Dorian’s brows raised at her. “Here I thought the Commander had satisfied you,” he mocked.

She shoved him sideways, forcing him off balance. “Not like that,” she said with a shake of her head. “You never told me what came of your confronting him the other night.”

“Yes, because you were otherwise preoccupied,” he teased. “I’ve hardly spoken with you since the Commander fell into your bed. Honestly, I’m glad to see him go so I have my sister back.”

Nyssa nearly rolled her eyes, shaking her head. “Don’t dodge my question,” she said. “Tell me what happened.”

But Dorian only shrugged, rubbing the cut on his lip, and Nyssa eyed him sideways. “Ah…”

And then she realized exactly what had happened.

“Dorian!” Nyssa shoved him sideways again, and he fell off balance.

“Curiosity slayed the dragon, sister,” he said with a wink after he recovered.

Mouth still agape, Nyssa shook her head. “Okay, you’re spilling all of these details over breakfast.”

“Deal.”
