My reproachful expression has her looking away again.

‘What good would that do?' she says in almost a whisper. 'It's over now.'

I shake my head a little, but I leave it at that for now. It’s not the right time.

I wet her hair, and then I grab her favorite shampoo, squeezing it into my hands and lathering it into her hair.

I give her a slow and methodical head massage that has her moaning on my lap so loudly that I see Mav and Shade’s heads poke through the doorway to see what I’m doing.

I grab the shower head and rinse her hair off before applying the conditioner, rubbing it in and piling her hair on top of her head to leave it for a few minutes.

I make her get on her knees, and I soap her up thoroughly, disliking the marks I find on her waist and thigh from the device that was strapped to her as well as some pincer parks on her arm and side.

‘What are these from?’ I ask, touching one of the spots gently.

To my surprise, she chuckles. ‘I might tell you another time,’ she says cryptically. ‘But it’s more of a funny story.’

I let out a long-suffering grunt.

'Do the burns hurt?' I ask.

She nods. ‘A little in the hot water.’

‘I have something I can put on them afterwards.'

‘Okay,’ she replies contentedly, closing her eyes and letting me take care of her.

I make sure she's clean and I rub and knead her shoulders and neck, giving her a slow, deep, relaxing massage until she lays her head down on the side of the tub, half asleep.

When my fingers find the cleft between her legs, she barely moves as I clean her, slowly easing my fingers inside of her, making sure she's ready for me.

I take the shower head, and I rinse her hair and the rest of her body. In a burst of inspiration, I make sure it's not too hot, and I position it between her legs.

Her gasp as she feels the water streaming over her clit is music to my ears, and I hold it on there just long enough for her hips to begin moving involuntarily towards it before I tut and turn off the water. The narrow-eyed look she gives me makes me grin evilly.

I get out of the bath and towel myself off quickly, then I grab a fresh one for her.

I help her stand and get out of the bath, and I cover her before she gets cold, taking another, smaller towel and squeezing most of the water from her long hair. I know how she hates the water dripping down her back when it’s wet.

I take her brush from among her things that Mav grabbed earlier from her room at the KIP house, and I draw it through her hair, starting from the bottom and working out the tangles. It glides through easily and then I wrap her hair in the towel again.

She stands silently, eyes half closed, as she waits for me to be finished.

'Was this okay?’ I ask.

She nods, almost dreamily.

‘Thank you,’ she murmurs. ‘It was nice.'

I lead her out of the bathroom, and I find that Mav and Shade are in the other room watching TV.

Good.

I sit her on the bed, and she looks up at me with her beautiful, oval eyes.

'They'll pay for everything they did.’
