“Fuck you,” Preston scoffs.
Smiling, I bury my face into Declan’s chest and let sleep take hold of me, feeling safe, wanted, and loved. A feeling I hope lasts a lifetime. Because I never want this to end.
Chapter 13
Collin
“Good morning,” Mom says, joining me in the kitchen.
“Morning,” I grunt, taking an aggressive bite of my apple.
She pauses with a raised brow. “Who shit in your cornflakes?”
I nearly choke on my food. “Mom!” I rasp, clearing my throat.
“What?” she asks, leaning against the counter. “You look like someone kicked your dog, broke your favorite toy, then stole your best friend.”
“Someone did take my best friend,” I growl. “My wife. Those little shits have been holding her hostage for almost a week now!”
“Who?” Mom’s brows furrow, looking more concerned. “The guys?”
“No.” I lean forward, eyes hard. “Those girls,” I spit the last word.
Mom’s lips lift into a smile. “You mean her best friends?”
“I’m her best friend,” I huff.
“You’re acting like a jealous man, Collin.” She laughs.
“Yeah, and?” I raise a brow. “I am one. Whenever she’s not with me, I want her to be. I agreed to share her with her other boyfriends, not the girls. They’ve never been much of a problem until now.”
“Alright, humor me. Why are they so much of a problem?”
“They think she spends too much time with us.” I shake my head. “What do they expect? She has four boyfriends who allwant to be up her ass twenty-four seven.” Both figuratively and literally. “We’re a lot of work, you know?”
“Oh, trust me, I know.” She snorts.
“Hey. Be nice. I’m your son.” I narrow my eyes.
“My sweet baby boy,” she mocks. “Do you need Mommy to tell those mean, mean girls to back off your woman?”
I know she’s joking, but...”Yes.”
“Collin,” she laughs, grabbing a dish towel and throwing it at me. “Stop it. Those girls are her best friends. They deserve her time, too. They’ve been with her through a lot in her life. Don’t start being the kind of man who makes her pick between her friends or her boyfriend.”
“I know.” I groan, tossing my head back. “I just need to get my hands on her, you know?” After that very memorable primal play masked men day, my need to get my hands on her has been amped up tenfold. I’m pulling her into my office to fuck her over my desk any time I can get my hands on her.
Sadly, nothing in the past week because she’s always with them in school. After school, she’s with one of the guys. I hate it. I need her. I crave her. It’s turning me into a whiny little bitch.
“Collin, I do not want to hear about how much you want to have sex with your wife,” she chastises me like I’m a teenager. “But, maybe I can offer some advice. Why don’t you take her away for the weekend? We have a jet, you know. One that none of us use much these days. I can get someone to take you two for the weekend, then you can bring her to the cabin in the mountains.”
My eyes widen, a grin taking over my face. “Holy fuck, how have I never thought of that?”
“Because I’m smart and...” She gives me a sympathetic, mocking look. “You're not.”
“Haha,” I deadpan. “Anyways, yes, please set that up. We’ll leave after school.”
“Aren't you going to ask Sadie to see if she can go?”
