“You heard her,” Asher reaffirms with a growl, stepping between us. “Go home.” With a flick of his wrist, Tessa stumbles with a crestfallen face and tears in her pitiful eyes.
When Tessa disappears into the shadows, a boohooing mess, Asher turns to me with a grin exploding across his lips. The boys exchange a suspicious look, and with one nod, suddenly the walls close, and four bodies press on either side of me, creating a circle around me. I’m at the center of their attention and panting with need.
“It’s about damn time you know your place,” Kieran says, moving my hair over my shoulder. “You’re the fucking queen of Whispered Words, understand? And next time, knock her teeth loose,” he chuckles, kissing the side of my lips.
Callum’s face blooms red, and he shyly takes my hand, squeezing our fingers together. “You’re-you’re the queen, Little Star.” His eyes drop to the pavement, fluttering, his long lashes fanning his cheek.
“Now, let’s pack up our shit, and then let’s go take a ride,” Asher smirks knowingly, cocking his head. “You’d like a ride or four, right, Little Brat?”
Heat envelops every inch of my body when he licks his lips and nods in the carnival’s direction to our right. Laughs and screams come from the area. The hairs on the back of my neck stand on end when I try to wrap my brain around what he’s saying.
“Um, this isn’t exactly the kind of ride I expected,” I say, looking out through the large cage of the Ferris wheel resting high in the sky above the town.
The cage encompasses the whole cabin, enclosing all of us in the six-seater ride. Usually, I’d enjoy the carnival rides, but the first thing Rad insisted on was this Ferris wheel. It soars above the city, boasting an enormous height, claiming to ride higher than normal carnival Ferris wheels. Lights flicker in the distance from the towns around us when we finally reach the top. The other carnival-goers’ distant sounds echo through the metal cage coming from below. From here, they’re tiny ants marching along the darkened ground and barely visible from here.
Abruptly, we stop at the tippy top, leaving us with a breathtaking view of our broken city. I see the darkened outlines of houses, tall businesses, and the tops of trees for miles. The cool October wind whips through the cage, blowing my long strands as I sit nestled between Kieran and Callum on a bench-like seat.
“You’re-you’re shivering,” Callum murmurs, pulling me into him. His fingers run up and down my arms, alleviating the goosebumps spreading across my flesh.
“I have an idea,” Asher says with a smirk, taking me in snuggling up to Callum.
I raise my brow. “Oh, yeah? Like maybe getting off this ride?” I quip, and he grins more, shrugging.
“Or you could be a good little brat and strip every piece of clothing off your body and then hand them over.” As he delivers the words, the phrasethe woman was too stunned to speakbounces around inside my head.
As I stare into the hazel-eyed devil’s eyes, my entire body locks up, pressed between Callum and Kieran. That familiar tug in my gut heats at the mere look he sends my way. Adding insult to injury, he drags his tongue along his bottom lip, wetting it, so it’s glistening under the Ferris wheel lights. And I melt. I fucking melt under his scrutiny, and that’s just bullshit. He gave me a simple demand, and here I am, lusting over one little tongue flick.
More vicious shivers run through me, despite not feeling an ounce of cold. Because, yeah—it’s not because of that. Every inch of my body heats, and I swear my heartbeat plays a symphony in my ears. Just from Asher’s words. Fuck. Me. I’m sick, and the only ailment to relieve my sickness is the four dicks searing me with expectation.
So, I play dumb.
“What?” I barely comprehended the demand he gave me. Blinking, my lips pop open when he does that sexy guy thing and leans his elbows on his widely spread knees. His thumb caresses his pointed chin, and he smirks again, watching my reactions like a hawk. Asher Montgomery knows precisely what he’s doing when he leans forward, cocking a brow.
“You heard me, Little Brat. There’s a reason we’re stopped at the top of the world. Now, strip,” he demands again, roaming his hungry eyes all over my body, taking in my heaving chest and trembling fingers.
“Why… Why should I listen to you?” I ask breathlessly, shaking my head.
There’s no way in hell Ishouldlisten to a word he says. Sure, he’s calmed his Assface ways down these past three weeks since we started planning. Dare I say he’s been cordial? But he’s still Asher Montgomery—assface extraordinaire—Evil Ash—the boogeyman in my closet, taunting me with his devilish, warm hazel eyes, lighting me up from the inside out.
Fire ignites everywhere when he looks me up and down, his want desperately showing to the world. My weak heart pounds against my ribs, echoing in my damn ears at that one simple look, begging me to defy his demands.
For him, I am a brat—his little brat, more specifically. Asher has this way about him that draws this need to rebel out of me without even trying. I can’t help but fight the feelings brewing inside me, especially when he drives me fucking insane.
This push and pull between us has me on the edge of craving his demands. I want to fall to my knees and bend to his will. With resistance, of course. That’s how our relationship has worked so far. He pushes. I pull. Somewhere along the way, we’ve gotten into this tension-filled relationship, and one of us is about to crack.
Asher cracks his knuckles and shrugs.
Rad grins, getting to his knees in the cramped space. “Fuck Asher. Take off your clothes for me—for them,” he says, nodding to Callum and Kieran pressing in on either side of me.
Crawling in my direction on the hard metal floor, Rad finally stops right before me with desire dilating his pupils, making them as dark as shadows. My breath halts in my damn chestwhen his warm hands spread my legs open. Soft fingers inch up my exposed thighs, drawing circles against my flesh.
“You can’t be serious. We’re on the Ferris wheel. There are other people,” I gasp when the palm of his hand grinds against my teased center, still excited from all the stolen moments before and after the show.
Despite the growing desire flaming to life in my abdomen at the potential eyes watching us, I still have reservations about dropping my pants in public. Anyone could see what we’re about to do.
“Did you see other people?” Asher lazily asks, leaning back on the bench opposite us with his legs still spread apart.
I frown, looking below at the empty carts rattling in the wind with no people in sight on the ride. The only voices for miles away are the people walking below, oblivious to what’s about to happen. If I let it, that is.
