Story: Gather the Storm
From all of it.
I’d had feelings for them. For Wolf and Otis anyway. I’d allowed myself to believe they couldn’t have done it, that there had been some kind of mistake.
But I’d been wrong. Devastatingly, terrifyingly wrong.
My tires squealed as I peeled away from the curb, barreling toward the house.
Chapter 67
Wolf
It was quiet at Syd’s, right before the after-work crowd and on a weekday when out-of-town MCs weren’t cruising the area for a joyride.
Jace and I had thrown theories around on the way over, trying to guess what Aloha might have found, but they were all wild guesses. We didn’t have the first fucking clue who might have sent the broken vase and threatening letter to Daisy.
“There he is,” Jace said when we stepped into Syd’s dim interior. “In the back.”
Jace’s face was still scratched up from our fight at the compound, and my eye was still swollen, but they were the only signs of our brawl.
It had always been like that, ever since we were kids, even with Blake. We settled the worst of our disagreements with physical fights, got it out of our system. Then we were right as rain, even though nothing much had changed. I didn’t understand it, but it worked for us, and I was glad to be back to normal with Jace, if Jace having a stick up his ass about Daisy was normal.
I raised two fingers to Honey on our way into Syd’s to let her know we wanted two beers, and we made our way to the back of the bar where Aloha sat alone in a booth, nursing a beer and eating from a basket of curly fries.
“Yo,” he said when he saw us.
Jace tipped his head and slid into the booth across from Aloha. “Sup?”
“Not much,” Aloha said. “Needed a change of scenery. Been working on a special project nonstop. Want some fries?”
Jace shook his head. “No, thanks.”
“There you go, sugar,” Honey said, setting two beers on the table for Jace and me.
“Thanks,” I said.
“You still in the dog house?” Honey asked. “Your girl looked pretty pissed at Summer Shit.”
“Not our girl,” Jace said, his expression tight as a fist.
“She’s over it,” I said. And I knew she was over it because a couple of nights ago I’d fucked her from behind while she’d sucked Otis’ cock in a mini-orgy that ticked almost every one of my long-standing fantasies about Daisy.
My cock in her sweet little mouth? Check.
Her ass on display while I drove into her from behind? Double check.
Watching her take Otis’ dick in her mouth while I buried mine in her tight pussy? Triple check.
Pissing off Jace had been a bonus. Ditto lying with her afterward, her arms and legs tangled up in Otis and me like she was right where she belonged.
I tried to forget the fact that the whole thing had started because I’d found her trying to cop my phone, since it was obvious she’d been trying to cop my phone to find out what had happened between us and Blake.
She’d backed off the questions but she hadn’t really left it alone, and that scared the shit out of me.
“Find anything on the security cams?” Jace asked, cutting to the chase.
Aloha took a curly fry and popped it in his mouth. “Yeah, but you’re not going to like it.”
My stomach twisted. “Tell us anyway.”
