I roll my eyes. “It’s not dirty, dude.”

“Way to ruin what could have been morning wood.” He flops back and gets to work once more.

I wince. “Bro.”

“What?”

With a sigh, I ignore the bait ofwhat. “She can’t turn off the talking when she’s nervous and embarrassed. It just gushes. Last night, she told Thomas we were partners, and she was a hacker.”

“Shit.”

We stare at each other, and this time, I do click on the camera. She’s sleeping still, tits exposed, sheets tangled.

I swallow and click it off. I don’t need the stimulation. Although, she’s worth about five shots of caffeine in that one small glimpse alone because every part of me is fired up.

“Vi’s lucky that he got a call. I don’t want her getting into trouble when we’re out.”

“Define out.”

I close my eyes briefly. “At the Dungeon. He told me to bring her.”

“Your Violet can be trained.”

“She’s not a pet.” I narrow my eyes.

“Not what I mean. Give her some subjects to gush on if confronted. If he presses her again, make sure she knows to play up the inconsequential and downplay the important things. She’s not a hacker, so play up you two being together.”

I nod slowly. “She can act dumb. I can get away with having her silent, but if she’s spoken to…” The elevator, the private meeting, they were all training in a way, training in what not to do. “I’ll talk with her, tell her to gush stupidly, deny anything else, and play up us as a couple. You’re right.”

“Of course, I’m right.” He sniffs. “Or you could leave her at home.”

I want to. Fuck do I want to. But I really fucking doubt I’ll get in the door the way I want without her.

Allistair wants to see if I’ve got something to hide, and she’s a pretty easy marker for that.

I flick the camera back on, and she’s up, heading to the door of the room naked.

“How about I come to your place in two hours? We can finish up this if we don’t finish before that, and then we can strategize tonight.”

Enzo nods. “Sounds like a plan.”

I end the video call right as Vi walks in.

She comes up, and I spin on my chair, pulling her on my lap and sampling her lush mouth.

Pure sin in the morning, sleepy and soft at the edges.

I plunge my tongue into her mouth, twining with hers as she kisses me back. I slide a hand between her thighs where she’s wet from our early morning fuck. Wet from arousal if her slow undulations against me are anything to go by.

Vi kisses a path to my neck and then up to my ear. “Good morning.”

“Better now you’re awake.”

She nips my lobe. “Were you watching me?”
