Wilston

“That was so weird,” I said, tugging Silver further against my chest. Xarius and Niam were back behind the wheel and we used their bed for another round of sleep.

“So weird,” he agreed. “But Xari can literally see if someone is lying, so having him trust their word meant everything.”

“I hadn’t even thought about that,” I admitted. “Now I feel less worried that they were playing us.”

“They did teach us something useful, and the fact we should keep our special abilities secret was a good warning, too, especially when we have to face the leaders.” I hummed in agreement, tracing my fingers around his waist. My hand had sneaked its way inside his t-shirt, longing to feel my bonded’s naked skin.

“Xari told me we’re only ten hours away from Altair now,” he said excitedly. I shared his excitement. Would he fit right in with the rest of us, too? Or would it take some time for him to warm up to us?

I couldn’t wait to meet him. I felt so accepted with these men, and with Julie, too.

I hadn’t thought about keeping quiet once since Silver and I had bonded, knowing they wouldn’t be mad if I were to say something stupid.

And the best thing was that it hadn’t even happened once.

I’d never experienced them getting mad or hurt by my words. It was freeing.

I knew we had to sleep, but it was hard lying with Silver in my arms and not touch him, to not let my fingers bring him pleasure. He was always unbelievably beautiful when filled with pleasure.

My fingers somehow found their way inside of his pants, caressing his hardening dick.

“Wilston,” he groaned, opening his legs for me. “You better finish what you’ve started.”

I chuckled and kissed down his neck, still stroking his now fully hard dick. “Like I would be able to leave you unsatisfied,” I huffed. He knew I was growing more and more addicted to him.

“Good.” Then he tugged his pants and panties down, exposing himself. It was my turn to groan. Scooting down the bed, I couldn’t stop myself. I needed to taste him again. I took him in my mouth, not caring that we were in Xarius and Niam’s bed and that we should be sleeping.

“God, babe,” he moaned, threading his fingers through my hair. “Just like that, yes.” I swirled my tongue, loving that I finally had him in my mouth again. I wanted to master this form of pleasure; I wanted to be the best he’d ever had.

He came all too soon, and as much disappointment I felt over having to stop tasting him, the look of absolute love and satisfaction on his face erased all that. Instead, I just felt like the luckiest man alive.

Silver pulled me up, meeting my lips with his own in a desperate and needy kiss. I knew he wanted to return the favor, and even if I was dying to get his mouth on me, too, I knew we were getting close to Altair and Silver really needed his beauty sleep.

“Get some sleep, my darling,” I whispered. He pouted but snuggled into me. I chuckled and kissed his hair, loving how perfect he fit in my arms.

And then we slept.

“He’s here?” I asked, looking outside and seeing nothing but warehouses.

“According to the locket, yes,” Niam replied, sounding unsure.

It was dark outside and all we could see were abandoned warehouses. No cars or any security. Why would he be here?

“Let’s go out and look,” Xarius said, jumping out of the RV, calling Leon and Snowflake. I followed and called King and Shamus, too.

“Maybe we should leave Leon and King outside the RV to protect Julie, just in case,” I suggested.

“Great idea,” Niam said, giving Leon his new orders.

Niam walked ahead and the rest of us, except for Julie, followed. The locket glowed brightly in his hand, guiding us down the side of a warehouse to what looked like dumpsters.

We stopped outside one of the dumpsters and shrugged. The locket seemed to think Altair was inside the dumpster, so we had to try.

“Altair?” Xarius asked softly, not wanting to startle the guy. Since Xarius could feel emotions, it was best that he was the one to talk to Altair first.

The dumpster opened, revealing a mop of dirty blond hair and then brown eyes. Altair smiled shyly at us and waved. “Hi?”

“Hi,” Xarius grinned. “We’re shunned mages, too.”

His eyes widened. “You are?”

We nodded. “We’re sorry it took us so long to find you, but we’re here now so you’ll be safe,” Xarius said.

“Really? I can come with you?” he seemed truly thankful and from the look of his “home” I completely understood him.

“Of course. We have an RV we all live in. But we need to move on from here and get somewhere safe. Do you have anything you want to take with you?”

Altair nodded and quickly grabbed his backpack, then hoisted himself up from the dumpster. He waved awkwardly at us and we grinned at him in return. We only needed Tino now.

We walked back to the RV silently creating his ward without him noticing it. We needed him safe and untraceable as soon as possible. If the leaders had any tracking on him, they’d know we had him now. We really needed to move.

Altair looked somewhat healthy. His hair was dirty and so were his clothes, but he’d likely not showered since before he’d been shunned.

He was on the shorter side and seemed really sweet and innocent.

I couldn’t wait to befriend him and see his true personality.

I just hoped his upbringing hadn’t been as horrible as the rest of us.

Even Xarius had a tough time being without magic, even with his loving mothers.

His eyes got so big and full of awe when he saw the RV. “I get to go with you, in that?” he asked, sounding both happy and confused.

Xarius stepped up beside him and gave him a pat on his shoulder. “Of course! You’re one of us, Altair.”

I could tell that affected Altair, but he tried to hide his emotions. Damn, he’d had a rough life, too, it seemed. Lucky for him he now had us.
