“You don’t get upset if myself or Smoky are a bit overprotective. We’ll do our best not to smother him, but you can’t get upset if we are a bit… watchful.”

Jude thought a moment, saying, “If it’s too much, I reserve the right to let you know I don’t like it and you’re crossing a line. It’s fine to want to keep him safe, but if you are overwhelming with your need to protect, it can cause some serious self-esteem issues, bring on anxiety issues and more.”

Casper’s eyes widened. “I don’t want that to happen.”

“Neither do I,” Smoky gasped.

“And I doubt it will, but if I think it’s too much, I will say something,” Jude said.

Casper and Smoky looked at each other for what seemed like forever, before Casper nodded, “Okay.”

“Okay?” Jude said, not wanting to hope, but feeling like his dream just might come true.

Casper stood up and drew Jude into his arms. “Okay. Let’s make a baby.”

CHAPTER 10

“We’re going to go and do some fly arounds. If there’s anyone watching this place, we’ll know it,” Tandis said.

“Okay, I’ll…”

“Wyatt, you have much more important things to be taking care of,” Ryan said, nodding towards Rain. “We got this. Go. Talk to your mate…” smirking, he said, “…or whatever you might do.”

Wyatt hesitated, “We have a job to…”

Asod’s stern tone had Wyatt raising a brow. “The only job you have is taking care of your mate. As Ryan said, we got this.”

Without another word, Asod turned and walked out the door, immediately shifting and taking to the air. Within seconds Wyatt was left standing there watching his team flying high into the air.

“That is amazing,” Rain whispered in awe.

Wyatt’s dragon didn’t like that his mate seemed to be in awe over other dragons, but he was also filled with pride of his men and fellow thunder mates and how amazing they were.

Rain’s cheeks pinked, as he said, “I know you were in dragon form when you rescued me, but I was a bit distracted and didn’t get a good look at him. Maybe soon, you can show him to me… maybe our animals can meet or something?”

Wyatt smiled saying, “I would love that. I honestly would love to see your animal.”

Rain leered as his right side of his lip came up, making him look like a man with a plan, as he said, “Oh, trust me, you’re about to see my animal.”

Rain took Wyatt’s hand and led him up the stairs and down the hall, passing Jude’s room, just as the man of the hour shouted, “Oh fuck yes, Rance! Fuck yes! Right there!”

Wyatt felt Rain pick up speed and rush them into his own room, clearing his throat, before saying, “I guess they worked their shit out.”

“Sounds that way,” Wyatt said with a small laugh.

Both men stood there looking uncomfortable, before Rain said, “You’re my mate.”

Wyatt gave a small nod, saying, “And you are mine.”

Sighing, Rain said, “I guess it isn’t what you thought it would be.”

“What do you mean?” Wyatt asked in confusion.

Shrugging, Rain answered, “My life is a mess, Wyatt. You and your thunder are so put together and I have a crazed lunatic trying to kill me. I know this isn’t what you thought it would be like when you found your mate.”

Wyatt walked to Rain and pulled him into his arms, looking down at him, saying, “Rain, I’ve never even thought about having a mate.”

Rain looked confused, and Wyatt let out a deep breath. “Yes, I was taught about mates, I just never thought I would have one. My men and I are hundreds of years old and none of us have found our mates. I just figured if by now it hadn’t happened then it wasn’t going to. Then it was like, wow, there he is. My mate and I was more then happy. You’re sweet, caring and so sexy it makes my body tingle every time I look your way. Yes, we havesome business to handle, but it doesn’t stop me from being not just happy to of found you, but blessed.”
