Chapter 10

Cock Shaped Ice

Silvana

E ver since I’d left Allie at the Court of Shadows manor, I’d felt as if someone was watching me. I’d felt it the night I’d killed the garbage second-in-command too, but I’d shaken it off then. It was a dark alley outside of a tavern—there was always someone outside. So extra eyes weren’t unheard of.

Shaking off the uneasy feeling plaguing me, I kept moving. I had a to-do list tonight, and so far, all I’d done was kill off two weak-minded vampires who’d been trying to abduct a young human girl. I’d expected her to run screaming, honestly, but by the time I’d dropped her off, she’d been acting as if we’d been friends our entire lives.

After she’d left, I’d set off to fulfill one more to-do item back at The Midnight Run and then headed to The Arcane Theater to find the redhead that bolted before. I’d smiled to myself as I thought about the look on Ed’s face when I’d shown back up.

Aside from the missing redhead, my secondary goal tonight was to find a male who went by Joel. He was Rogan’s right-hand man and hadn’t been seen out since I’d killed Rogan. But the man had to eat eventually, so I’d kept looking.

Cedar’s letter had arrived this morning saying that there were more missing females in the Court of Ravens too, but so far it had flown under the radar. No one was diving too deeply into the cause of it that he could tell.

It was typical, honestly. Females went missing, and no one would be bothered to care about it until it was their own kin.

Walking through the doors of The Arcane Theater, I looked around the dimly lit room for my target. A smile curled my lips as I laid eyes on the exact male I’d been looking for. He was sitting at a table near the dance floor with a blonde female in his lap. The man himself was tall and broad, with light brown hair and tan skin.

I wondered if blondes were his type, or if he’d be interested in my silver. It would make this much easier for me if he was. Only one true way to find out, though. I had a plan, but I wasn’t sure if it would work or not. From what I’d learned, most of the females they took were abducted. They didn’t go voluntarily, so I was hopeful they’d take an… easier target.

Walking across the dance floor, I sat down across from him and leaned my arms on the table, setting my breasts atop them. Thankfully I was in a low-cut tight black top tonight. The sleeves were flowy and long, but the rest hugged me like a second skin.

The woman on his lap looked across the table at me, clearly disgusted that I had the audacity. If she only knew. I smiled at him, completely ignoring her.

“Are you, Joel?” I asked, biting my lower lip gently and batting my eyelashes. Trying not to make myself gag over this display.

His dark eyebrows rose slightly in surprise, and he tapped the woman’s side, telling her to move out of his way. She rolled her eyes and walked away toward the bar, clearly upset she wasn’t getting paid this evening. I couldn’t blame her for that. Although knowing Joel’s record, she would’ve been paid in blood, not coin. So, truly, she should be thanking me.

He leaned onto the table, coming closer to me, a smirk on his face. “To what do I owe the pleasure of such beautiful company?”

I giggled shyly. “A friend of mine mentioned you were looking for some ladies willing to—” I bit my lip again and glanced away as if I were embarrassed. “—well, she said you wanted some ladies looking to experiment somewhere outside of the court,” I said in a rush.

I glanced back toward his face, trying to gauge how he was feeling. I could tell the second my lie landed. His smirk grew. “Oh, darling, I’d love to help you experiment. Let’s test it out, shall we? I have a room with some friends upstairs.” He tilted his head to the left and I glanced over that way.

I nodded my head as if I was oh-so eager to be alone with the moron. I couldn’t wait to gut him, honestly. We rose together, his hand grabbing mine, and I led the way toward where he nodded his head.

Walking toward what looked like a wall, he moved a dark curtain out of the way. I didn’t even notice it before because it was the exact same fabric and color as the remaining window coverings around the entire room. He walked through, still gripping my hand as I followed him.

We came to a set of dark stone steps, and he led me up them without pause. I decided I was very thankful for my ability to see in the dark like this. Otherwise, I could see where this would be a bit anxiety-inducing.

I wondered if the redhead was up there somewhere. That would really help my to-do list.

When we came to the top of the stairwell, I realized we were in a long hallway. Only one side had a stone wall that matched the stairs, and the other was a railing that overlooked the club below. I glanced over at Joel, confusion clear on my face.

“Why can’t we see up here from the tavern floor?” I asked.

“They call it an optical illusion. Something about the materials they use. It’s the same thing at the bottom covering the stairwell entrance.” He shrugged as if this wasn’t sort of crazy and mind-boggling. His hand still in mine, he dragged me down the hallway until we came to a set of wooden doors. Joel knocked twice and then pushed them open.

Still behind him, I tried to take everything in as quickly as possible.

The room was more of the same dark wood as the doors we just walked through. There was a four-poster bed in the center of the room with dark green bedding, along with a gray stone-lit fireplace against the far wall. That wasn’t what brought me pause, though. Opposite the fireplace, there were two more male vampires lounging on a couch—one tan and dark like Joel, and the other was a familiar face with pale skin and red hair. There was a human female at their feet. She had a chain wrapped around her neck and she was naked, with bite marks all along her pale skin. I felt ill at the sight of her glazed eyes and weak appearance. I could hear her heartbeat from across the room, and it was fading. She wasn’t going to last much longer.

