“You’re an arrogant prick,” Corbin snapped.
Dorian balked. The only people who had dared ever speak to him like that were his family. His cock twitched at the rage on Corbin’s face.
“Keep going,” Dorian urged him.
Corbin scoffed, hands on his hips. “I’m not,” he said.
“Why?” Dorian asked. “You clearly have things to get off your chest. Say them.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because you’d enjoy it too much,” Corbin said.
Dorian’s lips puckered as he fought back a smart comment. “And?” he managed. “Your point?”
“Shouldn’t you be enjoying your twins?” Corbin sneered before turning away.
“Has anyone ever told you you look remarkably sexy when you’re angry?” Dorian blurted.
Corbin paused for a second, and then he was off again. “And that there is the reason why I have kept my distance from you,” he said in a voice Dorian barely heard.
Dorian jumped to keep up with him. “What’s that supposed to mean?” Dorian asked.
“Fuck off, Prince,” Corbin snapped.
“Why are you keeping your distance from me?” Dorian asked, eagerness in his tone.
Corbin stopped abruptly, nearly making Dorian run into him. “I’m not doing this with you here,” Corbin warned with a glance down the hall at the onlookers.
“Why not?” Dorian dared. “What are you scared of? Are you afraid of these people—that they’ll look down upon either of us? You for not being able to control the unruly Prince? Me for being an arrogant shit? Tell me, Corbin. Tell me why you suddenly insist on keeping your distance from me, why you avoided me all day yesterday and took on meaningless jobs that you shouldn’t have. What changed? Did you enjoy the look of me disheveled the other morning? So much that looking at me yesterday made you so hard that you couldn’t be around me? Are you—“
Corbin threw back, and his fist collided with Dorian’s face. Dorian stumbled backward, pain ricocheting through his jaw. He felt his lip break open. Hair falling over his eyes, he pressed his thumb to his mouth. When he looked down, red had stained the pad, and a slight smirk rose.
Corbin stood firm at his place, chest heaving.
“What was that for?” Dorian asked.
“Thought you would never shut up,” Corbin said.
“There are other ways to get me to shut up,” Dorian said.
“Something tells me shoving my cock down your throat wasn’t an option.”
Dorian’s heart pounded as triumph boiled through his veins. He practically felt his eyes dancing with fire.
“It’s not,” Dorian said, stepping closer. “But this is—“
Dorian grabbed Corbin by the shirt, threw him against the wall, and kissed him before the Belwark could protest.
Every hair on his neck stood on end when he pinned the Belwark flush. Corbin fought back by grasping Dorian’s waist so tight that Dorian could feel it in his bones. But despite the fight, Corbin opened up to him, and Dorian’s fist slammed into the wall by Corbin’s head.
He’d been waiting so long for this that he didn’t know what to do first.
Tongues sweeping, he devoured the Belwark and allowed himself to be consumed. Corbin grabbed the back of his head, tugging in his hair, making Dorian groan into him and forget himself a moment—forget where they were or what had just happened. Until Corbin’s teeth dragged on Dorian’s lip, and Dorian jerked back at the feeling of Corbin biting him.
“I wasn’t aware you were a biter, Second,” Dorian said, jerking Corbin into the door again.
