Pairs or couplings were less common than multiple partners. Also, open relationships were the norm for their culture. Both Nyx and Tam probably fucked people outside of their relationship, but if they had children, it was only with each other. For couples who couldn’t make children with their current partners, the mulkrake would choose one outside of the coupling.
I was unsure if they had kids, as I didn’t know them, or if they were even old enough to have children. Lollikrakes reached adulthood in their thirtieth year, but they weren’t able to start having children until fifty or sixty. They lived to be about three hundred.
Also, Tam was a mulkrake. I knew from the viscous liquid they’d squirted down my throat. They were unable to impregnate or get pregnant, but that liquid could induce a “false heat” and acted as an extreme aphrodisiac, for lack of a better term. And they had three sex organs. Two spicul, or spiculi for plural, which released livns, and one pleasure cock, which, according to the databases, felt and responded much like ahuman dick in terms of sexual pleasure. They also had a hole in between their tentacles that moistened, and most mulkrakes enjoyed being penetrated.
In the great scheme of lollikrake pairings, mulkrakes bound the partnerships together. They were the ones who introduced new partners into the mix and started the claiming process, as well as, historically, cared for the children. Livns helped with the breeding process as well. Overall, they were basically the manager of the household.
Now, Nyx, on the other hand, was either an implekrake, or fetkrake, or praekrake. The first could both get pregnant and impregnate, and they had a pleasure cock, a semmin for breeding, and a womb. The second could impregnate and had a pleasure cock and a semmin, and the last could get pregnant and had a pleasure cock and a womb—and all had a hole that moistened.
He could be any of those, and it truly didn’t matter which, but I was curious. I wanted to know everything. There was a draw toward them that I’d never experienced before, and I didn’t want to be swept away with these emotions, because this was a clear and precise contract.
I was their slut for their vacation, and that was all I was.
Catching feelings for the lollikrake couple would be among the stupidest things I’d ever done. But when someone knocked on the door, and I heard Nyx’s voice a moment later, my stupid heart pounded, and I smoothed a hand down my chest, wanting to look nice for him.
Swallowing, I stepped out of my room, suitcase in hand. Nyx ran his purple eyes down my frame, and I couldn’t stop the blush that burned my cheeks or the way I submissively lowered my gaze from his possessive eyes.
Moving toward him, I reasoned I’d never been that smart anyway.
Chase walked right beside me, keeping in perfect step with me. He didn’t fight or try to move away. Though why would he? The human had agreed to this. He desired it, probably not as much as Tam, but the point remained. Chase did want us—Tam.
We were returning to the cabin that I’d purchased for the next three days, and I fought a victorious grin that wanted to split my face. I’d secured the most excellent gift for Tam. My coupling desired this human greatly, and they would have him. Chase had even consented to have Tam flood him, which meant he could keep up with their high sex drive.
All in all, I was satisfied with how this worked out.
My gaze flicked to the man beside me. He hadn’t spoken the entire time, remaining silent and keeping his eyes on the ground. It hadn’t been hard to tell from my first meeting with him that Chase enjoyed being controlled. He’d obediently taken my fingers into his mouth, sucking and licking on them as his wide eyes had sought mine, searching for further instructions. Even now, he was awaiting my orders.
His lists of hard noes and the things he liked had also been illuminating. He loved pain, degradation—especially being called a slut—and bondage, spanking, and was submissive, not to mention all of the other things he’d listed. Chase would fit with Tam… and maybe me.
I loved my coupling more than anything in this universe, and I desired nothing else, but my need for control and caretaking weren’t always met. And with secondary partners and playmates, I didn’t always feel the need to ply them with affection and care, though I still enjoyed dominating them. I had to have a strong emotional connection binding me to a person towish to care for them. I had that alone with Tam, but my mate had to fly free or be broken, and yet I wanted to haul them close and order them to follow me while I smothered them with love. That wasn’t what my Tam needed. To do so would be to harm them, which I would never do.
This human, though, might desire as I did.
I effectively cut off the line of thought. I didn’t currently desire a secondary relationship, nor was it my place to search for or add partners to my coupling with Tam. They were the ones who brought new members into the coupling. Besides, we didn’t need anyone else. We were perfectly content and in love. I wouldn’t grow attached to someone that I couldn’t keep. Also, there was no way this human would consent to be ours after the mere three days we’d spend on this planet.
The walk passed in peaceful silence, and when we reached the domicile, I pointed to the guest bedroom that was downstairs. “That will be your resting place.”
Chase smiled, and I was struck by the little divot in his cheek. Unable to stop my movement, I poked it. “What’s this?”
“Oh,” he said, flushing, and dropped his eyes as quickly as they had met mine. “It’s a dimple.”
The second I saw it, I realized that I loved it. It was wondrous, and I needed to see it again.
“Why were you amused?” I asked, crossing my arms, annoyed at my reaction to him. I wouldn’t be overtaken by this human.
“Resting place is what humans from Terra call where our dead are buried."
“You’re from Terra?” I asked, eyebrows shooting up.
There weren’t that many humans who were from their original planet. Once the species had started spacefaring, they’d spread across the universe and reproduced, claiming uninhabited planets for themselves and forming new governments. Not that many humans remained on their original planet, and those whodid rarely left. They were usually obsessed with caring for and restoring their planet to its former glory.
He nodded. “Me and Jared both.”
That was quite extraordinary. “How did you come to be here?”
A sad smile flicked over his lips before vanishing. It had been quick, but I hated it. Any form of sadness or hurt shouldn’t be allowed to touch this dimpled, spotted human.
“It’s a long story.” He pushed his thin fingers through his brown hair. “So I’ll be sleeping here?”
