The next thing I knew, both O’Sheeran women wrapped their arms through ours, and we were being directed to the front door.

People were whispering and watching us. A few paparazzi were outside.

When they saw us, they snapped away on their cameras.

I bet they were wondering who we were. Imagine their disappointment when they found out we were nobodies.

They shouted at the O’Sheerans to look their way and asked who we were.

All the family did was smile vaguely and ignore them, so that’s what I did.

When we reached the door, Aidan spoke to one of the intimidating men. “Faraz, how is it this evening?”

“Everything has been good, Aidan. It’s good to see all of you.” He smiled.

“We’re glad to be here for fun rather than work. I want you to take note of these two ladies. They’re to have immediate access whenever they come. They don’t wait in line, and there’s no charge. This is Gianna DeSantis and Aurora… What is your last name?” Aidan asked my friend.

“Ah, it’s Spencer, but you don’t need to do that.” She blushed.

“You’re Gianna’s best friend. Of course, there is. She’s a friend to us. Please make sure they go on the list,” Aidan said to Faraz. The bouncer had been busy snapping pictures of us and tapping away on his phone. He nodded.

“It’ll be updated in the next fifteen minutes. Ladies, welcome to Sirens, and enjoy your night. Is this your first time here?”

“It is, for both of us,” I stated.

“Well, then, an extra welcome, and we hope you come back often. I know you’re with Aidan tonight, but I’m here most nights if you need anything. Don’t hesitate to find me.” His smile was wider, and his handsomeness showed now that he wasn’t scowling.

“Faraz is the head of security at Sirens. He’s the one to go to if you have issues. If you can’t find him, anyone dressed in the same shirt as him is also security and can help,” Aidan explained.

“Thank you, Faraz,” I said.

He winked at me as he said, “The pleasure is all mine, Gianna.”

There was a suggestive edge to his tone.

I smiled back before we were swept inside.

Hmm, he might be one to consider. I’d have to see.

It was unbelievable inside. Aidan and the rest didn’t leave us alone once we entered, like I expected.

Instead, they stayed with us, and we were given a tour and a rundown of the place.

It was explained that every Siren had the same setup.

On the first floor was an expansive bar with various seating areas and configurations.

You could drink and talk here. You could go to the second floor if you wanted to dance.

Karizma was describing as much as Aidan was.

She told us the music they played varied depending on the night of the week.

I found it incredible. It was loud and pulsing with energy.

There were conversations and laughter everywhere.

Some people were drinking, but others were on the dance floor shaking their asses.

I was becoming increasingly ready to let myself relax and have fun.

With the number of guys here, even if I didn’t find someone interesting, I should be able to have dance partners.

I was about to thank them and wish them a good night when we were herded to the stairs that led to the next floor.

There were people at the bottom, including more security like Faraz, based on their shirts. They had a velvet rope across the stairs. When someone came to them, they had to show them something to be permitted to pass.

“Why is this floor guarded, and what are they showing them to get past?” Aurora asked Aisling.

“This is the VIP floor. It’s like this one, but it’s more private.

They’re showing proof that they’ve paid to be on that floor.

It costs more than the cover charge at the main door because many celebrities, dignitaries, and wealthy patrons don’t want to be hassled when they come here for a good time.

This allows them to have more privacy. That privacy and added security come at a steeper price,” Aisling answered.

“It was the only way we could make it possible to attract all income brackets. We didn’t want it to be so expensive that a customer with less money couldn’t come here at all,” Aidan added.

“The third level has a smaller bar, dance floor, and more intimate seating than the other floors. Above it is the fourth floor with personal offices, living space, and a security office. The staff on the third floor rarely work on any of the other floors or vice versa. You have to have specialty training in handling those people,” Karizma said, grinning at Aidan.

He laughed. “Yes, you do. Or if you’re not careful, you can be swept away and taken by someone.”

“Taken?” Aurora asked uneasily.

“Oh, not like that. He’s being silly. What he means is this is where we met. I got a job here, and one night, I was asked to work on the third floor, although I wasn’t trained for it. Aidan and I met and had a difference of opinion,” Karizma said, laughing.

They nodded at the men who opened the rope. Aurora and I halted. When we didn’t follow, they turned back.

