“Not my problem.” She pointed a fork at him. “Now.”
Noah followed Crybaby through the house to the stairs with Junior behind him, and he really did hate her in that moment because the stupid omelet smelled amazing.
Bitch.
He glanced into the parlor across from the bottom of the stairs and saw Alistair was having some sort of meeting.
Alistair was sitting in one of the overstuffed chairs, and Erasmus and Mace were standing behind him.
There was a man seated across from them.
Noah stared, and he bolted into the room. He didn’t even care when Crybaby and Junior screamed and threatened to shoot him. He could hardly believe his own eyes, and he had to be losing his mind because it couldn’t be…
“Brad?”
Chapter 3
“Please remove Mr. Allan,” Alistair drawled. “We’re a little busy here. I’m trying to sort out Mr. Medina’s whereabouts—”
“Hey, no! Fuck! Wait!” Noah grunted as Junior grabbed his arms. “Tell me what the fuck you’re doing with fuckin’ Brad!”
Brad’s eyes were about to pop out of his head, and his handsome face was twisted up in total shock. “What the fuck areyoudoing here?”
“I could ask you the same fuckin’ question!”
“You knows him?” Junior’s grip tightened.
“Mm, in a way.” Brad’s shock faded into a coy little smile. “You could say we know each other quite intimately.”
“What the fuck, dude?” Junior barked.
Alistair held up his hand to silence Junior, his bright eyes focused on Apparently Not Brad. “I believe now would be an appropriate time to explain yourself, Medina.”
“You wanted to know where I was.” Medina shrugged. “The little dick pig I told you about? That’s him.”
“Dick pig?” Noah roared, furiously trying to break free from Junior. “Oh, you motherfuckin’ son of a bitch! I’m going tokillyou!”
“You, Howard Medina, were with Patrick Allan’s nephew.” Alistair frowned. “And you had no idea?”
“He whined about some dead parents and a dickhead uncle, but come on.” Medina laughed. “This is Moultrie. There’s plenty of stuck-up rich brats dying for some attention around here.”
“Stuck-up? Dying for…? Oh, fuck you! You limp dick piece of goddamn dog shit!” Noah’s heart was racing and shattering into pieces all at once.
This motherfucker, Brad or Medina or whoever he really was, was a total asshole. The magic of their time together was now completely tainted. It was bad enough finding out he was married, but now Noah couldn’t be sure if anything about their time together had been real. If he’d lied about his name, there was no telling what else he’d lied about.
“You made me think we fuckin’ had something!” Noah continued to rage. “You motherfucker! You lied to me!”
“Of course I lied.” Medina scoffed. “Look, we had some fun, but that’s it.” He looked to Alistair. “You see what I’m talking about?”
“You like shooting people, right?” Noah jerked on Junior’s arm. “Shoot that asshole!”
Junior actually seemed to consider it for a moment.
“And it’s a coincidence, hmm?” Alistair mused. “You just so happened to engage in sexual congress with Patrick’s own kin?”
“Trust me.” Medina shook his head. “No one is more surprised than me.” He grinned. “He was a decent lay if you’re interested. Fantastic mouth. Talks a lot, though.”
Noah lunged again for Medina, but Junior held on tight.
