Fraser

Shortly after I finished shadowing the DM, I headed for the entrance to see how things were going.

Although many of the owners enjoyed relaxing when they were on the floor, I felt as if I needed to be useful, proving myself.

And getting my feet under me. It was a new routine and one I could already see myself enjoying.

Julie, who was taking care of the front desk this evening, and Reggie, who was at the front door were having an argument with someone, and although they were being very polite, whoever they were trying to deal with was riding that line.

With other members and guests coming in, we did not need this sort of interaction right where everyone had to pass them.

I stepped into the foyer. “Is there a problem here?”

All three turned to look at me, the tension broken by another voice. At least I did that right. “Now, how can I help?”

Reggie shook his head. “Sir, this guest does not want to leave his phone at the front desk while he visits the club.”

“I explained to him, Sir,” Julie said, frustration in her voice. “But he’s insisting.”

“I see.” The man from before who had tried to enter and been turned away. “He had a guest pass?”

“Yes,” Julie said. “This time.” She took her job seriously and nobody got past her when she was on duty. An omega, and very attractive, but obstinate, grumpy even. “Well, I can try to explain as well to…what is your name, omega?”

“Everly.”

“That’s a nice name.” I stepped between him and Reggie. “I’m one of the owners here, and I’d be very happy to give you a tour. This is your first time?”

“Yes.”

“All right. We do require all members and guests leave their phone to be locked up while they visit, so please hand it over to Julie. She’ll give you the bracelet that shows you are an invited guest and has the information to get your device back. And then we can begin your tour.”

His lips parted, as if to continue to argue, but then he pulled his phone from his pocket and set it on the counter in front of Julie. She took his wrist and fastened the bracelet on then nodded and turned away.

“Let’s go inside,” I said. “Is there anything you’d particularly like to see?”

He mumbled something under his breath. It didn’t sound very positive.

“Excuse me?”

“No, just whatever. Everything.”

“All right, then.” For someone who had seemed so eager to get in here, who had done the paperwork required for a guest pass, possibly even a step to membership, he sure didn’t seem happy about his first visit.

Was leaving his phone in a secure lockup that upsetting to him?

I knew some people were obsessed with their devices, but this seemed on the extreme side.

“Let’s start with the main floor, then. We like to accommodate the desires of all our members, but as you can imagine, there’s always someone with something we haven’t seen yet.

” I waited, in case he might feel comfortable sharing his own kink, lifestyle, preferences, but he just shrugged.

So, I went on. “Impact play is one of the most popular around here, so we have several stations dedicated to it. The spider web, the St. Andrew’s cross, three spanking benches at the moment…

” All of them were currently occupied, and with no guidance from our guest, who smelled distractingly good despite the clash of perfumes and pheromones that generally filled the air here, I didn’t know how to proceed.

We paused at the St. Andrew’s cross where one of the member alphas was demonstrating his technique.

Jerome, I thought his name was, although he was not a particular friend of mine.

The owners often did demos on request, but this alpha was one of those who did them unasked.

If they weren’t skilled enough, a DM would gently guide them out of teaching mode.

Jerome, despite his snobby attitude, knew how to wield his tools, so I thought it would be a good opportunity for a guest to see how things worked.

As we’d entered the room, his tension was palpable.

Either he had never experienced the lifestyle, or his exposure had been limited.

After Jerome went from explaining to demonstrating, the omega took a big step back. “I-I would rather see something else.”

“Sure. How do you feel about electrical stimulation?”

“You electrocute people?” he squeaked. “Isn’t that dangerous?”

“Not at all, if you know what you’re doing. I see someone working with the violet wand over there. Come with me, and I’ll tell you about it while we watch.”

He did come, and we stood several feet away so we could see but not disturb the participants while I talked through what was happening. Everly didn’t say anything, but he watched, eyes wide, nervously licking his lips.

We visited a few more stations, but I didn’t bother taking him to the other areas off the main floor.

If he was into daddy/little, he sure didn’t give off the vibe, and pet play?

No…I wasn’t reading that or pretty much anything else off him.

In fact, he didn’t react positively to anything we saw, and finally, I led him back to the front area and got his phone for him.

“That’s most of the club. Often there’s a live band, but not tonight, just the DJ up there in the booth.”

“Okay, thanks,” he said. “Appreciate the tour.” If he was so negative, why had he wanted to come here so badly? Maybe he’d built up what he thought it was about in his mind, and we didn’t live up to the fantasy? Reality could do that.

“Listen, why don’t we get together in a less formal situation, and you can ask me questions if you like? Maybe go out for a drink?”

He perked up at that. “Sure. I do have questions.” The side-eye he cast toward the room we’d just left made me wonder what they were.
