Story: The Reign of Rain Robinson
“Let’s go do this,” Pills said.
“She ain’t say how many niggas he got in there with him?” RJ asked.
“She didn’t say,” Judah said. “But I can find out.”
“I don’t care how many mutha fuckas he got in there with him. Psych is mine,” Marvin said and got out of the car. The rest of the kings got out and followed Marvin toward the house.
“Make the call,” RJ said as they got close.
When Psych’s cell rang, and he saw that it was Cokie calling, he walked into another room, so he could hear what she was saying.
“Open the door. We outside,” Cokie said.
“Bet,” Psych said and heard somebody bang on the door. “Yo! Open the door, it’s the ho’s!”
Since he was close, Marques jumped up from the couch, rushed to the door and foolishly swung it open without bothering to look.
His eyes opened wide when he saw Pills standing in front of him with the pump. “Shit,” was all he was able to get out before Pills pulled the trigger and put a hole in Marques’s chest.
The loud noise, coupled with the sudden splatter of blood and Marques’s body hitting the ground, caught everybody in the house off guard and the kings rushed in blasting.
Marvin was first through the door firing and hit Jovan with two shots. He went down, and Marvin put two more in his head before moving farther into the house looking for his prey. RJ fired at Clendon and hit him with two shots to his chest and followed Marvin deeper into the house. Demont fired until his gun was empty and then he made a break for the door. He didn’t get far because Pills stepped out and shot Demont twice in the back of his head.
That was when Marvin saw Psych in the back of the house and fired at him. Psych exchanged a few shots with Marvin and RJ and then he ran out the back door.
“I got him!” He yelled and went after him.
Sheik fired at Judah, but he missed. Judah returned fire and then took cover behind a chair and shot back. RJ came back in the room and fired at Sheik. When he turned to return fire, Judah fired twice, hitting Sheik with both shots. Now that the room was clear, RJ ran out the back door looking for Marvin, but he was nowhere in sight.
Psych had to hop a few fences before he made it to the street. Only problem was that Marvin was right behind him firing shots as he ran. Psych fired a couple of shots over his shoulder and then he stopped turned and pulled the trigger. Then he pulled it again.
When Marvin saw that Psych’s gun was empty, he slowed to a trot. With his gun pointed at Psych’s head, Marvin stood and looked at him. Then Marvin lowered his gun, tossed it in the bushes and waved Psych on.
Psych rushed at Marvin and they struggled for a while, before Marvin pushed him off and hit Psych with lefts and rights to his face. Psych hit Marvin with a shot to the stomach and then they started going blow for blow. Psych would get off a good shot and Marvin would come right back. Then Marvin threw a hard punch to the face and Psych went down. Marvin stood over Psych and kicked him in the face. Then he stomped on Psych’s chest over and over before he got on top and swung away, punching Psych in the face several times. Marvin grabbed Psych by the throat and began pounding Psych’s head into the ground as RJ ran up.
“Money!” RJ yelled, and Marvin stopped.
When he stepped away from Psych, Marvin was breathing hard and he stumbled a little before he regained his balance.
“Give me your gun.”
RJ handed Marvin the gun and he stood over Psych.
He fired twice, one to the head, one to the chest and then he tossed the gun in the bushes.

Mike Black
For the last two weeks, Monika and her team had tracked and surveilled Crazy Nicky. Once I was satisfied that I knew everything that I needed to know, Monika made her recommendations about where and how and I decided when.
On the day that it was going to go down, I was with her. Not that I didn’t trust her to get it done, but I didn’t like Crazy Fuckin’ Nicky and I wanted to be there to watch him die.
So, there we are, me and Monika, as we had been plenty of times before, in an apartment waiting to kill somebody. Since my little chat with Jackie, I’ve been thinking a lot about the old days, so how me and Monika used to spend this time did cross my mind. Anyway, we were in an apartment across the street from one of Nicky’s goomah’s. She had the shot all lined up and was just waiting for her target to appear in her sights.
“You wanna look?” Monika asked.
“Sure
