“Is that an option?” Caspian asked.
“Of course,” he said. “Always.”
Caspian was off the couch before Vince finished speaking, the two of them halfway up the stairs before Vince turned back to me. “And you?”
“I’ll be along.”
Vince nodded his approval, leaving me on the couch and Orion standing in the hall. I spun around, resting my forearms on the back of the couch, propping my chin up and gazing at the other man. Orion was far from reclusive, but we all knew of the three of us, Vince was the one he favored. He enjoyed me on occasion and tolerated Caspian, but I’d never felt unimportant to Orion, and that counted for a lot.
“What’s on your mind?” I asked.
He’d been distracted all day. Not like he’d ever been outwardly social to begin with, but he’d been more scarce than normal. If he wasn’t with Vince in the office, he was alone in another room, cleaning his gun or glaring at his cellphone.
“I have an errand,” he said. “Vince doesn’t know.”
“That doesn’t seem like you.”
He exhaled dramatically, shoving his hands into his pockets. I realized Orion was dressed for work, in slacks and a white button-up, holster strapped around his shoulder. He rarely wore it at home, and I was curious why he’d chosen to today. Probably because of my uncle, Iimagined.
“Can you keep him distracted?”
“I doubt it, but how long do you need?”
He worked his jaw. “An hour.”
“I won’t lie to him for you,” I said.
“I didn’t ask that. I just asked if you could keep him distracted.”
I stood then, stretching my legs and lifting my arms over my head. My shirt hiked up, revealing a strip of skin between the bottom of my shirt and the top of my pants. Orion’s gaze flickered south, nostrils flaring.
“Of course I can,” I told him. “But it’s been a while since I’ve distracted you.”
“You’re always distracting,” he murmured, forcing his stare back to my face. His eyes were bright and clear, and so fucking expressive. “An hour, though.”
“I won’t be counting.”
His mouth twisted into a grin and he laughed under his breath. “I didn’t think you would.”
Upstairs, the shower turned on, water rattling through the pipes. I closed the space between Orion and me, coming close to touching him, but not all the way. He tilted his head back and gazed up at me, a dozen unspoken words in his eyes.
“Be careful,” I whispered.
He licked his lips, and I followed the movement.
Before I could think better of it, I dipped my face down, dusting a quick and chaste kiss across his lips. It surprised him as much as it did me, and Imade sure to swallow down his shocked little moan before stepping away from him.
He turned and snuck out of the house, footfalls surprisingly quiet against the floor. I didn’t even hear the door, but I wasn’t actively listening for it either. I was up the stairs and down the hallway, stripping out of my clothes and joining Vince and Caspian in Vince’s massive en suite. The shower was on, steam already billowing into the space, but Caspian was naked and on his knees in the middle of the room, palms up on the tops of his thighs.
“Where’s Orion?” he asked, after finding me alone.
“Being Orion,” I answered.
Vince frowned, but didn’t say another word about it. “Get on your knees.”
I fell into place at Caspian’s left, sinking down onto my heels and splaying my fingers open above my knees. It had been far too long since Vince had made this specific demand of me, and my cock sprang to life as soon as the cold tile pressed into the tops of my feet.
He stood in front of us, naked and powerful, his cock in hand. He stroked it, coming close enough for me to smell the salt and sweat of him, but not close enough to touch and nowhere near close enough to taste. It was a certain kind of torture, him taking steps to either side, stroking himself off for Caspian and me to see, but not for us to do anything about.
