“I don’t like her, little bird,” Ronan said.
I took a second to look at all four of them, and they all were just as dead serious. All of them were so close I couldn’t take a single breath that didn’t carry the scent of them.
“Anyone helping me out?” Reina’s voice reached me, but I couldn’t see her beyond my little tower of love. I was calling this love.
“What are you worried about? She is just kidding. I promise, I won’t let her touch you anymore than you would let Carrow touch me. I can’t explain it any more than you can, but when Talon got hurt? The idea of any one of you not being here hurts so much I don’t think I could breathe through the pain.”
Their stiff stances seemed to relax a bit and they moved aside, letting me out of the circle of crazy. Reina was still not getting through, but I could at least see her as she moved around us.
“Guys, it was a joke. I got it. She owns you four. How that works, well, I’m just jealous. Let’s go get whoever hitched. I’m here for it.”
“I can walk, Talon. Don’t open the wound again,” I said as Talon lifted me out of the car.
“I’m going to show just how healed I am in a minute, Margaux.”
They walked into the house and the door closed with a quiet click. Talon put me down but didn’t let me go.
“No one needs to know about the marriage certificate, got it, Margaux?” Knox asked me.
I nodded.
“Exactly who am I telling? You just sent my only friend home, and I don’t have Carrow’s number to send him a picture or anything.”
Maybe I should have chosen my words better, because Knox took a single step forward and grabbed my chin. He bent down, his face moving to mine.
“Mention him one more time in front of us and I swear, Margaux,” Knox said.
I pressed my lips together and decided just to poke the damn bear.
“Oh really? You’ll what, Knox? Carrow. Carrow. Carrow.”
The air rushed out of my lungs as Talon grabbed me up and manhandled me.
“Knox, you coming? No empty threats, doll face,” Talon said.
Everything was happening so fast. Talon stormed up the stairs, and the next thing I knew, I was tossed on his bed.
“I’ve been looking for an excuse to get you in my bed all day, princess.”
I tried to get up, but he put a knee between my legs and covered me with his body.
“You don’t have to have an excuse, Talon.”
I wanted him to touch me, my body hungered with a craving the other three couldn’t fully fulfill. My whole world was fucked up and empty until them.
His lips were everywhere. My lips, my neck, anywhere there was skin to kiss.
I let myself wander over his body, pulling his shirt up and feeling every ridge and plane of his muscles. I felt the way his stomach backed away when my fingers found the fresh scar. I pulled away, turning my head from him. HIs lips kept on their quest and kissed my neck.
“Talon. Are you still hurt?”
He mumbled against my neck.
“I’m hurt that everyone else has felt your pussy come on their cocks and you’re still pulling away from me.”
His hand slipped up my shirt and squeezed my breast; his fingers moved over the thin fabric of the bra, driving me insane.
“Talon, please. Take what is yours.”
