When he finally withdrew his fingers, I whimpered at the loss. Sky positioned himself between my legs, his eyes never leaving mine as he coated himself with the remaining oil. In the dim light, I could see the tremble in his hands, the tight control he was exerting over himself.

“This might hurt a little at first,” he warned, brushing sweat-dampened hair from my forehead. “We’ll go slow.”

I nodded, wrapping my arms around his shoulders, drawing him closer until our foreheads touched. The initial pressure made me tense, a sharp discomfort that had me digging my fingers into Sky’s back. He froze immediately, his muscles trembling with the effort of holding still.

“Breathe,” he whispered, his voice strained. “Just breathe through it.”

I forced myself to relax, focusing on the sensation of his breath mingling with mine, the gentle stroke of his thumb against my cheek. Gradually, the pain subsided, replaced by a fullness that bordered on pleasure.

“You can move,” I murmured, shifting my hips experimentally.

Sky’s movements were achingly slow at first, careful and measured as if I might break beneath him. But as my gasps of discomfort transformed into soft moans of pleasure, his control began to slip. His rhythm deepened, each thrust drawing sounds from me that I muffled against his shoulder.

“You feel amazing,” he breathed against my ear, his voice rough with desire. His tail curled around my thigh, the soft fur a stark contrast to the firmness of his body inside mine. “You’re so beautiful like this… even more so than before.”

I was lost in sensation, every nerve ending alive with pleasure.

The moonlight filtered through the small window, casting shadows across Sky’s face as he moved above me.

His eyes, glowing with an intensity I’d never seen before, never left mine.

In them, I saw something unguarded and vulnerable, something he’d kept hidden behind his gruff exterior until now.

“Sky,” I whispered, my voice breaking as a particularly deep thrust sent sparks through my entire body.

He leaned down, capturing my lips in a kiss that swallowed my moans.

His movements became more urgent, less controlled, as we both chased the building tension between us.

The wooden floor was hard beneath the thin blanket, but I barely noticed, too consumed by the feeling of him against me, inside me, all around me.

His hand slipped between our bodies, wrapping around me once more, stroking in time with his thrusts. The dual sensations were overwhelming, pushing me closer to the edge with each passing second.

“I’m close,” I gasped against his mouth, my fingers digging into his shoulders.

“Me too,” he growled, his voice barely human. His wolf ears twitched forward, focusing entirely on me.

I was close. So close. The pleasure built like a wave, threatening to crash over me at any moment. Sky’s rhythm faltered, his movements becoming more erratic as he too neared his peak. His fingers tightened around me, stroking faster, pushing me toward the edge.

“Let go,” he whispered against my ear, his voice ragged. “It feels incredible.” He kissed my ear softly. “I’ve got you.”

Those words, soft and sincere, broke something loose inside me. The tension that had been building snapped, and pleasure washed over me in overwhelming waves. I bit down on Sky’s shoulder to muffle my cry, my body arching beneath him as I spilled between us.

Sky followed moments later, his face buried against my neck as he shuddered above me. I felt his release, hot and pulsing, as his hips jerked against mine. A low, rumbling growl vibrated through his chest, so primal and raw it sent aftershocks of pleasure through my already oversensitive body.

For several moments, we stayed locked together, our ragged breathing the only sound in the quiet kitchen.

Sky’s weight pressed me into the blanket, but I welcomed it, wrapping my arms tighter around him to keep him close.

I never wanted to let go. His skin was slick with sweat, his heartbeat thundering against mine as we both came down from our shared high.

“Are you okay?” Sky whispered finally, lifting his head to look at me. His expression was uncharacteristically tender, concern evident in his eyes as he searched my face.

“More than okay,” I answered truthfully, my voice hoarse. I reached up to touch his face, tracing the sharp line of his jaw with my fingertips. “In fact… I don’t think I’ve ever been better.”

Sky smiled, leaning down to kiss me once more. “I’m glad to hear it.”

He shifted carefully, separating our bodies with gentle movements. I winced slightly at the loss, my body already feeling the effects of our passion. Sky noticed immediately, his brow furrowing.

“Did I hurt you?” he asked, alarmed.

I shook my head, offering him a reassuring smile. “Nothing a little healing can’t fix. And nothing I regret.”

Relief washed over his features. He reached for a spare cloth hanging from the kitchen basin, using it to clean us both with surprising tenderness.

When he finished, he pulled me against him, wrapping the blanket around us both as we lay on the hard floor, our bodies still humming with the afterglow of what we’d shared.

“We should probably move,” I murmured against his chest, though I made no effort to do so. The floor was uncomfortable, but Sky’s warmth more than made up for it. “If Kuro finds us like this… he’ll probably never let us live it down.”

“Probably,” he agreed, his fingers tracing lazy patterns on my back. His tail was still curled possessively around my thigh. “But we can stay like this a little bit longer.”

I closed my eyes, breathing in his scent once more. It was wild and earthy, like the forest after rain. Despite the danger we faced, the uncertainty of tomorrow, and the RSB soldiers standing guard outside, I felt strangely at peace.

“What happens now?” I asked softly, not looking up at him. I wasn’t sure if I meant between us or with our precarious situation as prisoners.

Sky was quiet for a long moment, his breathing steady beneath my ear. When he spoke, his voice was thoughtful, stripped of its usual defensive edge.

“I don’t know,” he admitted. “But whatever comes next, we face it together.”

His words settled over me like a promise. I nodded against his chest, letting my eyes fall shut. For the first time since arriving in Selas, I felt a sense of belonging. Not to the place, but to someone. To Sky.

“Together,” I echoed, the word a promise of its own.
