ALLY

Life is back to being even-keeled since Sam took charge and told the parents to butt out of the wedding.

‘I love that man.’ He always puts me first, no matter what, even the chance that he’d upset our mothers hadn’t deterred him. I’ve always wanted a love like my mum and dad’s. I’m so happy that I’ve found it.

Bren, Jeanie, Ellie, and I have everything organised and a comprehensive list that’s getting ticked off faster than expected.

Today I’m going with Bren to have a look at the hotel, as I’m the only one who hasn’t seen it yet.

She warned me it looks rough as most of it is being stripped out, but that I’m not to worry; she’ll make sure it’s done in time.

Not that I have been worried about what it will be like.

I know my sister-in-law-to-be, and if she said the renovations will be done in time for the wedding, then the renovations will be done in time.

She’s a powerhouse in a tiny body and somehow makes life look easy, even though I know hers is chaotic most of the time with the number of companies she runs. I’m not sure how she keeps on top of it all; I only run two, and that’s more than enough for me.

“Hey, beautiful, are you nearly ready?”

At Sam’s voice, I look up from the spreadsheets I’d been working on and find my man standing in the doorway, hands gripping the frame above his head, muscular arms bulging in the way that always makes me want to bite them, and a small sliver of belly showing where his T-shirt has ridden up.

Biting my lip, I wonder if we can put off leaving for a half hour or so.

“Baby, you need to stop looking at me like that,” Sam says huskily.

Running my eyes back up his body until I meet his warm brown eyes, I tell him, “Then you shouldn’t pose like that. You know what it does for me.”

Sam chuckles and lets his hands drop from the doorframe and walks over to me. Pulling me up from my chair, he threads a hand through the back of my hair, tugging my head back slightly while the other grips my hips.

“Fucking love you, Ally, not sure how I got so damned lucky,” Sam professes.

“Mmm, that goes both ways, handsome,” I purr.

Standing on my toes, I fit my lips to his in a kiss.

A kiss that starts off slow and sweet but quickly heats up.

My hand slides under his shirt to the smooth, warm muscles of his back, and I dig my nails in as his warm hands slide up my bare thighs and under my skirt.

Gripping my thighs, Sam lifts me up. Wrapping my legs around his waist, I grind down on the hard cock that’s pressed up against me.

Turning, Sam walks us back to the door and closes it, pressing me up against it so that my back rests against the door as he devours my mouth.

Gasping, I pull my lips from his, arching my neck as his lips trail their way down it to my chest. I’m thanking the Lord for elasticated summer dresses as he tugs the top of my dress and the bra underneath it down and under my breasts so that he can get his mouth on me.

Taking a nipple into his warm mouth, he purses his lips and sucks hard.

A tingle runs down my body with each tug, right to my centre, and another whimper leaves me as I rock against him, trying to get relief from the ache in my centre. I was close, so close.

“Sam?” I whisper.

“Let go, baby, there’s nobody here but me and you.”

“Need you in me,” I plead. One of Sam’s hands leaves my hips as he works at his pants, and before I know it, he’s surging up into me, filling me like only he can.

His mouth comes back to mine, and he takes my mouth in a hard, bruising kiss as I start to come in small pulses that grow and grow with every hard thrust of his cock filling me up until I explode around him, gripping him hard with my internal walls.

A keening wail leaves the back of my throat as Sam, with a deep groan, comes on one last long, hard thrust.

With a happy, shuddering sigh, I take my mouth from his and wrap my arms around his shoulders, resting my head against the door as Sam pushes his face into my neck and presses a soft kiss there.

“Love spring and summer,” he rumbles as his hands run up my bare thigh to my arse and back down again.

Laughing softly, I kiss the side of his head. “Like the easy access, huh?”

“So, fucking much,” he agrees, then mutters a grumble as he slowly eases from my body. Reaching over to my desk, he plucks out a few tissues and hands them to me as he eases my legs down until I’m standing.

“Something to be said for condoms,” he grumbles as I stuff the tissues in my panties.

“Yep,” I agree. “But I’d rather feel you than latex.”

Straightening my dress, I don’t miss the cocky smile he sends my way at my words. Once I’m covered, I tilt my head to find him watching me with heated eyes, and I throw my head back and laugh.

“I thought you were in a hurry?”

“Eh,” he shrugs, “Bren can wait. We’re always having to wait on her and Alec.

” He shudders in disgust at the last sentence, making me giggle again.

He’s not wrong; Bren and Alec seem to be always disappearing off somewhere, much to the disgust of her brothers and her father.

They may be disgusted, but us women were cheering them on, and I think Bev and Abby are hoping there’ll be another baby announcement soon.

“I won’t be long,” I tell him, opening the door, then squealing in surprise and slapping a hand to my chest with fright at finding Bren and Alec there. “For fuck’s sake, you about gave me a heart attack. How long have you two been there?”

“Not long,” Bren assures me, eyeing my hair with amusement. “You may want to fix your hair before we go out, though. Although the freshly fucked look seems to be a thing around here.”

Alec smothers a laugh at his wife’s words, burying his face in her neck, shoulders shaking. Behind me, Sam sniggers. Me. I roll my eyes.

“You’re one to talk,” I tell Bren as I push past them towards the bathroom. “Give me ten minutes,” I tell them, then, having a thought, I stick my head back out the door, “Are we taking the bike? Because if we are, I need to get my leathers.”

Sam shakes his head, “No, we’ll catch a ride with these two. We’ll go for a ride tonight.”

“Kay,” I reply and duck back into the bathroom to clean up.

Ten minutes later, we’re in their vehicle, Bren and me in the back, with Alec driving and Sam in the passenger seat.

Bren is going through the lists and asking my last opinion on stuff. “I have to say,” she tells me, “as happy as I am that I get to use you as guinea pigs, I’m so glad Alec and I did the registry office and a small party at the pub.”

Groaning, I have to agree, and I admit, “I’d rather have had that, but Dad wanted me to have a wedding.

And you know I can’t say no to him. Jeanie has no such problem.

” I laugh when I recall Jeanie adamantly telling Dad that she wasn’t going to be going through this shitshow.

She’d take a registry office and getting drunk with her family.

Dad had looked shocked, then laughed and agreed.

“That’s because you’re too nice,” Bren says, patting my hand. “Don’t worry, girl, between Sam, me, and Jeanie, we’ll make sure nothing else goes to shit. Trust me, we can say NO!”

Happiness fills me. I love my family, but my new family is bloody amazing. I’m a lucky girl to have them all in my life, and three hours later, I know we’ve made the right decision on the venue.

Bren walked us through everything and had shown us what it would look like when it was done. It’s a massive project, but I can see her vision, and it’s beautiful. Our wedding’s going to be gorgeous, and I can’t wait to say I DO to the man who lifts me up and puts me first every day.
