Bazooka
I thought my dream was nice, but when I woke up with a hot mouth wrapped around my cock, I smiled like an idiot.
My fingers ran through soft hair as I whimpered, trying to rein it in, but after yesterday, I had no self-control left.
I gripped that hair before spilling into a willing mouth like a goddamn teenager.
A choking sound told me I was fucking losing it, so I eased my grip and slammed my fist into a nightstand.
When I came to, everything was upside down, and my hand goddamn hurt.
“Sorry,” I muttered, feeling dizzy. “Fuck… this was something.”
Luz grinned, looking too sexy with my jizz running down his chin.
“That’s okay,” he said, smiling mischievously. “Wanna stuff another load in my ass?”
Well, if he said it like that…
“What time is it?” I grumbled, considering his proposal. “Where’s lube?”
“Seven and here.”
I cursed myself and my destiny.
“Too late. Get up, pest. Make me some coffee ‘cause I need to go to work.”
Luz grinned. “Been there, done that. Follow me into the kitchen, boss.”
He was about to leave when I pulled him toward me and kissed him. I kissed him, and I tasted my cum on his tongue, but more importantly, I kissed him because I was hungry for him. Thirsty for him. Officially, I was Luz-addicted.
After a few moments, he tore his lips away, stopping me when I couldn’t stop myself.
“We’ll be late, Buz,” he breathed, looking in pain himself. “Chief Bibb will get mad, and I need him in my good graces.”
“Why?”
“‘Cause I need to be allowed to the station. Officer Vile is waiting for me to make a wrong move, so no. God, I can’t believe I’m saying no to you!”
I groaned and gave him a hard kiss before heading to the bathroom because he was right.
After a long cold shower, I returned to the kitchen.
Luz served me the most delicious coffee on the planet, but I had eyes only for him.
I needed to taste only him, so I sat him on the countertop, devouring his lips as if I were sick and he were penicillin.
Only when both our pants fell to our ankles, did I stop myself because…
I was an officer of the law, dammit! I could control myself.
“I’m taking it back,” Luz whimpered, trying to stop me. “Fuck me.”
“No,” I growled. “Behave. You’re right.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Yes, you are.”
After a long quarrel filled with kissing and groping, we agreed to leave the apartment without fucking.
I kept kissing Luz on our way to the front door because I couldn’t stop, only to realize I’d forgotten to take my gun.
My fucking gun . I cursed under my breath and let go of him, because enough was enough.
I made him go to the station with Vincent, the bodyguard, but not before pulling the latter for a little chat.
“If someone harms a hair on his head, I will harm you, Vinnie,” I said calmly. “You will suffer like no one has ever suffered. Have I made myself clear?”
Vincent nodded, wide-eyed, unable to speak because of my hand pressing against his larynx.
“You look at him wrong, you look at your nails,” I continued. “Then imagine me pulling them out with tweezers. Would you like that, Vinnie?”
He shook his head, looking petrified.
“Perfect,” I said, releasing his neck. “Now go and do your job. And do it well. Or else.”
We were both leaving the back alley when Luz pushed his head out of the car window with a wide smile.
“Race you to the finish line, Baz,” he exclaimed, sounding excited. “God, you look sexy in those cargo pants.”
I pointed a finger at him in warning. “Behave.”
“Just for you and just this one time,” he said, only to shout out. “Because I freaking love you!”
The birds flew away from the nearby trees, their wings flapping in alarm. I couldn’t blame them either, because half the time with Luz, I felt the same.
I entered my car only to get a phone call. And a headache.
“General Zablonsky,” I said, starting the engine. “How can I help you?”
“Good day, Detective Bradley. Is my son with you?”
“Not at the moment, but he’s safe. Do you have any news about the person who has been threatening you?”
“We have a suspect. A disgruntled ex-soldier, dishonorably discharged after disobeying his commanding officer. I’m expecting a confirmation from my team, and then we’ll go after him.”
I breathed an audible sigh of relief. “That’s fucking great to hear. Sorry for cussing, General, but… things have been intense lately.”
“No need to apologize, Detective. In fact, I wanted to thank you. I heard that charges against my son’s assailants have been pressed. Do you think those individuals were the same ones who broke into Mikolaj’s apartment?”
So, he knew about that, too.
“No, I don’t think it was them,” I replied.
But I think it was Mendoza.
“Anyway, that’s not why I’m calling you,” General Zablonsky continued. “The thing is, my wife and I are thinking of throwing a barbecue one of the upcoming weekends, and we wanted to invite—”
I stopped him right there.
“I won’t be a buffer zone between you and your son, General. You made this mess, so deal with it on your own.”
