By that point, I was drunk. My mind was a blank, dysfunctional space that refused to cooperate. Alcohol did its thing, and I was pleasantly relaxed for the first time that day.

Luz pointed to the daybed on which I was sprawled.

“Can I sit here?”

“Sure.”

Why not, right? Suddenly, I couldn’t think of one reason that would make it a bad idea.

“Lately, I haven’t been sleeping well,” he said, rubbing his eyes. “My bed here isn’t exactly comfortable.”

“How is Guy?” I asked him, suppressing a smile.

It was naughty of me, but I couldn’t help myself.

He frowned in confusion. “Who’s that?”

“Your guy. Guy.”

He blushed fiercely when I reminded him of his little lie. I did it on purpose because he was the cutest thing when embarrassed.

“Oh, shut up,” he murmured, throwing a cushion at me. “You’re not funny.”

I grinned and took a sip of scotch as two red blotches appeared on his cheeks. A few moments passed, and I could see he wanted to say something, but it took him a while.

“I didn’t mean it, you know?” he said finally, avoiding my eyes. “That… that… word. You know, the word I said way back when. I didn’t mean it.”

I let out a heavy sigh. I didn’t want to talk about that. Not the fucking L word.

“I mean… if that’s why you’re like this,” he continued, keeping his gaze on his lap.

“If you’re like this because of what I said, I didn’t mean it.

It was just a joke. I don’t want it to stop us from making out.

” His eyes widened in alarm as he corrected himself. “No! Hanging out! I mean, hanging out.”

I covered my face with my arm, and then I just… I burst into laughter. He was killing me, and I couldn’t contain the laughter inside me any longer.

“Shut up, you little idiot,” I said, pointing at the spot beside me. “Come here. Lie down next to me and keep your trap shut.”

He did it in an instant, as I raised my arm so he could lay his head in the crook of my shoulder. He snuggled against me as if I were a cushion, his front to my side, his limbs all over me.

“I missed you,” he said, hugging me tight. “I’m sorry I was a pain in the ass.”

“I missed you, too,” I admitted with a sigh. “And I’m sorry I was a pain in the ass, too.”

I was well aware of him hardening against me, and almost instantly, my dick swelled.

“Shit, I’m sorry,” Luz muttered, sounding alarmed. “Um… I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay,” I said, pushing him on his back.

Panic flashed through his eyes, darkening the aquamarine depths.

“Please don’t make me leave,” he said, looking at me pleadingly. “Please. I’ll make it stop, I swear.”

“Shh,” I shushed him, caressing his cheek.

Then I kissed him. I pressed my lips to his and kissed him like I’d wanted to kiss him from the day he stormed out of my apartment.

I kissed him like I wanted to kiss him so many times, regardless of whether he made me smile or if he pissed me off.

When his shock wore off, he parted his lips and let me into his hot, wet mouth.

His eager tongue found mine, and I gave it a small lick, which resulted in a moan escaping his throat.

When I pressed my erection against him, he gasped as I suppressed the need to fuck him into that daybed.

Combined with the alcohol I’d ingested, I was on my way to the mistake land with maximum speed and no brakes.

But Luz tasted so sweet, and he felt so good, and his little moans drove me crazy.

His hips kept bucking with need, finding only air and no relief.

When I broke the kiss, he whined in protest.

“Baz, please, I’m begging you… don’t stop.”

I smiled and nipped at his bottom lip. I gave it a little nibble because he had such luscious lips, and I wanted to eat them up. I wanted them puffy, and he let me have it. He just lay there, breathing heavily as I dined on his lips.

“Luz, I’m drunk, so I’m gonna try something,” I murmured against his mouth. “Is that okay?”

He didn’t even ask me what; he just nodded.

When I cupped his crotch, he sucked in a sharp breath.

He threw his head back, hyperventilating, as I slid my palm down his length.

Feeling it. Trying it out. His dick was long and so fucking hard.

And it felt good. It felt nice. More than nice.

I wrapped my hand around it, and it made him swell even more.

I gave it a teasing stroke before sliding my hand to his balls.

They were heavy with cum, just like mine.

“Baz, squeeze the base,” Luz bit out, gritting his teeth.

I looked at his face, contemplating his request, but my hand kept caressing his shaft.

“Squeeze the base, Baz,” he whimpered, tensing. “Squeeze the base or I’m gonna come.”

I found the spot, but instead of squeezing it, I gave his dick a couple of firm strokes.

And just like that, I found myself in a position I never thought I would be in—jerking off a dude.

A few moments later, Luz gasped, and I clamped a hand over his mouth to shut him up.

His hips kept bucking, his body thrashing until he spilled in his pants.

A large wet stain that appeared on his crotch made me jealous.

It made my mouth water. I needed relief so badly that I considered taking him to bed.

Here. Now. Consequences be damned. Still, I didn’t want to make it public knowledge, and besides, we had too many witnesses for the type of fucking I had in mind.

“Well, that was fun,” I said, when he finally stilled. “Are you okay?”

He opened his eyes and looked at me, still panting.

“Did this happen?” he whispered, looking stunned.

Yup, apparently, it did.

When his gaze landed on my crotch, which sported a massive erection, his eyes widened.

“Let me blow you,” he said, reaching for my dick. “Please, let me do it, Baz. I want it so badly.”

