Story: California Sunsets

Erin had imagined this moment so many times—it was going to be sweet, soft, and slow. Then maybe she’d see if he wanted to take the dogs down to the beach together and they could have a romantic nighttime stroll, holding hands.
But there was no sweet and slow.
The moment their lips met, the heat exploded between them. She wound herself around him—she couldn’t get close enough. All she wanted was his skin, his touch, to feel the ripple of his muscles through his shirt. Vaguely she heard him kick the door closed behind her and then he picked her up, propping her against the door, and she wrapped her legs around him. His hands were everywhere, in her hair and on her back, clutching her hips as she squeezed her legs tighter, trying to bring them closer so that not even an inch of air was between them, so that she could feel every part of him. As she drew him in, she felt his arousal and pressed herself against it, a great shudder of pleasure coursing through her as they connected.
It was crazy—so fast and so hot she couldn’t believe it was really happening. She paused to gasp for breath and he moved his lips to her neck. The pleasure was almost too much; it was as though he knew exactly what she wanted him to do. She took justa second to check in with herself, but realized she felt completely safe with Jay.
If there was one thing she’d learned, it was that she had good instincts. They’d been right in college when she didn’t want to sleep with that pushy, awful guy, and over the years she’d grown more confident in her own judgment. So she cupped Jay’s face in her hands and kissed his mouth again, letting caution go and giving herself over to the glorious sensations racing through her body.
In between kisses he said, “Is this okay? I want you to be sure.”
She smiled and if she hadn’t been so aroused, the thoughtful question would have brought happy tears to her eyes. She whispered, “I’m more than sure.”
He grinned. “I want to take you upstairs and make love to you in that gorgeous bedroom, but I don’t think I can wait that long.”
She pulled his mouth back to hers. “Me neither.”
They’d have done it right there on the floor except there were two dogs looking very interested in the whole spectacle. He carried her into the living room and shut the French doors to give them privacy. He set her down and leaned over to flick on the gas fireplace. Erin used the opportunity to pull the polo shirt out of his jeans, lifting it up over his broad, muscled chest until he helped her and yanked it over his head.
He was glorious. Tanned and manly, with a beautiful physique.
Jay undid the straps of her blue summer dress and let the soft cotton fall to the ground. He stood back for a moment as though he was drinking in the sight of her, memorizing every curve and line of her half-naked body. She’d thought she might feel shy with Jay, who had seen so many sculpted and toned bodies. But she could see how much he wanted her, and she wanted him just as badly. She’d never wanted to be naked faster.
She fumbled with the buttons of his jeans until he took over, not wanting to wait a second longer. They were stepping out of shoes, kicking the clothes away, and then he grabbed a beautiful woven throw from the sofa and laid it in front of the fire. The whole scene couldn’t have been more hot and romantic if she’d written it herself. She was about to unhook her bra when he said, “Wait,” and ran in his underwear to the closest bathroom to fetch a condom. She loved watching him, the way his body moved, and how much he wanted her was very evident from the sizeable bulge she couldn’t help but eye up.
As soon as he returned, he kissed her again, exploring her body as though he wanted to know it all at once. He whipped off her bra and panties and thumbed down his briefs and then they were on the floor, limbs entwined, and it was happening so quickly and yet she wanted more—faster—
She moaned with abandon as his hands touched her where she was so wet and so wanting and she exploded almost immediately. She was barely over the wild tremors that shook her body with pleasure when she felt him push inside her, filling her completely. Their eyes locked. She’d never felt connection like this with anyone. She wrapped her legs around him, pulling him deeper inside her, and then they moved with a fierce rhythm, until the pair of them were crying out again and she felt Jay shudder on a long, low moan.
Spent, they fell side by side, and then he pulled her close so that she rested her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, following its pounding rhythm until it slowed along with his breathing.
He chuckled. “That was quite the first kiss.”
She laughed too, delighted with herself and with them, and with Mila for such good advice. That might have been the hottest sex of her life. “I think I might have skipped ahead a few scenes.”
He tapped her nose with a gentle finger. “That was a pretty good starter, but what do you say we take the next course upstairs?”
“I think that’s an excellent idea.”
Still naked, they rose and walked up the stairs. Jay let her go ahead and she could feel his eyes on her naked back and swaying hips. Once again, she was conscious she had no worry about her body in comparison to a supermodel or lingerie model. She was who she was and he either liked what he saw or he didn’t.
So far, all indications were that he liked it very much.
She could still feel his eyes on her as he said, “You’re killing me—you know that, right?”
She chuckled, putting a little extra sway into her hips. She was already aching for him. And when they got to his bedroom, he lifted her again, but this time it was gentle and sweet and he laid her down on that divine king-sized bed as if she were a delicate rose he’d plucked from the garden. His movements were slow now, his touch soft and intimate, and her skin prickled in thrill bumps as his fingertips swept over her and he followed them with kisses.
He was taking his time, getting to know her, learning her responses, finding her most erogenous zones and lingering there, tantalizingly. As much as she’d loved the passion of their first time together, this was something else completely. She allowed herself to be swept away by his touch until it felt as though she were floating on some sexy cloud.
Only when the waves began to shake her body did he enter her again, oh so slowly, so that she could appreciate every inch of him. They rocked together as her hands clung to his neck and she begged him for more—to go harder, faster. But, blissfully, he ignored her commands, keeping a slow and steady pace that kept her hovering on the edge of the strongest orgasm she’d ever experienced. Sweat trickled between her breasts and she realizedshe was shaking when Jay slid his fingers between hers and held her tight as she reached the peak of her pleasure. Only when her breathing calmed did Jay allow himself to let go, moaning her name into her ear, his breath hot.
Exhausted by their lovemaking, Erin closed her eyes, and only when she woke hours later did she realize that she’d fallen asleep curled up in Jay’s strong arms. She smiled into his chest, feeling warm and safe.
Then she realized she hadn’t given a single thought to the dogs. Were they okay?
She raised up on her elbow and looked down to see two very happy dogs flopped on the bedroom floor, side by side.
She’d never known a heart could be so full.
