, but for a second, I was actually fucking worried about her, until more pain flew into the bond.

“Kai,” Mel pushed off the wall and moved towards him.

“Kai, I’m sorry,” I said. I needed to hold him. I needed to show my omega that I was his, even after I’d let myself get wrapped up in her.

“You kissed me too, Kai,” she pointed out as I stepped around her.

“It’s not the fucking same!” he shouted as she reached out for him. “He was going to bite you!”

“But we were still—”

“Don’t touch me,” he snarled as he slapped her hand away, his fury whipping out through his scent.

I sent him so much fucking love, using my fucked-up aura to help stabilise him, but her kisses had messed me up, too. Sin was the one who was supposed to keep us calm, and he wasn’t making a single move to help.

He just stood there, silently watching us with his arms folded. Judging us, as always.

Silence descended around us, and I didn’t need to catch the bitter tang of Mel’s scent to know that we’d hurt her. It came through her aching sigh and the dip of her chin. The worst thing was that I felt the empty swirl of guilt run through the three of us.

“Kai, for fuck’s sake,” I growled and his eyes widened, his pupils nearly bursting as more tears threatened to escape.

Mel stepped away from both of us. “I’m going back outside,” she said, her voice cracking as she tried to hold herself together. “It might be useful if at least someone in this room could act like an adult,” she finished, glaring at the three of us before spinning on one foot to face Sin and the door.

I shouldn't feel guilty, but I was letting her down as well as Kai. I shouldn't have any expectations. She didn't deserve a single thing from us.

I couldn't deal with the fucking whiplash of emotions.

Mel strode towards Sin, and his awareness of her flared along with his nostrils as she stood under him, all slicked up and ready to go.

I grabbed Kai and pulled him towards me. “What are you doing?” I murmured to him.

“This is your fault,” he muttered as he rubbed his nose against my chest, right against my heart that galloped at a million miles an hour.

I forgot how small he was sometimes, that the top of his head barely reached my collarbones, even in heels. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and bent to kiss his cheek. He glared at me as I brushed my scent over him, even though we were both drenched in brandy.

“You brought us here, Kai. What were you expecting?”

“You were just supposed to scent mark her,” he grumbled as his arms went around my back and drew me closer. My hard cock against his stomach as he notched his head back to look at me. “Not go full alpha on her.”

“We already talked about this,” I growled as I dipped to press my lips against his hair. I needed him to bring me down. To stop me from dragging her back so the four of us could finish what we started.

“I can't believe you were going to bond with her,” he croaked. “And in a fucking hotel bathroom.”

I looked up at her standing in front of Sin, both of them staring at each other, falling into each other again. We both knew he was seconds away from gathering her up and stealing her away. And I was so fucking sure she wouldn't hesitate like she might with me or Kai. Because my asshole of a mate hid that rotten part of himself from her too well.

The tension stretching between them was so thick that I wanted to jump in just to end it.

“It seriously was just my instincts. You're the only person I want to bite.” I squeezed him tighter, praying he’d ground me. We both knew I was lying, but it was easier to just keep pretending.

Kai never needed to support me like this when it came to Camille, because she was so delicate that I could never touch her the same way I could with him. I’d never throw myself at her because I needed to protect her and prove to her I was a safe person she could trust.

But I furiously hurled myself at Mel and she took every piece of me, just like Kai could.

“How am I meant to believe you?” my omega asked.

“How about I show you exactly how once Sin stops being an arse and lets her go?”

“So we don’t have to go back to the party?” Kai shifted his hips, his back curving as he ground against my cock. Both of us seriously needed relief.

“Sin can call her a car and we can get a room and stay here until you’re fucked out.”

Happiness fluttered through my omega, and I sighed as I leant down to kiss him properly. The room was filled with amaretto, brandy, and caramel, with notes of vanilla floating around. And I’d make sure there wasn’t a single whiff of brandy on us when I was done with Kai.

“Fine.” He pursed his lips. “But I’m only forgiving you because I like your cock. Nothing else.”

I chuckled against his lips as I kissed him again. No matter how much Kai liked to wind me up, he was always my place of peace. Even when I was in a rogue state and blindly destroying everything around me, he’d take my hand and we’d fuck for hours just to keep me stable.

