TWENTY-FOUR

WESLEY

“ I wish you didn’t have to go,” I said, breathing in Teddy’s scent in an attempt to commit it to memory.

“Me too,” he replied and leaned into me.

“I know I’m just being selfish…”

This felt like a dream, and I didn’t want it to end. Being with him, being consumed by him, wrapped up in him, made me feel more alive than I ever had, and that was quite something considering how many frogs I’d kissed in my search for the one true prince.

“You’re not being selfish if I want to stay too,” he murmured, and I tightened my hold on him.

We breathed in unison as we lay in bed, me naked, him half dressed, surrounded by sex and sweat-soaked sheets, reveling in our work of art.

“For someone who’s not very experienced in sex, gay sex especially, you sure do know how to please a man.”

Teddy looked sideways at me and smiled.

“I do?”

I rolled my eyes.

“Were my moans not enough evidence? I’m sure I woke up the entire street.”

He brought his hand up to cup my face and bent to the side so he could drive his lips to mine with renewed passion that made my little Wesley want to come back to life, but he was way too spent. As was my ass.

“I’m gonna be so sore today,” I told him.

His smile wavered slightly, and he looked into my eyes.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

Gosh. How could he switch it up from hunk to teddy bear in a matter of seconds? And why did my heart thump in my chest a little louder?

“You don’t need to apologize. A little pain the morning after is proof of a good night in the sack.”

Teddy laughed.

“Maybe you just have a pain kink,” he said.

I gasped.

“I do not. Don’t worry. You’re a baby gay. You’ll learn soon enough.”

Teddy laughed and, with a determined breath, sat up and escaped my embrace.

“I got to go,” he repeated, but more to himself than to me, and he got up, bent over to give me a big kiss, and put his shirt on.

I followed him down the stairs using the throw from my bed to cover my privates. I wanted to take him to the door, and I didn’t need the rest of the neighborhood seeing my cock.

“I’ll see you soon, yeah?” he asked.

“If you want.”

Teddy cupped my cheek and raised an eyebrow.

“What do you think?” he asked.

“That you definitely want?” Why did my voice go higher?

Agh. Embarrassing.

“That’s right,” he answered and kissed me again, but when he dropped his hand, he put it under the throw and gave my balls and cock a good squeeze that made my taint throb with need. Before I could be sated, though, he winked and left me behind all hot and bothered.

I watched him get in his car and bit my lip, thinking of him buried deep inside me all night last night. How the hell had I gotten so lucky? This must be a dream. It’s got to.

He waved at me as he reversed out of my driveway, and I waved back before I closed the door and looked at my empty house.

“Right, Wesley. You need a shower,” I said and looked down at the little peak in the throw caused by my now fully erect cock.

“And maybe a little self-loving,” I added.

Which was exactly what I did. I had to, or I wouldn’t be able to get anything done today.

And the plan worked. For a while.

But even as I was watering and caring for my plants after breakfast, my mind drifted to last night, and I went back to feeling hard and desperate for more.

“Fuck! What have we started?” I asked my collection of succulents, but none of them replied.

Reading was just as futile. Especially romance. All the spicy scenes just made me horny, and even when I turned to my non-fiction Tbr, it did nothing to help the situation.

My only escape was grading, but I couldn’t concentrate on it one bit. No, instead, I kept dropping my pen, sneaking my hand under the table, and just touching myself. And what do you know, I was back to square one, beating my meat to Teddy’s rhythm.

“For fuck’s sake,” I said after my cum had painted my hardwood floor white one too many times.

I reached for my phone and called Ruby.

“Hey,” she answered on the second ring.

“What are you doing today? I need to get out of the house,” I told her.

“Nothing. I can be ready in ten,” she said, and we hung up.

I cleaned the floor and myself, then put my shoes on and left the house like I was on fire. Because I was.

Ruby was outside our family home when I rolled up, and she jumped in before I had even stopped.

“Where to?” I asked.

“You tell me. You’re the one who needed to get away. What is that all about anyway?”

I shrugged. “I just need out.”

I set off feeling her intense stare on me.

“What happened?” she asked.

“Nothing.”

“I don’t believe you. Why did you want to get out of your house? You love your house.”

“I didn’t say I didn’t.”

A car swerved out of the side of the road, and I hit the brakes. The sudden move jolted my sore ass, and I hissed.

“What?” Ruby asked as I continued driving with no set destination yet.

