H e slipped on his sunglasses as he stepped out of Jackson-Evers International Airport. Yes, it had been risky going to Austin, but it was mandated. His fist tightened around the strap of his bag. That fool Anderson had nearly ruined everything.
‘The fool let his revenge cloud his focus. I should have known better than to recruit him for this.’ he thought, unlocking his truck, and climbing in.
“Now it’s my turn to finish this. This time, I will trust no one.” He said to himself as he drove.
He would use the three- and half-hour drive to revisit his plan.
With Anderson out of the way, he would have to do some reworking, but that would change nothing.
His target was still unaware of him and if his intel was correct, should make the target easy enough to eliminate, when the time came.
However, unlike Anderson, he was more patient.
He also was looking forward to playing more with his target.
Back in the Corps, he had discovered a desire for psychological games.
Yes, he would definitely be having some fun with his prey before the kill.
He would savor it. This thought caused the man to smile, pulling onto the highway.
In a few days, the real fun for him would begin and the nightmare for his target would commence.
