Chapter 17

Clear Skies

Haley

I swing around in Zane’s arms, looking into his dark brown eyes. I know what he wants to talk about, and he’s not wrong. We should talk about a lot of things. What Calvin said to me on the beach before Sam arrived. I’ve been pushing that down. Because how can I love all four of them and be attracted to Sam? The way Calvin’s eyes shined with certainty when he said it... I’ve been feeling it too. But a voice in the back of my head says they care for me because I’m the only option. Then another part of me gets defensive. It’s like the angel and devil on my shoulders from old cartoons my mom liked to watch with me. It’s real; at least, what I feel for them is.

My arms loop around Zane’s neck. I’m being selfish. But how can I not be? I want all of them. And I suppose, as much as I want to be positive, I’ve taken on a little of Calvin’s pessimism. Now everything feels... weird. We haven’t been rescued, but maybe there is a way off the island.

“Or...” I step up on my tiptoes and take Zane’s lips with mine. His kiss is tentative to begin with, but it doesn’t take long before his tongue is in my mouth. Demanding, possessing. I want all of him. I want all of them. Zane’s hands hitch under my bottom, lifting me onto him. My ankles lock around his back, and he turns and pushes me up against the tree. It’s not until I reach back that I realize it’s not the cold tree but the warm muscular wall of Easton.

“Hey, Firefly.” Easton’s lips tingle along my collarbone, and his fingertips trail lightly down the sides of my arms.

Zane pulls back and lifts my freshly braided―and tied with a hair tie, not my bandanna―hair to his nose. “You washed your hair, Little Bird.” I expect him to say something like you smell better or good , but he doesn’t. His eyes flash. It’s weird to even see his eyes. Sleeping on the lower platform, I’ve become accustomed to not seeing anything. It’s not like on the beach where the moon can peek through. Here it’s just dark. But not now―the little twinkle lights are doing their best to stay on, and there’s a bigger lantern hanging under the middle of the mosquito net, a lone moth flapping around it.

“Do you not like how it smells?”

“No—yes. Yes, Little Bird, I like how you smell.” He kisses my lower lip, sucking it into his mouth. “You okay?” He runs his finger under the strap of my bra, and I shiver.

I nod at him. “Never better.”

“Oh, I think we can do better. You got her, Rockwell?”

Easton’s grip on me tightens. Zane unlatches my legs from around his waist, and he melts to his knees in front of me.

Immediately, my fingers go to his hair. My own head pushes back against Easton’s shoulder. “Zane.” My breath rushes out of me. I lift my head and look beyond him. Calvin and Dante are watching while Zane makes swift work of pulling my clean short shorts to one side. His hot tongue finds its way to my core, and I jerk back with desire. My hips are ready to take off on their own.

Dante’s soft chuckle fills the night air. “That’s it, Sassy. You like what the Brit is doing to you, don’t you?”

I suck on my lower lip and nod.

“Come on, Zane. Have Easton put her on our new bed. Let us all have a chance,” Calvin growls.

Zane gives my clit one more long lick, then rights my shorts. He stands with such force I tug on his hair.

“I’m sorry, Zane.”

“No worries, Little Bird. You can pull on my hair if I can pull on yours.”

“You know Sassy likes an edge of pain. I don’t think that’s going to be a problem.”

“She does, doesn’t she?” Zane wraps his hands around my waist and takes me from Easton like I weigh nothing. In two steps, he has me on the new cushions. I’m staring up over the tin and wooden roof. There’s a layer of the raft between the tin and the mosquito netting. The fairy lights aren’t bright, but there is light bouncing off the orange, giving the treehouse a cozy glow. And having the cushions below me? It feels like I’m at a five-star hotel in the best city in Europe. But then they don’t have service like this anywhere.

Easton peels my shoes and socks off. Zane has my shorts around my legs. Dante and Calvin have the straps to my bra down.

“This is nice, Chiefie. Maybe we should leave it on.” Calvin runs the pad of his finger over the satin edge.

“It’s pretty, but a naked Haley is better.” Easton reaches around and snaps my bra off.

It comes off the rest of the way, but then Calvin’s large hands wrap a soft piece of fabric around my eyes. The dim evening light vanishes behind a blindfold. His breath warms the side of my ear as he tightens it over my hair. “I meant what I said.” He kisses the soft spot behind my ear, and my skin goosebumps all over my neck. He meant what he said. He loves me. I want to say it back, but I can’t. Not in front of the other guys because, well, I love them too. I think. No, I do. I love all of them. Each of them do something different for me. They say there’s no such thing as the perfect person. Together they are.

“What are you thinking about, Firefly? You’re getting all tense.” Easton’s hot mouth sucks on my breast, and my hips fly up, pushing into Zane’s mouth.

Before I can answer, Zane hitches his arms around the underside of my legs, pulling my pussy into his mouth. He’s off, his tongue flying around my clit. My head pushes back, and Calvin’s mouth is on mine. He swallows down my moans. When I’m spiraling with the three of them, I remember Dante. And it puts me on edge. What is he doing? When is he going to join? I take my hand from the side of Calvin’s ear and move it around me.

Calvin breaks our kiss. “What are you doing, Chiefie? Wondering what Dante is up to? Don’t worry about anything. Trust me, you’re going to like it. I won’t let his monster dick hurt you.” Calvin chuckles. It’s low and warm and completely unexpected.

“I can’t see anything through the blindfold. I want to see you.”

Zane lifts his mouth from my core. “No, you want to know what Dante’s up to. And that, love, is going to be a surprise.” Then he’s right back at it.

Even Easton is laughing, and now I’m really twisting, wondering what is going on.

“Open your mouth, Sassy. You’re so impatient.”

I reach for him, swinging my hands. But Calvin grabs one wrist, Easton the other.

“Now, no cheating, Firefly.” Easton pinches my nipple, keeping the pressure on until I arch toward him. Dante is right when he says I like a little bit of pain, not too much, but Easton lets go before it really begins to hurt. I open my mouth, but then I hear a spoon scraping along a pot.

“Good.” Calvin lets go of my hand. Easton too.

“Open up, Sassy.”

I open my mouth, and all the guys pause their attack on my body.

It’s warm, and with the first touch on my tongue I’m not sure what it is, but then the sugar and the chocolate hit my tastebuds. It’s overwhelming. So weird―I’d almost forgotten what chocolate tasted like. I make a noise somewhere between a groan and a moan. I’m not sure which.

“You want more? There’s a little left,” Chef’s voice is deep.

I shake my head. “No, you guys should have some.”

“Firefly, you keep talking about how all you want is chocolate.” Easton runs his hands over my stomach. “Have another taste. Dante mixed this up just for you.”

“I’ve got another idea. Sassy’s right―we should all have a little taste. Open up, Sassy.”

I momentarily purse my lips and then open them. Another warm spoonful. And then Dante drizzles down my front, around my breasts, to my core. “Now we can all have a taste,” he says. And the rest of the guys groan.

“What?” I push up onto my elbows.

“Come here, Chiefie.” Calvin pulls my shoulder up onto his lap. “You’ll know in a second.”

Zane and Easton’s tongues are trailing around my skin.

“Dig in, Green.” Dante laughs.

“It’s fine. I don’t want you choking our girl.”

And I instantly know where the rest of the chocolate went. I open my mouth.

“See, Green, Haley’s not afraid of my cock.” Dante rubs the tip of it against my mouth. “But I do appreciate the teamwork.” He pushes it between my lips. “Fuck Sassy, that’s so good.”
