Page 42 of The Biker and the Baker
From a nearby shelf, I snatch up the non-stick spray and get to work. This is her domain. She’s the boss of this kitchen. In here, people move to her command, dance to her beat. And right now I'm no exception. So I take her orders like a good little boy, giving her a win.
"Just so you know," she says, licking a drop of blueberry compost from her index finger, "I'm not having your babies."
Oh, Sweet P, you’ve no idea…"We'll see about that."
Chapter 10
Pia
He did it.
The sonuvabitch managed to get me on the back of his bike, zinging off to Castle Pines.
Maybe it's because he opened up to me. Or maybe it's because he put his mouth on me and I wantmore. Whatever the reason, the truth is I didn't fight too hard when he demanded I go home with him once we were through at the shop.
I protested with puny reasons as to why I couldn't, that I didn’t want to leave my car behind. But that was shot down when two bikers showed up out of nowhere, took my car keys and assured me they would "take care of it."
Me, half-heartedly, "But I'm sweaty. I need a shower."
Him, determinedly, "Got a shower on the RV. With scorching hot water, too."
Me, "I'll need clean clothes."
Him, with a sly wink, "No, you really won't."
Me, "But I—"
Him, "Back of my bike, Sweet P.Geton."
Now here I am, arms locked around his middle, hair whipping in the wind. It feels good.Hefeels good. I don't like that I like him, but I do. And with his relentless pursuit, I wouldn’t have been able to pretend to resist him much longer. My will is only so strong.
Who knows, maybe he’s not as bad as I made him out to be. Not that it matters all that much, as I don't intend on messing around with him for long. Two weeks tops. Provided his interest even lasts that long.
It’s chilly out tonight, but even more so on a motorcycle going sixty miles an hour. By the time we get to Castle Pines, my hair is a bird's nest.
Onyx laughs when we dismount the Harley and helps me finger-comb the tangles from my hair.
"You’re supposed to tuckallyour hair under the helmet," he tells me, still laughing.
I glare at him. "Thanks for the tip, afterthe fact."
He hooks one arm around my neck and pulls me into his side. We trek across the fishpond bridge and through the garden, until his RV comes into view, with its blue under-glow lights brightening the area and the ground garden lights outlining the perimeters.
"Do you leave those on all the time?" I ask.
"They’re automatic. On at dusk, off at dawn."
"Oh. Well, it’s really pretty. Kinda like the airport runway."
He snorts.
Once at the RV, he opens the door and ushers me in, smacking my ass as I climb the steps.
"Point me to the shower, please," I say as soon as the door is closed behind us.
"What's the rush? Come eat with me first."
I make a face at him. “Your breath smells like the last thing you ate—my pussy—and I'm still sticky from coming on your face. I haven't had a shower since five this morning."
