I nod, and Jimmy leaves the two of us. Brad wraps his arms around me, and I feel safe—home. That’s the best way to describe him. He’s my rock.“Brad, you’re getting security. No way am I going to let anything happen to you.”

“Don’t worry about me. They’ll catch him.”

“Well, I do worry about you. I’m going to call the studio and make them send someone else over.”

He chuckles. “You won’t be able to.”

I pull back from him and narrow my eyes. “Why’s that?”

“Because when we get back to the room, I’m going to tie you down and make you a moaning, panting mess. You’re going to forget all about this as I turn your brain into mush.”

My fear is replaced by pure need by his words. The throb between my legs makes me want to reach down and ease some of the tension.

“Now, be a good girl and get back to set.” He nips my earlobe, and I whimper.

“You’re not playing fair.”

He helps me stand and takes a fistful of my ass in his large hands. “Mine,” he growls. “See you on set.” Just like that, he’s gone.

I take a deep breath. He’s really going to kill me.He wants to tie me down?I swear, this man knows all my secrets without me having to say a word to him. How is that even possible? None of my other boyfriends have even come close to figuring me out. I’m not needed for the next scene, so I sneak away to my trailer for a little alone time as I think about Brad and all the dirty things he’s going to do to me.

I open the door and see a small bouquet of flowers on the table. He’s so sweet!

Chapter 18

She wants to go out,and I think it’s best if we do. She needs a distraction from everything, and if I’m being honest, so do I.How did this whole stalker situation get so out of hand? How has he managed to get this close without any of us catching on? This guy really is twisted. There’s a sharp knock on my door before a piece of paper slides under it.Oh, hell no!I don’t even look at what’s on it.

I pull open the door with enough force that it slams into the wall and look left and right. When I see no one, I race down the hallway toward the stairs. He’s not going to get away. I’m going to end this once and for all. I run down the stairs, the sound of my footfalls echoing throughout the confined space. I see movement below me and know that’s my guy.

Faster, move faster.

He pulls open the door for floor four, and I race after him, just a few steps behind.

“Hey!” I call out to him. My heart is beating so loud I hear it in my ears. The man turns in time for me to slam him against the wall. I press my forearm into his chest, holding him immobile with my weight.

“What the fuck, man?”he hollers and tries to buck me off him.

“Who are you?” I snarl. “What did you put under my door?”

He scrunches his face. “What? It’s a new call sheet for tomorrow. I’m Dimitri, Joe’s second assistant.” I release him and take a step back.

Shit. What did I just do?

“What the fuck is your deal, Bradley? You just attacked me out of nowhere. Who does that?” He rolls his shoulder and fixes the collar of his shirt.

“I’m so sorry. I thought you… I thought you were someone else.”I’m in so much trouble.

“So, you attack me?” The sarcasm oozes out of him.

“Can you come back up to my floor? There’s something you need to know, and I need Jimmy there so you understand.”

I’mlucky Dimitri doesn’t want to press charges. What I did was reckless, but I was only thinking about Elena. Until Jimmy showed Dimitri the evidence and the letters Elena has been receiving, he didn’t believe a word I’d told him. His features softened, and he started to understand the severity of it.

He promised not to press charges, and he’s going to keep an eye out for anything fishy on set.

“Best not to tell Elena about this,” I say.
