Story: The Vampire's Seduction
Her pulse jumped. “What do you mean? Is something bad going to happen?”
“Yes, and before you ask, I don’t know what. I only know I must help and prepare you. The rest is up to you.”
Olivia gazed out the window with her mind far away. Something bad? Something she might not survive?
“Should I not go to Vegas?” she whispered more as a rhetorical question. “It’s a city full of vampires. If anyone’s going to kill me, it’s going to be vampires, right?”
“Maybe, but considering Marek’s position, he’s right the safest place is also Vegas. No vampires would dare hurt you.”
Second-in-command to Julian Blackmore. Possibly the second most powerful vampire in the US. She should feel safe, but unease bubbled in her stomach.
“What you just said, about me having to survive what’s coming, can you not tell Marek? Or anyone else?” Olivia asked, wondering if she was making a mistake. Would Marek be able to protect her better if he knew?
If he had more confirmations she was in danger, she might lose whatever small freedoms she had. Or was it foolish of her not to say anything? What if she signed her own death warrant by withholding this information?
“If that’s your wish,” Andrea said with a nod.
“Yes.”
They both turned as Marek appeared in a blur of wind. Olivia hoped he hadn’t heard anything. One never knew about vampire hearing.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
“Yes,” she said and rose to her feet. She wouldn’t tell him. Not yet.
Andrea didn’t know when the terrible thing might happen. The danger might arrive tonight or two years from now. Tomorrow, when she was alone, when she had time to sort through things, she’d examine this again. Write out the pros and cons.
And well, if whatever Andrea had foreseen happened tonight and she didn’t survive, then at least she didn’t have to worry about tomorrow.
Chapter Eleven
“Iwanttokissyou again.” Dark, seductive, his words made her ache with longing.
Her skin heated as burning desire ignited in her blood.
“Yes, please.” She grabbed his shirt and pulled him down while tilting her face up. Lightning shot through her as their lips touched. Hot, so hot. She moaned and opened her mouth, wanting more. More of him. More of everything.
A hungry growl from him sizzled her nerves. His tongue dueled hers, and she’d never been aroused to such a degree from a kiss before. His hand skimmed her left side as he held himself up above her with his right arm. She hated the clothes separating them. Skin, that was what she wanted.
And suddenly, their clothes vanished. Yes! He squeezed her breast, the sensation sending a jolt of pleasure straight to her core. Her hands ran along his shoulders and back, glorying in the shifting ropes of muscle. Greedy for more, she spread her legs and gasped as his weight settled between her legs, his erection heavy against her.
As her stomach tightened, she grounded against him, her body and lust-dazed brain having one goal. He was positioned perfectly, with the tip of his erection rubbing along her sensitized clit.
He broke the kiss with a rasping chuckle. “So impatient. Here, let me take care of you.” His hand on her breast shifted downward to her slicked folds and circled around her clit. When it slid along the spot to the right, her most sensitive area, her hips bucked.
“Yes, there!” She was lost to everything except that one point. Almost there. She worked her hips, rocking into his touch. The pressure increased, the pad of his finger pressing against her needy spot. Her legs trembled as the precipice loomed.
Yes!
Olivia’s eyes snapped open as the orgasm tore through her. Her heart pounded against her chest, shallow rasps of her own breathing sharp in her ears.
Her thighs continued to quake as she blinked at the ceiling.
What—?
Her fingers between her legs. The wetness of her arousal. Remnants of pleasure crashing into her.
Dream. It was a dream?