I shook my head.

“Okay, Wesley, what the hell is going on? Why are you being so weird? What did Teddy do to you?”

I flinched at his name. She noticed.

“So this is about hot Teddy, huh? What happened? What did I miss?”

“Nothing you were supposed to be a part of,” I snapped.

Ruby took a moment and gasped.

“You fucked didn’t you? O-M-G, he fucked you, didn’t he? That’s why you’re flinching every time you stop the car.”

“No, I’m not,” I said.

Was it that obvious?

“Yeah. Right. Tell that to your face. Is he that big?”

I sighed and turned to her for a second.

“O-M-G,” she exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hands. “Tell me everything !”

“Fine,” I said. “But no running commentary, please.”

“You know you love my commentary.”

I submitted with a sigh and told her about last night and the day before. In far more detail than I’d ever shared with her before, but I was bursting at the seams to tell someone, so I didn’t care.

“Holy fuck! I spoke it into existence,” she said.

“You what?”

“I did. Who kept telling you to go for it and get your hot daddy? Me?”

“Are you seriously trying to take credit for what happened?”

“Well, I like to think I played a part in my brother getting a good dicking.”

“I regret telling you anything.” I sighed.

“So how big are we talking? Just tell me when to stop.” She put her two index fingers in front of one another and kept widening the gap until it was half as long as the car.

“Seriously? Bigger?”

“He literally rearranged my guts,” I said.

“Holy moly.” She dropped her hands, but seconds later, she held one up and made a circle that kept getting bigger and bigger.

“How thick?” Her fingers created a semicircle, and I gave her an affirmative nod to put her out of her misery.

“That’s it. You hit the jackpot,” she said.

“My ass begs to differ.” I laughed.

“Tell your ass to shut up and get used to it. You finally found a man who’s not only gorgeous, but treats you nice, and he’s got the world’s biggest dick. If your ass has a problem, tell it to take a hike.”

I shrugged.

“It might if he keeps fucking me.”

Ruby laughed.

“Sounds like someone needs to do some kegels or something. I’m sure there’s a way to stretch. I’ll Google it.”

I put my hand between her and her phone and begged her not to, but that definitely didn’t stop her.

“The internet is unanimous. It says you need tons of lube and big sex toys.”

I rolled my eyes as if I didn’t have those already, but I’d already shared too much. Instead, I focused on getting us somewhere public so we could stop talking about my asshole and Teddy’s dick.

We found our way to the port and ditched the car to walk on the wide pedestrianized street that was full of shops, stands, and food trucks.

“Isn’t that Mr. Big?” Ruby pointed at a blond man inside a food truck, and I shushed her.

But she was right. That was Teddy in a soft aquamarine sweater that looked a little too small, working next to a gorgeous and petite Black man and laughing together. Something twisted in my guts at the mere sight. Was that Zach, his new boss?

He was fucking gorgeous. Why didn’t he mention how handsome he was? As if I stood a chance next to this hot piece of ass.

“Are you okay?”

I tried to nod, but I was frozen in place.

“Earth to Wes?” She waved a hand in front of my face.

“I’m fine. I’m fine,” I repeated over and over.

“You don’t sound fine.”

“I just…didn’t know Zach was hot.”

“Ah,” Ruby hummed. “Now I get it. You’re jealous. Do you think he’s slipping his anaconda inside him too?”

I turned to my sister and stared daggers at her.

“You’re not helping.”

She put her hands up and apologized.

“Come on. Let’s scope them out.” Before I could agree to anything, she marched right to the Wandering Bundt and joined the line.

Teddy spotted me as soon as I stood next to her, and he waved at me with a huge smile on his face.

“Look at that. He looks so happy to see you. Would he be this happy if he were playing the field?”

He did look happy, didn’t he? And he did tell me his neighbor had given him a job.

“You must be Teddy!” Ruby gave Teddy her hand as soon as it was our turn to order, and Teddy shook it. “I’m Ruby. Wesley’s youngest sister.”

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

“Oh, it’s a huge pleasure for me too.” She smirked.

I elbowed her.

“I think I’ve seen you at Bubble Bubble before, right?”

“That’s right. I own the gift shop a few doors down. That’s so big of you to remember me.”

“Ruby!” I whispered.

“What?” Ruby asked. “I’m just having a juicy conversation with your Teddy. Erm, your friend Teddy.”

I groaned and gave in to my fate.

