Page 60 of Swept Away
“You’re such a bad boy, Gizmo,” I chide him before pressing my cheek into his fur.
He purrs in response, melting my heart.
Mason watches me with smiling eyes.
“Did you get any sleep?” he asks quietly.
“Not much. You?”
A hint of lust mixed with tenderness glints in his eyes.
“I couldn’t sleep,” he pushes out softly.
His gaze dips to my chest, a flicker of desire moving through his eyes.
I’m sure he’d touch me if we weren’t out on the street.
“I had too many things to think about.”
His mysterious words make me aware of how much things have changed since I met him.
He lifts his gaze.
“Have you finished your work?”
“Almost.”
I only slept for a couple of hours after he dropped me off and then worked the entire morning, hoping to finish my project and catch up on my sleep in the afternoon.
“Good. Get ready for tonight,” he says. “How does your schedule look tomorrow?”
He brings his hand to my face and runs his thumb along my jawline.
“I’m flexible.”
I feel the effect of his charming smile deep in my core.
“I like that. Flexible is good. It’s going to be a long night, and you might need to use some of that flexibility on us,” he says.
A few seconds pass before his gaze meets my questioning eyes.
Without a word, he lowers his mouth and kisses me tenderly in the middle of the street, making the sun feel like nothing next to the fire thrumming across my skin.
He breaks away from me.
“Say hi to Carter for me,” I say as he pivots away.
“I will. I’m sure he’s thought about you the entire morning,” he says, amused.
His hand closes into a fist, and he doesn’t have to do the gliding motion to know what he is hinting at.
“I was the same,” he tosses at me casually before opening the car door and sliding in.
The thought that these two men have spent their morning jerking off at the memory of what we did last night turns me on.
What a night.
“Go inside and finish your work,” he says, slowly backing away, and I nod in agreement, yet I can’t tear my eyes away from him.
