Page 45 of Shifting Fate
We slipped out of the club and into the crisp November air. I could feel his cum leaking out of me, soaking into my underwear. I tightened my muscles in an attempt to keep it inside, because fuck, I loved smelling like him. Like his.
We bolted to the car. The doors clapped shut behind us and Arias groaned, his face still flushed. “I can’t believe we just did that. Holy fuck.”
I clambered gracelessly onto his lap, straddling him in the passenger seat. “Wanna do it again?” I purred, pressing my chest to his, our lips inches apart. “Withknot this time?”
His body shuddered beneath me, telling me that yes, yes hedidwant to do it again. I rubbed my hand up and down his chest, standing up on my knees so I had the upper hand. I kissed him hard, thrusting my tongue into his mouth. He grabbed me by the hips and yanked me down on top of him.
Then he gasped. “Dallon—” at the same time someone outside screamed.
My head snapped up as a beastly roar shook the air, wilting my boner in its tracks. My blood ran cold. Dreadhunters? Here?
“Shit! We gotta get out of here, pronto.” I scrambled off Arias’s lap and tumbled over the center console, elbowing the horn in the process.
HOOOOOOOOOOONK!
“Shit, shit, shit!” I screeched, fumbling for the keys, but they weren’t in the ignition. Where were the fucking keys? I slapped my hands over my pockets, but it was too late. My car shook violently as the Dreadwolf smashed into it with another bone-rattling roar.
“Dallon, we have to go,” Arias barked, grabbing my arm.
“But the Dreadwolf!” I keened.
“C’mon!” He flung the passenger door open and stumbled out onto the pavement. He knelt there for only a moment before magic sizzled in the air, and he made the change from man to wolf in mere seconds. With a ferocious snarl, he lunged at the Dreadwolf.
“I’m too beautiful to die,” I whispered, gulping, right as I dove out the door after him.
