El came home crying. What happened at the store today with Giovanni?
Marco:
She came home crying? Fuck! Dude, that piece of shit is something else. He took any opportunity to gaslight her or body shame her. If we weren’t in public, he might be six feet under. He’s on my shit list.
Me:
That sounds about right. She hasn’t seen him since Giovanni and Mirabella’s engagement party, when I met him and El’s family. I wish I could have been there. Relationship insecurities are her only weakness, and it’s all because of him.
Marco:
Fuck nugget and whore galore are not engaged anymore. I couldn’t get anything out of El after we left the store. If it wasn’t for today, I’d still assume El has no weaknesses.
Me:
Unfortunately, she does, and I’m still picking up the pieces at times. El and I are having a pizza night. I’ll remind her how amazing she is afterward. No worries about that. By the end of tonight, she won’t remember who Giovanni is.
Marco:
Did you say pizza? Say less, I’ll be over in thirty. Order me a large meat lover's.
I go to argue with Marco, but he isn’t answering my texts or calls. I texted to get information, not to give an invite to pizza night. It's a good thing I haven’t ordered yet, since I know that a large pizza will be for Marco and Marco alone.
Thirty minutes to the second, a rhythmic knock on the door announces Marco’s arrival. I haven’t told El that Marco was on his way over, and I’m not sure what her reaction is going to be.
“Is that our pizza, my love?” El skips out from the hallway, wearing a small satin pajama set. Something tells me I’ll have a hard time getting her out of the matching tank top and shorts after she sees who’s at our door.
“Not quite,” I say, slightly louder than I initially thought, because El walks over to me, eyeing me up and down.
“What do you mean?” I don’t give her an answer when I open the door, moving aside as Marco walks in, practically dancing.
“Where’s our pizza?” El lets out a frustrated huff while catching my eyes. I send her an apologetic look until she switches her focus to Marco.
“What are you doing here, Marco?” After today’s event, I’m curious if she thinks I invited him over. I’d also bet she’s not mad at Marco, just that she wanted to get away from anything or anyone involving that interaction with Giovanni.
His dance moves stop as he turns to El, with soft, empathetic eyes. “I know earlier today was shitty, and I thought I’d help make everything better. Also, Andrea said you two were having pizza. Did you get me a pie, Andrea?”
“Of course I did. It will be here in about fifteen minutes.”
“Nice! Now, what are we watching? Is that a kids' movie?” Marco sits on the sofa, setting his dirty shoes on my coffee table. Homme des cavernes.
El crosses her arms, offended by Marco’s statement. Don’t mess with El or her movies. “It’s not a kid movie, you dumbass. It’s a movie about a little girl who discovers she has powers and uses them to get even with her parents and help free her amazing teacher from her awful principal.”
“I’m still convinced it’s a kids’ movie.”
“You can watch the fucking movie and get pizza or leave.” That shuts up Marco as the pizza arrives earlier than expected.
Marco’s sobs fill the room when the movie ends, an empty pizza box in front of him. “They both got their happily ever afters!”
El’s eyes meet mine before she pats Marco on the back, trying to soothe him. “There, there, Marco. Suck it up.”
Marco suddenly turns to El, catching us off guard when he grabs her face, bringing his lips to hers. My cock thickens at the sight of the two of them together. I never thought I’d have voyeur tendencies. With them I do. Marco pulls away from El, her lips swollen, and he strokes her face with his thumb.
“You’re fucking beautiful, El. I could never imagine how you let that little bitch Giovanni date you. Earlier, when Andrea and I were texting, he said that by the end of tonight, he would make sure you couldn’t remember Giovanni’s name. How about I help with that?”
