He grabbed the flask from Alec's flaccid hand.
The paralysis broke. Alec clutched at the crotch of his jeans, jumping and shaking his legs,
forcing the snow to fall through the cuffs at his feet. "W-why? Why? Why would you do that?"
"Do I really have to tell you? You're a big boy, Alec. You can take it."
"I just thought…"
"I know what you thought. And I ain't mad that you're thinking it. But not tonight. We're drunk…
and I am a pristine young lady," he said, removing his hat with a courtly bow.
"I don't buy that for a minute."
"I beg your pardon, good sir. I have my reputation to think about."
"Yeah," said Alec, gesturing to the woods. "God knows what the deer and antelope would think."

"I don't care about them. But what about Brandy? She's standing right there."
Alec eyed the horse. The horse was looking at him.
"I guess she is a little intimidating."
"Youdon't have to live with her."
Alec reached out and stroked Brandy's mane. "I'm sorry, girl. It was rude of me to dry-hump
your Daddy, and on your back, no less. I sincerely apologize for my lack of hormonal control."
"She forgives you. And so do I."
Brandy snorted.
Tyler reached again for Alec who flinched instinctively, wary of another prank. But this time
Tyler gestured openly with his hands as if calming a colt. They landed on Alec's shoulders, sliding slowly down his arms and pulling him closer. Tyler kissed him. It was a masculine kiss that Alec
welcomed—soft lips etched with rough beard stubble, lingering bourbon diluted to the point of
sweetness. Whether lust-drunk or just plain weary, Alec caved completely, his knees weakening.
Tyler felt the give, and held him tighter, supporting them both. With this yield, his tongue probed past Alec's lips—just enough to tease him with its velvety smoothness and the spicy heat of Jack Daniels.
When he released Alec, Tyler held him at arm's length, making sure that he remained standing.
"Are you OK?"
Alec swayed a little, eyes fluttering open. "Yeah. You're not gonna hit me with a snowball, are you?"
"Nope. Maybe when I know you better."
"You could know me better right now if you wanted to."
Tyler stroked Alec's cheek with the back of his hand. "It's tempting, but let's wait. I can't have a handsome city-boy corrupting me on our first date."
