My heart warmed as she pulled back. “I love him too. He got me to talk to my mom this weekend.”

Cam’s jaw dropped. “WHAT? Tell me everything.”

As we sat on the couch, I told her all about seeing my mom and catching up with her.

“That’s amazing,” Cam said. “Maybe she could work at your salon one day. Lord knows we need a good nail person around here.”

The wheels in my head were turning, but soon got interrupted by a knock on the door. Rhett and Cooper were looking at us through the screen door like a couple of lost puppies.

Cooper yelled, “We wanted to make sure you two didn’t kill each other!”

Rhett held up a plastic bag and a drink tray. “And we brought food!”

Cam giggled. “Looks like it’s not just us two in the family anymore.”

I smiled, hugging her close. “No, but it’s even better.”

Cooperand I were getting dressed in the guest bedroom of Camryn’s parents’ house, and he kept fiddling with his tie.

“Let me get it,” I said, going to adjust it.

“Thanks.” He took a breath and straightened his suit jacket. “I haven’t worn a tie since high school, and I’m pretty sure it had a zipper.”

I chuckled. “There’s a first and last for everything, right?”

Coop nodded. “Better be my first and last wedding.”

From the bedroom door, Camryn’s dad said, “Agree.”

We both looked over our shoulders at him, leaning against the frame. “It’s about that time,” he said. “Ready to go?”

Cooper nodded, adjusted his cowboy hat. “Yes, sir. Been ready since I first laid eyes on your daughter.”

Cam’s dad chuckled. “Right answer. Let’s get you two married.”

I followed the two of them out to the back door. Coop had to go out first and walk his mom and dad to their chairs, then Mags and Cam came out from Cam’s old bedroom. Mags had on this pretty blue sleeveless dress that brushed the floor and showed just the right amount of cleavage. “Beautiful,” I breathed. Then I remembered Cam was there too.

She looked gorgeous in a two-piece white dress, the top all lacy and the bottom flowing around her legs and gold sandals. “You’re a beautiful bride, Camryn,” I said and went to give her a hug.

She hugged me back. “Thank you, Rhett.”

I stepped back and looked around. “Is it our time to go?”

Dina said, “It sure is. Let me get out there first.” Dina gave Camryn a long hug and then patted my shoulder before going out the back door. As it opened, I could hear soft guitar strings playing.

Maggie turned, facing her friend. “The last time we’re both single girls.”

Cam’s face softened. “We haven’t been single girls since that first rodeo. We just didn’t know it then.”

Maggie smiled and hugged her friend tight. “I’m so happy for you.”

Cam squeezed her back, her eyes closed in the embrace. My heart warmed at the sight of the two of them. There were so many kinds of love in this world, and friendship had to be one of the best ways to experience love.

They let go of each other, and I extended my arm for Maggie. She easily slipped her hand through the crook of my elbow, holding a white and blue bouquet in the other hand.