“I agree, Detective… may I call you Levi?”
No.
Fuck .
“Okay,” I said with a sigh.
“The thing is, Levi… I have health issues.”
Double fuck.
“I’m sorry to hear that. I hope it’s not serious.”
“My doctor sounds encouraging, but I have a feeling that destiny has caught up with me. Or justice, maybe. But I’m a soldier, and I’ve faced bigger threats.”
“Look, General. I can talk to Luz, but I won’t make him go. It’s his decision.”
“I know that. And you misunderstood me. I would like both of you to come.”
“Why do I need to be there?” I said, rubbing my forehead in frustration. “Honestly, General… I’m just his…”
What the fuck was I to him? Roomie? Friend? Fuck buddy?
“I’m his protector,” I said finally. “His friend at times, but—”
“Levi, you’re all that and so much more,” General Zablonsky interrupted me. “You don’t know how much you changed my son… as far as I’m concerned, you are part of the family now. If you can come, please come.”
Family? I barely knew the meaning of the word.
“You don’t even know if Luz will agree to come,” I said, dragging my hand down my face.
“If you accept my invitation, Mikolaj will accept it, too,” General Zablonsky countered. “I’m sure of it.”
“Look, I… I can’t promise you anything. I’ll talk to him and see how he feels about it.”
“I couldn’t ask for more. Thank you, Levi.”
“You’re welcome, General.”
“Can you please call me Jakub? After all, we’re practically family.”
There it was, that word again.
And triple fuck.
“Okay,” I said with a sigh, giving up. “Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
When I finally reached the station and saw Luz standing by the curb with a longing look on his face, I cursed under my breath.
Then I double cursed because Vincent, who stood next to him, looked unable to protect his own shadow.
Why the fuck was he letting Luz stand in the middle of the street like a sitting duck?
“ Kochanie ,” Luz exclaimed, running up to me for a hug when I raised my hand in warning. “No. Behave. Place of work, remember?”
He lowered his gaze, blushing.
“Shit. I forgot. I’m stupid, aren’t I?”
“It’s fine, and you’re not stupid. Let’s go.”
He nodded, reaching for my hand, only to stop himself.
“Sorry. Brain leak. It won’t happen again.”
I was still processing it all when we reached the main office.
I walked in first, scanning the disinterested faces.
Adam, who was staring at his computer screen, Jordan, eating his sandwich, Maddox dozing off in his chair, and Patricia scrolling through her phone.
Chief Bibb was in his office, drinking something green while looking as if he was about to barf.
No one paid us any attention, at least until Luz spoke.
“Boys, girls, and theys, guess what happened? Bazooka and I finally fucked.”
I blinked in shock, thinking that I’d heard him wrong, when he continued.
“And let me tell you, mini-Bazooka would make a lesser man rethink his perilous adventure, but not yours truly. Nope, I took it like a man.”
Jordan choked on his sandwich, spitting out a piece of a gherkin.
Maddox burst into laughter. “You’re a ridiculous person, Zablonsky.”
I buried my face in my hands. “Jesus. H. Christ.”
“What’s the big deal?” Luz said, batting his eyelashes at me. “We said we wouldn’t hide it, honeybun.”
I will kill you , I mouthed, when Adam spoke through laughter. “Shit, Bazooka. You really have balls of steel.”
“Was that what you told yourself while you were spooning with Jordan the other night?” I asked him because fuck him.
Adam shot out of his chair, red in the face.
“Take it back, asshole! I wasn’t spooning with that weirdo. He came to bed while I was asleep.”
“To his own bed?” I mocked him. “How dare he?”
Jordan snickered while Adam shot him a glare before speaking, “Mind your own business, Bazooka.”
“Likewise, Markland,” I countered, only to hear an unfamiliar voice behind me.
“Cheesy waffles with eggs and bacon,” the confused-looking courier said, looking at his phone. “It’s for… hubby dearest.”
“Oh, it’s for my boyfriend!” Luz exclaimed, passing by Patricia’s table and sending a stack of folders to the floor. “Sorry, Officer Vile. Just trying to make my man happy.”
Patricia smirked. “Maybe you should try less. Chasing a person doesn’t make an attractive sight.”
Luz slapped his knee, turning to look at her. “You know what? I told myself the same thing, but then Baz rammed his dick in my ass, so I decided that my chasing had paid off.”
I was about to throw someone or something into a wall when Chief Bibb bellowed.
“Vile! What’s the status of that arson case?”
“I just learned that the suspect has been spotted at the football stadium,” Patricia replied. “Heading there now.”
“Bradley, you had a serial arsonist in New Mesa, correct?” Chief Bibb asked me.
“Yes, sir.”