“What can I get for you?” Teddy asked. If he’d caught on to Ruby’s terrible wordplay, he didn’t let on. His smile never wavered.

“Two pumpkin spiced lattes and what’s good to eat?”

I elbowed her again, even though I was pretty sure that wasn’t intended as a double entendre.

“Everything really. If you’re going for pumpkin spice lattes, you want to try the apple custard muffins. They’re divine,” he said, and I caught Zach beaming, staring at Teddy, making me want to punch his perfect little face.

“Sold,” Ruby said, and Teddy turned to Zach.

I saw little Bear sitting on the counter behind them, but I was so focused on his uncle and his new boss, I couldn’t find the words to address him or to even say hi.

“You’re a natural,” Zach told Teddy and patted his arm.

A growl almost escaped me. I had no idea how I managed to tame it before it unleashed from within me.

Teddy took over making the drinks, and Zach gave us our muffins with the exact same charming smile, and it became hard to breathe.

“I should have hired him ages ago. He can sell anything,” he told us, jokingly, but all I saw was red.

Ruby chuckled and pulled me to the side so Zach could serve the next customer, whispering, “Easy, boy.”

“Good morning, Dare!” Zach sang with extra oomph and pizzazz.

“Good morning, Zachary,” Dare said.

Zach batted his eyelashes and chuckled.

“I’ve told you to call me Zach so many times,” he said. “How are the goats?”

Dare took a deep breath and leaned against the shelf of the food truck.

“They’re good,” he said. “Being their chaotic goat selves.”

Zach giggled uncontrollably. It wasn’t that funny. Unless…

Unless Zach was interested in Dare.

I looked away from Zach and studied Dare closely. He was all muscles and hair, and his cap only made him look bigger, somehow.

He was the definition of a bear, the kind of size I wished I was but as I had been told one too many times I was just fat. Not a bear. Dare on the other hand…he was a snack. A filling snack I imagined. And the way he looked at Zach, all smolder, it was as if he wanted to eat him up.

“What will it be today?” Zach asked.

“The usual. And a slice of pie,” Dare said, not looking away from the young man.

“No more pie,” Zach said.

“What? Why?” Dare smiled.

“Because nothing I make can beat your delicious blueberry pies.”

“They’re not that great,” Dare chuckled.

“Oh yes, they are,” Zach continued.

Ruby elbowed me and leaned in to whisper in my ear.

“I think you have nothing to worry about.”

I nodded in agreement.

Those two literally only had eyes for each other.

“Do you think they know they’re flirting?” Ruby asked.

“They’ve got to, right? It’s so obvious.”

Ruby shrugged, and Teddy leaned over the gap of the truck to give us our coffees.

“Thank you,” I said, and our fingers brushed, causing sparks to travel all the way down my spine.

“You’re most welcome,” he answered, staring at me.

“Nice top,” Ruby said, and I glared daggers at her.

Teddy, on the other hand, was oblivious to the pun. He just grabbed his sleeveless sweater and glanced at it.

“Thanks. I found it in my house. There are so many good ones,” he said.

“It really suits you,” I said, studying his face, the way the baby blue wool hugged his body, the big muscles poking out of the sleeves as if they were desperate to escape. It was so androgynous. The soft, almost girlie sweater worn by a literal giant.

And it made him look even sexier. And sweeter.

“Thanks,” he beamed at me, and those icy blue eyes became utterly hypnotizing.

Gosh. Ruby was right. I had nothing to worry about. He was looking at me the same way the lovebirds next to us were. There was no chance he was interested in anyone else. Which only made me wonder for the hundredth time, why me?

“I think I know who Zach likes,” Teddy whispered to Ruby and me.

“Darling, I think the whole town knows,” she said. “And you keep looking at my brother like that, the whole town will know about you too.”

“Ruby!” I shouted, but Teddy laughed.

“What can I say? Your brother has stolen my mind,” he said.

“Among other things, sure,” Ruby said, and I had to drag her away from there before she made a complete fool of me.

“Say hi to Bear for me,” I told him, putting as much distance between him and Ruby as possible.

“I hear wedding bells,” Ruby said once we were in the clear.

“You should get your ears checked.”

“That man is smitten.”

“He’s not,” I said, but I knew that was a lie.

He was smitten with me, wasn’t he? I was too. I might not understand why or how, but I liked it. And I was going to enjoy it while it lasted.