I lifted my head to make sure Mel was actually leaving.

I watched her closely. A minute ago she was all fired up under me, and now she was looking at Sin with so much longing I wanted to snarl.

“Could you move?” she asked, propping her hands on her hips, finally breaking the tension between them. Her tone switched from an angry bite to a softness that grated on me.

Why the fuck was she talking to him so sweetly? He hadn’t done anything to her, so why were they both already lost in their own world?

What the fuck was she doing to us?

Sin nodded, unfolding his arms as he stepped to his right, giving her space to open the door. She threw us one last ferocious glare and slammed it behind her, plunging us into heavy silence.

Sin sighed, releasing his aura. The air in the room shimmered as it expanded.

“You didn’t have to go so far,” Sin said to us, his tone like fucking ice, his gloved fingers tensed over his arms. Maybe Mel thought he was keeping himself composed, but I bet we’d find red welts under his sleeves where we felt him digging his fingers in as he held himself back.

“This is not some game,” Sin said as he came over. “You are both fully aware of that. We have our agreement and our stance on female omegas. I am also committed to making sure that Camille is safe.” He pressed his lips in a firm line as he brushed a gloved hand to his sleeve to adjust them. “What will we do if Melanie refuses to attend another party because of that? How do you think our parents will react?”

“Why do I have to be the one to remind you that you kissed her before you came to the party?” Kai asked.

“There’s a difference between kissing her and making her slick so hard that every alpha in the vicinity is going to think that our omega is fresh meat.”

A growl rumbled from Kai, and I bristled at how easily ‘our omega’ rolled off Sin’s tongue. He was acting like he wasn’t the most committed to following through on the plan of parading her around as our ‘mate’.

“Then we find another omega,” I said. “No big deal. Now that we know we can get away with it, we can just bring a new one for each party. That would seriously piss them off.” Particularly if we used Knottinghill hosts. I smirked at the idea. The look on Mother’s face would be priceless. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Kai had already told a few of the gossips where we’d met Brandy. He’d drop the stones in the right places and let the ripples spread.

I looked at Kai to see what he thought about that plan, but he’d gone quiet. I thought we’d found our balance again, but it would take a lot more than promising my omega my cock to properly earn his forgiveness.

“No, we should stick with her,” Kai insisted. “I’d rather stay with an omega we know than break in a new one. We just need to prove we actually give a shit.”

“By putting on little performances such as this one? Where Caspian loses control and you spend the next three days clinging to us because you’re so upset?”

Kai flinched back with a gasp, surprise whipping through him.

“Sin!” I shouted, clutching Kai tighter. “Don’t take your frustration out on him.”

We knew Kai got clingy and needed way more love and attention from us after other omegas hit on us, but Sin didn’t have to fucking point it out so harshly.

Sin’s stare beat into the both of us before his shoulders finally loosened.

“I apologise.” He cupped Kai’s cheek, stroking him with a gloved thumb. “I just wish there was a way to guarantee my sister’s safety, other than this current affair. It’s growing too complicated.”

“Of course. It all needs to be about Camille,” Kai said, wide-eyed as he took a breath. We could both feel him trying to compose himself, but it was useless when we were all so fucked up.

“So, it’ll definitely be Brandy?” Kai asked, the vulnerability in his voice fucking killing me.

“Unless either of you have a better idea?” Sin replied.

“I don’t want her in our pack,” he replied. “But she’s more fun than anyone else.”

I’d rather just kidnap Camille and get her as far away from our families as possible, but I didn’t have a clue how to take care of her. Which made me the worst person in the world.

We couldn’t support Camille the way Sin’s family could. And pretending to court Mel was better than any of the omegas on the list Mother had provided. Especially when we could get rid of her at the end of all of it.

Neither of us spoke, so Sin sighed deeply for the hundredth time. He was going to say something else, but even more disappointment stirred in him as he shook his head.

“It would be best if we presented a united front to the rest of the guests,” he said. “I’m returning. Are you joining me?”

“No,” I said, just as Kai looked up at me with violence in his eyes. I grinned down at him. “I’ve got a promise to keep to my omega.”