“We already brought too much attention to ourselves,” I said, aware of the unusual silence in the apartment. “Go to the bathroom and clean up, then come back here.”

Luz made a face. “I don’t know about that. They will make fun of me.”

“I’ll deal with them. Do what I said.”

When he entered the room, he was met with multiple whistles and hushed laughter.

“Luz, is that a hickey?” Adam said, chuckling, before someone else added. “It seems Luz had a little accideeent.”

“Yo!” I bellowed. “Shut your mouths!”

Deathly silence ensued. That’s better.

When Luz returned ten minutes later, he lay down beside me as I hugged him tight. He wrapped his arm around my chest, but I reached for it and brought it to my nose.

“Your fingers smell like soap and cum,” I said, sniffing his hand. “Mmm…”

“Do you like it?”

“I do,” I said, biting his fingers one by one. “I think I’m addicted.”

Luz whined in frustration. “You’re going to make me hard again, Baz. It’s happening already, I swear. Honestly, I don’t know how you do it. Are you sure you don’t want me to blow you? I’ll keep it quiet.”

I kissed his lips because he was adorable. “I would love nothing more, sweetheart, but I wouldn’t be able to keep it quiet, so no.”

“Oh,” he murmured. “Some other time then.”

Maybe. Maybe not.

“Your father called me the other day,” I said, hating the way he tensed up against me. “He was checking in on us. Well, you, actually. He mentioned he’s planning to invite you to a barbecue. I think he was just testing the waters.”

I snorted. “Yeah, not gonna happen. Honestly, I don’t know what he wants from me.”

“I think he wants to make amends.”

“It’s too late for that. You have no idea…

” Luz paused, raising his head to look at me.

“You can’t imagine what he put me through.

All those years of him trying to make me change were pure torture.

He couldn’t accept me for who I was, and then he let the years go by.

Do you know how long it has been since I last saw my family?

Seven years, Baz. And now he wants to make amends? Fuck that.”

I brushed a strand of hair off his forehead.

“I get it. I really do, but I would like to tell you something you might wish to consider. I grew up without parents, and as such, I know all about the lost chances. Lost moments. Lost opportunities. You have the opportunity to give your family another chance. It’s up to you to decide if they deserve it or not, but life is a shitshow, Luz.

In rare instances when we can do something about it…

It’s worth giving it a shot. I hope you don’t mind my speaking about this. ”

Luz shook his head. “You can tell me whatever you want. You’re my person.”

I grinned. “I’m your person?”

He nodded and pressed his lips to mine, chuckling.

“God, I can’t believe I’m kissing you. It must be a dream. If I fall asleep, don’t leave me.”

“It’s not a dream,” I said, kissing him back. “And I won’t leave you.”

“Can I come back to you?” he said, biting his lip nervously. “To live with you, I mean?”

I wished I could give him the answer he wanted. Hell, it was the answer I wanted, too.

“It’s too dangerous, sweetheart. Mendoza is a genuine threat, and I don’t want you in the mix.”

“Are you in danger?”

“I have a dangerous job, but I’m trained for it. You don’t have to worry.”

“Can I at least visit you sometime?”

“You can visit me anytime, but not without a bodyguard,” I replied. “You probably figured out you have one, courtesy of your father.”

Luz snorted. “Duh. As if they’re that tough to spot. And my father is predictable, by the way.”

It made me laugh. God, he made me laugh.

“I would just like to say that…” He paused, red in the face. “Um… I liked this… what happened, I mean. And… uh… I would like to do more when… um… I mean, if you want it.”

“I didn’t know you were shy, Luscious Lucius,” I teased him. “Is there anything in particular you would like to tell me?”

He smiled sweetly. “Yeah, I would like you to ram your big, fat dick in my ass, and never leave the premises. Or do I need to be more specific?”

There he was my little firecracker.

“Temper, temper,” I murmured, brushing my thumb against his lips. “You have such a sweet, filthy mouth, Luz. It’s driving me crazy.”

“No, you’re driving me crazy,” Luz whined, pointing his finger at my chest. “You. You. Answer the question, Bazooka. Are you going to fuck me or not?”

I gave it some thought before pulling him into my arms.

“We’ll see.”

His sigh told me he wasn’t happy with my answer, but he let it slide. After that, we both fell asleep. Someone covered us with a blanket during the night, and it was the last thing I could remember before waking up. As if he could feel me stir, Luz gave me a sleepy, puzzled look.

“What is it?”

“I have to go,” I replied, straightening up. “I need to drop by my place before I go to work.”

The apartment was silent as I walked down the hall, which meant that the others had already left.

I was passing by the open bedroom, only to spot Jordan sleeping on the bed and Adam lying next to him.

They were both fully clothed and wasted, so I quickly tiptoed down the hall, refusing to step into that pile of shit.

After I refreshed myself in the bathroom, I headed to the front door, only to hear footsteps behind me.

“Here,” Luz breathed when he caught up with me, handing me a Tupperware and a thermos. “Coffee and more cupcakes.”

I smiled. “Thank you, kitten.”

“I finally got a good night’s sleep, Baz,” he said, yawning. “Maybe because I came like a motherfucker.”

I burst into laughter and pinched his cheek. “Stay safe, pest. Okay?”

He nodded, looking as if he was about to say something else, but changed his mind. Instead, he waited for me to slip through the door, and then closed it behind me.