“Aren’t you coming?” Alistair asked.

“We’ll stay down here. There’s no need for us to be up there. Thank you for the tour and for helping us inside. Have a great night,” I said nicely.

“Gianna, you’re not obligated to come up with us.

However, you are more than welcome. I’ll be honest, in your condition, Aurora, the dance floor and relaxing will be better up there.

For one thing, the chairs are slightly nicer.

And since fewer people are up there, you won’t have to worry about being bumped into.

We’d love it if you would hang out at least a little while with us,” Karizma said prettily.

How could I say no? And it wasn’t as if I had to worry about Rian. If he were here, he would’ve come with them. I looked at Aurora. She had a hopeful smile. “If it’s okay with you, I’m fine with it,” I told her.

“Then, yes, we’d love to join you for a bit. Thank you. Standing has already made my feet hurt,” she told them.

A couple of bodyguards went up first while the remainder brought up the rear.

When we got to the top, it was less crowded, and you could tell by how people dressed that they were rich.

While dressed very tastefully and in obviously expensive clothing, the O’Sheerans weren’t dripping jewels like some.

As we moved through the floor toward an area with two empty tables, which seemed weird when it was busy, I noticed people turning to stare.

It appeared even among their kind that the O’Sheerans garnered attention.

The tables were empty because, in the center, were two gold placards reading Reserved .

Two bodyguards pulled out chairs for Aurora and me, so Alistair and Aidan concentrated on their wives.

Aurora groaned in pleasure as soon as she sat.

Aisling laughed. “I know. Doesn’t it feel good to get off your feet? I swear, my feet hurt fiercely with this pregnancy. Alistair gives me a foot rub every night.” She gave him a loving smile.

“It’s my pleasure. I have to contribute in some way. You have the hard job of growing and carrying our child. I don’t begrudge you the foot rubs,” he told her.

“I’d kill for a foot rub once a week, let alone every night. My feet and lower back are the two places that bother me the most,” Aurora admitted.

“Mine was my lower back both times,” Karizma chimed in.

Before more could be said, a waitress came to the table.

She was very professional yet friendly, and I didn’t think it was only because she was waiting on the boss and his party.

It was evident from how she chatted that she knew Karizma and Aidan.

After our orders were taken, she walked off to place them.

“When is your baby due?” Aisling asked Aurora.

“Toward the end of March, on the twenty-third. Yours?”

“Three weeks later, on April twelfth. Do you know what you’re having? We’re having a girl,” Aisling told her.

“I’m having a boy,” Aurora announced.

“Have you had your baby shower yet?” Karizma asked her. I wondered if the men were bored with all the pregnancy talk. If so, they hid it well.

“No, it’s this coming Sunday.”

“Well, I have a list of things you absolutely must have. I’ll give it to Gianna to give to you. If you don’t get them as gifts, I highly recommend you buy them,” Karizma declared.

“Thank you, I’d like that. It’s been the blind leading the blind over here between me and Gianna. Neither of us has had kids. You said you have two. May I ask how old they are?”

“God, that’s true,” I muttered. Everyone laughed.

“Our daughter, Khloe, turns seven on Tuesday, and our son, Brannon, is five months old,” Aidan stated proudly.

“Oh my, you have done it recently. Was your daughter excited to have a sibling?” Aurora asked.

“She was, but she was unsure if it would be better to have a brother,” Karizma admitted.

“Take it from me, brothers can be a pain,” I chimed in.

“Sisters aren’t any easier,” Aidan objected.

Further debate was held off since our waitress returned with our drinks.

I tried to catch her and ask her to start a tab for Aurora and me, but she slipped away too fast. I’d do it the next time she came.

There was more baby talk, which I didn’t mind.

It inevitably ended with Alistair asking about the dad.

“You mentioned dying for foot rubs. Doesn’t the baby’s dad give them to you? He should. You’ve got the hard job. He had the easy and pleasurable part.” Alistair smirked. Aisling smacked him on the chest and shook her head.

Aurora was improving at not becoming uncomfortable when Fitch was mentioned, and I was proud of her. Many people inevitably asked about the baby’s father, and she held her head high and shook her head as she answered.
