He massages my waist, holding me tighter, and I’m unable to answer that question. He drives deeper, so deep that for a moment I can’t even breathe. My nails claw at his back, and when he slams into me again, I know I’ve drawn blood. He sucks in a breath, his eyes blazing with feral hunger.
“You’re mine, Sienna. You can tell me anything. I’ll never let it get between us… we – fuck… we will get through this together,” he rasps huskily, his voice low.
I’m so close… I can’t answer even if I wanted to. I’m too far gone. All I can do is cry out as he pounds into me, the knot of pleasure threatening to snap.
His hand slides to my neck, wrapping around it in a move that tells me I’m his.
“You’re mine, say it.” I gasp, and his hand tightens slightly. “I said, say it, Darling.”
“Y-yours,” I gasp, the words fall from my lips like a whispered prayer.
He snarls in approval and slams into me harder. My legs wrap around him on instinct, locking him in. His lips graze my neck as every part of me tenses. I’m on the brink of ecstasy as he hits the spot again and again.
I feel it before I understand what’s happening. I feel the sharp sting of teeth grazing skin. Not biting, but almost…
My heart stutters, my eyes flying open as I turn to stare into his vibrant blue ones.
He… almost marked me…
“Fuck…” he whispers as I gaze into his eyes. He drives into me again, harder than before.
I clench around him tightly as my orgasm explodes through me, blistering pleasure makes my toes curl as euphoria dances around me. He follows with a growl that echoes like thunder, burying his face in my neck as he spills inside me, his whole body trembling with the force of it.
“One day soon, I’ll mark you. But that day isn’t today…” he whispers in my ears, making my entire body tingle with the thought. I wrap my arms around him, pulling him against me as I stare at the ceiling, as he buries his head into my neck.
I feel the promise in his breath, in the way his teeth linger on my skin.
Soon.
A single tear trickles down my cheek as I try to speak, try to tell him I’ve fucked up, tell him I need help, but nothing comes out of my mouth.
Nothing.
We are the last ones down. Everyone turns to look at me as I follow Jayce into the lounge after showering. I smile politely.
“Sorry I’m late,” I say as I take one of the two empty seats, the one between Allie and Heaven, whilst Jayce sits across the table next to his grandfather.
Speaking of, the older man cocks a brow as he glances between Jayce and me.
“Well, we were nice enough to save you a seat right between us,” Allie says, smiling sweetly. It doesn’t reach her eyes, and I giggle. So, they specifically saved me a seat, so I didn’t sit anywhere near Jayce.
“It’s quite alright, let’s eat!” Aunty Raven says as she sits between Theo and Uncle Liam. She looks so small in comparison to the two giants.
“You didn’t miss much, Jayce. I did take a look at one of the books, and it appears that a few of us can read them: Dad, Theo, Carter, Dante, Katara and Kiara, which means most likely so can your other brothers.
There’s a lot of information to get through, and if we work together, it’ll help us be able to translate all the information into English,” Uncle Liam says as we all dig into the delicious meal in front of us.
There’s a variety of dishes, including roasted chicken, which is the first thing I put on my plate. I am famished.
“Hmm, for now, aside from Dante and yourself, I don’t want anyone else reading them.” Jayce frowns deeply as he says this, and several of us at the table look surprised.
“Why do you say that? We are family here,” Enrique says.
Jayce shakes his head. “The fewer who know, the less chances there are that they can be tortured for the information. What information can be shared will be, and that which needs to be kept secret shall be.”
“Jayce, that’s-” Uncle Liam begins.
“He’s the Deimos King, Liam. These tomes are his responsibility,” Grandma Red says.
“So, you don’t trust us,” Carter states.
“I don’t think that’s why he said that,” Kataleya says softly. “This is his duty-”
“Not the time for that, Kat,” Carter cuts her off.
“You won’t speak to your cousin like that,” Aunty Raven says, her eyes flashing warningly.
Carter shakes his head, clearly pissed as he picks up his glass, gulping half of it down before placing it down harder than expected.
“You can place locks on them that only you can open. If you want, I can help you with that,” Heaven says.
“You know, Blondie, we have the King of Witches here?” Theo remarks.
“I actually like how she’s well-learned on spells,” Enrique says.
Heaven looks at him, and I hear her heart skip a beat. “So, can you be my mentor?”
Enrique looks surprised as Kataleya smiles, and everyone looks at Heaven.
“Opportunist,” Theo remarks.
“I take back what I said earlier. I’m not impressed. You just got lucky,” she says haughtily, tossing her hair before turning her gaze back to Enrique, clearly waiting for an answer.
“I may be the El Rey Carmesí, but I don’t know spells. Your mother is the one who might be the best to mentor you.”
“I see… Thank you,” Heaven replies. She tilts her head, but although she says nothing more, I know she’s thinking about something.
I give her hand a gentle squeeze under the table. I know why she wants a teacher who isn’t her mama. She wants someone who will push her to her limits, someone who won’t worry all the time.
“Maybe you can find another powerful witch to mentor you?” I suggest softly.
Heaven nods. “Yes, because I plan on becoming the most powerful witch this world has ever seen.”
Although a few of the elders chuckle at her confidence, something inside of me stirs, the hair on my arms rising.
Her words were like a promise, but they are laced with something else.
Something… deadlier.
