GLOSSARY

THE ASTRAL PLANES

The Divine: The plane of existence in which the Gods and Goddesses live. Also used to refer to the Gods and Goddesses as a whole.

The Idle Lands: The plane of existence between the Divine and the worlds they create.

The Celestos: The plane of existence that contains all of the worlds created by the Divine.

The Five Hells: The plane of existence that rests below the Celestos.

GODS AND GODDESSES

The Triad: The three Goddess sisters who created the world of Felviran. Consists of Lux, Mene, and Haven.

Lux: The Goddess of Discovery. Oldest sister of The Triad.

Mene: The Goddess of Things Unseen. Middle sister of The Triad.

Haven: The Goddess of the Wild. Youngest sister of the Triad.

PLACES

Felviran: The world created by the Triad, home of the Ethera.

Altaerra: A continent on Felviran, home of the five realms created by the Triad.

Vaelithe: One of the Three Outer Realms, crafted by Haven.

Kacidon: One of the Three Outer Realms, crafted by Haven.

Marikaim: One of the Three Outer Realms, crafted by Haven.

Reilune: One of the Two Inner Realms, crafted by Meme.

Solyndra: One of the Two Inner Realms, crafted by Lux. Capital Realm of Altaerra.

TERMINOLOGY

Ethera: The race of near-immortal beings created by the Triad. Born with magical blessings from one or more of the Goddesses, with enhanced traits for optimal survival.

Essence: The exhaustible source of magic within each Ethera that is drawn from to use their blessings.

The Ascension: The maturation all Ethera go through at age twenty-five to come into their full essence and slow their aging.

Sygen: the winged mythical creatures ridden by the Reilune aerial military force.

Sunchosen : Children selected at birth by Lux to compete in the Trials of the Sun once of age.

The Trials of the Sun: A tournament put on every 100 years that determines which roles each Sunchosen will fulfill on the Altaerran Council.

The Altaerran Council: The ruling court of the continent of Altaerra.

The Helioath: The ceremony two years after the Trials of the Sun in which the new Altaerran Council is sworn in to their assigned roles.

Sol Cycle: The 130 years in which a Sunchosen is born, competes in The Trials, is sworn in to the council, and fulfill their ruling term. The last two years will also be spent mentoring the new council after their trials before their Helioath.
