Page 33 of Touched By Moonlight
And then when she confessed to being so hungry, I felt this tightness in my chest. Sienna was different. She had known pain and suffering and yet she was sweet and kind, unlike many of herkind.
When she kissed me on my cheek, it took all my control not to pull her into my arms and cuddle with her. I wanted to somuch.
Nick stayed mostly quiet, watching her. Nick doesn’t trust manypeople.
As Grayson’s betas and bodyguards, we have a good system between us. Most times when we’re on assignment, he scans the surroundings to make sure Grayson’s ass is covered and I disarm others with my charm and gift of small talk. It’s a trait that can diffuse tension in the most uptight human. I don’t talk about myself. I find something to draw out the person I’m with, ask questions and get to know them by giving them space to breathe and talk about what ailsthem.
Nick does the listening and I do thetalking.
I’m still not real sure about Sienna. I know what she is and what she’s capable of. But she’s been nothing but sweet to me and tonight at the bar, things changed between us. I felt I could trust her more. Maybe not share my darkest secret, but trust her enough to bring her into ourhome.
We know what she is. Fae. Not just any Fae, but Fionn, the most dangerous Fae ofall.
Werewolf shifters are so different from the nature-loving Fae. Most Fae are arrogant but harmless. It’s the Fionn Fae you have to watch outfor.
They’re like harps and flutes, elegance and fluff. They would drift away on a cloud if they could. They’re dangerous because you can take them for granted, and just as you get used to them smiling and playing their music and chatting about the beauty of the earth, they’ll whip out a blade and slice you when you least expect it. All while still holding onto thatsmile.
They’re sly and untrustworthy. Except Sienna seems different. Different from the last Fionn Fae I had encountered, the one who broke my heart and nearly broke me inhalf.
I hold a fierce loyalty to our alpha and our packs, and don’t like outsiders. But Grayson wants Sienna and what Grayson wants, I will help him get aswell.
I wasn’t happy Sienna mentioned the campground. That place pulses with energy that makes the hairs on my neck stand up straight. I don’t like it, but Grayson said the energy in the ground is important to the safety of thepack.
When Grayson pulled off into the picnic area, I knew what would happen. I knew they’d havesex.
Judging from the arousal coming off Sienna in waves, she wanted it as badly as Grayson. Me and Nick, we were determined to keep our alpha and Sienna safe from whatever might happen along as they gave into their feelings and fucked hard andfast.
When they finished, I thought my cock was going to explode, I wanted her so badly. But like I said, anticipation can be as sweet as thereward.
I only hope if she consents to being my lover as well, she won’t turn on me like my last Faelover.
Because this time I wouldn’t have to worry about Nick going rogue and killingher.
I’ll lose all control and end up doing itmyself.
