With everything that had happened, I’d forgotten entirely Gianna’s vow to get revenge on Fitch for abandoning Aurora.

Her brothers and dad wanted to beat the hell out of him.

My family and I wanted to do that or to destroy him.

She’d told us no. I discovered today how devious my beautiful a stór mo chroí was.

We gathered for Sunday breakfast. Everyone was present, including the DeSantis men, Aurora, baby Liev, and others. After we finished eating and were relaxing, Gianna approached Aurora and handed her a thick envelope. Rora looked puzzled.

“What’s this, Gia?” she asked without opening it.

“You should open it, and then I’ll explain.” She smiled, then came back to sit on my lap.

“What is it?” I whispered in her ear.

“You’ll see,” she whispered, then nipped my ear. The tiny bite made me start to harden.

Rora hesitantly opened it. She unfolded the several pages inside and began to read. As she did, her eyes widened, and her mouth dropped open. Her hand holding the papers shook. She looked up at Gianna in disbelief.

“Gia, what is this?”

“What does it say it is?” she countered.

“It says it’s a trust established for the estate of Fitch’s parents. And everything: houses, cars, land, money, assets, everything has been placed into a trust for…” She paused to clear her throat. Tears were in her eyes as she continued.

“For Liev Spencer. It is to be overseen starting immediately by his trustee/guardian, Aurora Spencer, until he is of age. Gia, is this real?”

“It is. See, I never liked Weasel Shit, but his parents were lovely. I knew he hadn’t told them why you broke up, or he made up a lie.

They treated you well when you dated. They even asked when you two were going to get married.

As their only child, he would naturally inherit everything.

Their estate isn’t anything to sneeze at.

Presently, it’s valued at ten million dollars.

However, I did some digging. You know how I am.

I discovered that they wanted nothing more than to have grandchildren.

Over the past several years, they’d grown less than happy with how their son was conducting his life.

He took nothing seriously. Weasel Shit laid back, cruised through life, and lived off their money. A few times, he played at working.

“Remember, after Liev was born, I urged you to have the paternity test done, even though Fitch wouldn’t give a sample?

It didn’t matter because they were incensed when I went to see his parents and told them why you broke up.

They wanted to believe I lied, but their guts told them I wasn’t.

I showed them a picture of Liev. Fitch’s mom cried and said he looked like Weasel did as a newborn.

I informed them what their son was doing, or I should say not doing for his child, and his refusal to do a paternity test. They found something with his DNA in his old room and took it to a lab.

“As soon as they got the results. They met with their lawyer, established the trust, and left everything to Liev. They’ll be informing their son of it and that he’ll be cut off from any further financial assistance from them.

He’ll have to get a job to pay his bills.

They asked me to tell you that they would love to have a relationship with their grandson.

They’re praying you won’t exclude them from Liev’s life due to his father. ”

When Gianna finished explaining, Rora burst into sobs.

She ran over to hug Gianna. As they did, with Gianna still on my lap, I heard my woman tell her best friend, “I told you I’d make him pay, and it would cost him at least eighteen years.

I decided that wasn’t enough. The rest of his life might make up for it. ”

Watching her, I was filled with love, pride, admiration, and much more for the fantastic, strong woman in my lap. I had everything I could ever want with her, our first baby, and my family. My pursuit was over, but my happily ever after with my anamchara was just beginning.
