Dorian continued to chuckle under his breath as he stepped over to her wardrobe and sorted through the dresses. "What look would we like to go with?" he asked. "'Sweet and innocent' or 'If I'm going to kill you, I'll look pretty doing it.'"
Nyssa considered the options. "The second, I think."
“You know… You've red marks all over you, sis," he uttered, apparently having seen the rest of her. "Is he eating you?"
Her brows raised. "Well…” The words trailed and she finally moved her head in his direction. "In a manner of speaking."
She could see the curiosity in her brother's gaze as he pushed the dresses around, eyes flickering in her direction. Nyssa finally gathered the strength to sit up and pull Nadir’s shirt on. She placed her hands over her face, legs crossing under her.
“Embarrassed myself this last time," she uttered.
Dorian frowned, bringing over the outfit he'd decided on. "What do you mean?"
“I…”
Admitting anything about her sex life was completely normal for the pair as they liked to trade stories over breakfast like trading cards. But this admission... Her cheeks reddened, and she raised her eyes to her brother's mocking gaze.
"I... Dorian, it was... It was alot.”
The laugh that howled from him did not help her embarrassment.
"Like... I've never been brought so quickly so many times and it just... It just... Itkept coming… And his face was there and he…” Her eyes widened at the memory, mouth sagging, and Dorian simply continued to laugh.
She smacked his stomach, but it didn't deter his mockery.
"Ow—What was the Commander's response to your soaking him?" he managed through his laughter.
"He..." She couldn't bring the words to fruition, but she remembered how it felt, remembered him cleaning her as though licking icing.
Dorian chuckled. "I'm sure he was singing with delight at bringing you to such an end," he uttered. "I've never seen you so disheveled," he mocked. "Did you sleep at all?"
“Not really,” she admitted. “I’ll have to sneak out of the meeting quickly to take a nap while he’s distracted—“
“Do you need me to create a diversion so you have time to collect yourself?”
She considered it. “Maybe… I hate to waste any time, but fuck, Dorian. I can hardly move my legs.”
Dorian laughed. “Should you need me to carry you to the meeting today?”
“Can we play it off as a game?”
He grinned. “Sure.”
CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
“HEY—“ DRAVEN TURNED, finding Nadir running up to him. His shirt was halfway on, the tie on his pants in shambles.
Draven felt his brow raise at the sight of his friend, and then he remembered Nyssa earlier at breakfast, and he chose not to say anything. He had known better than to think Aydra’s warning would mean anything to Nyssa, especially after the way he’d seen the two looking at each other on the beach and all during the banquet.
Not to mention all their friends practically orchestrating the entire endeavor so that they would have time to speak.
“You going to market?” Nadir asked.
“I wasn’t… why?” Draven replied.
“Walk with me,” Nadir told him, urging him toward the front of the castle. “And we’re not bringing the mountain,” he added, an almost pain stretching over his face, and Draven was reminded of the look on Nadir’s face the day before.
“What’s wrong with bringing Hagen?”