I tried to keep my face neutral as Joel led me in. “Look what I found. A willing lady. She wants to know if she can be a part of the experiments we’re having so much fun with.” He enunciated the word, making it clear to me they’d know exactly what he meant by it.

I forced an innocent giggle out of my mouth and covered it with my hand as if it were an accident; it slipped out. Just a naive little girl looking for fun in the darkness. They’d know I was a vampire too, but they’d have no idea how old or if I had any gifts. As far as they knew, I was a sweet innocent virgin who had no idea what she was getting into. Which was exactly what I wanted them to think.

The redhead stood from the couch, a menacing smile lighting up his face as he walked toward us both. The other male stayed seated, pulling the woman into his lap as he bit her neck for what must be the thirtieth time that evening alone.

Joel was beside me now, and suddenly his hand reached behind my head and gripped my neck from the back. He leaned in close to my ear and whispered. “On your knees, darling. Let’s see what you can do.”

I smiled softly as if I were a little nervous about this encounter. The redhead came forward—which truly was unfortunate for him in the grand scheme of things, I think. It was shocking to me that he hadn’t recognized me yet. All I had done was take out my braid from earlier and I applied a bit more lipstick.

Maybe he was blinded by lust or didn’t want to tell his friends he ran like a coward. Maybe he was just an idiot. I’ve noticed over the years that once men saw a nice pair of tits, all logic flew out of the window for them.

I slowly fell to my knees, looking up at him with a practiced doe-eyed look on my face. I glanced over toward Joel as if seeking permission to continue this fun, and he smirked at me while nodding his head, his hand still cuffed around the back of my neck. As if he’d earned that right.

Internally I rolled my eyes, but my exterior facade was far from cracking. I was going to have fun after all.

The redhead was in front of me now, his trousers undone, his semi-hard cock about to pop out in my face. I opened my mouth, stuck my tongue out, and stared up at him through hooded eyes. His smile grew as he moved in toward me, and Joel pushed my face forward until the male’s cock was halfway in my mouth.

“That’s right, choke on Bazz’s cock,” Joel muttered from beside me.

Bazz? That was his name? There wasn’t even enough cock to choke on—I’d have laughed if it wouldn’t have ruined the mood they believed was developing there. If anything, I believed Joel was getting off on this more than Bazz or I was.

Who was I to judge, though? I was about to kill them all.

Bazz’s cock was growing harder the more Joel muttered obscenities to the room, and I decided I’d had enough of this nonsense. I closed my eyes and moaned as I tightened my mouth around him—this part gets me off, knowing what’s coming.

Bazz stilled for a moment and started to try to pull away, but I was quicker. As my mouth grew colder around his cock, I reached into my boot and pulled out one of my daggers, jabbing it into his thigh as I finished freezing his cock solid.

He was screaming at this point, and it took a moment for Joel and the other male to understand what had happened. Pulling the dagger out of Bazz’s thigh, I reached over, shoving it through Joel’s foot and into the floor beneath it. Joel screamed and fell backward, landing on his ass.

The other guy, who I should’ve probably known by this point, stared between me and Bazz in clear shock. The woman in his lap was dead now from blood loss, and Bazz was screaming about his cock being frozen solid—which was still sticking straight out from his hips. Only it was a block of cock-shaped ice. I snickered at the sight.

Back to work, though, Silv. No time for malicious enjoyment.

I rose from the floor and pulled my second dagger from the opposite boot. Walking around behind Bazz, I held my dagger to his throat and whispered into his ear. “You should pay more attention to whose mouth you shove your cock into. This is for Allie, darling.” I swiftly slit his throat and ripped his head the rest of the way off his body, tossing it in the fireplace behind me for good measure. Bazz wouldn’t be returning to us now, nor would he be running again.

As I turned back toward Joel and the other male, I realized I miscalculated the extra male’s shock at the situation. He’d already helped Joel with the dagger and was coming toward me, my shadow stone blade in his hand. I let out a sigh. This wasn’t exactly what my plan entailed.

I had started recalculating in my head when the wooden doors we’d come through started shaking and then disintegrated into a pile of dust. Both males turned to look at what was once two doors, but instead of the entryway, there was a male standing in its place.

Looking at him head to toe, I realized I was in trouble. This was the man I’d seen at The Arcane Theater all those nights ago. The one who’d been there one second, making my blood heat and my ice thaw, but gone the next.

He was a massive being—at least two heads taller than I was, maybe more. Long, wavy, ebony-colored hair fell midway down his back, and his eyes were solid onyx with no white whatsoever. His skin was as pale as mine, and I could feel his power when he entered the room.

This male could state that he hung the stars in the sky himself, and I’d believe him. Because a male that looked like him? Tall, dark, dangerous, and evil? You didn’t argue with him. You just bowed and hoped you escaped with your life still intact.

But for some innate reason, I didn’t cower before him, I just smiled, welcoming the chaos I’m sure a male with power like that brought into one’s life.

He glanced at the males between us for a moment, before his eyes skipped over to me. A smile quickly grew across his face as he stared across the room, his fangs poking out as it grew. The smile wasn’t happy, though. That smile promised pain and pleasure-induced agony.

“Hello, my ice queen. I’ve been searching for you,” he growled.
