Pancakes he’s been working out,” Jade says, looking at us then the kids as she enters the kitchen in nothing but a band tee and shorts.

Adjusting my hardening cock, I grab her by the waist and press her against the fridge, slamming my lips against hers.

She groans into my mouth as I swirl my tongue around hers, and then I pull away.

“Good morning, Babygirl.” I smirk, and she smiles, then rolls her eyes.

“Remember there’s little ears in the room that don’t know the truth,” she whispers, pushing me away.

Nodding, Jay opens the oven, taking out a cookie sheet of bacon, and placing it on the cooling rack.

He says he's not sucking up, but one way to our wife’s heart is with bacon.

I laugh, shaking my head at him as he makes her a plate and hands her a cup of coffee before kissing her forehead and murmuring something in her ear that has her eyes lighting up.

Knowing Jay, it was either something dirty or violent. You never know with him.

Jade walks around the room greeting the kids before stopping beside Dario. Ah shit, here we go. He looks over at her with a raised brow as she takes a sip of her coffee.

“Yes, Kitten?” But she doesn’t reply, just stares at him, making him growl. She laughs and goes to sit next to Jaxon.

“After breakfast, you guys are going to spend the day with Aunt Ophelia. How does that sound?” she asks, and Jaxon fist pumps the air in excitement.

“Yes, Mama that sounds great. I’ll help take care of Hazel and Prince, like the big boy I am,” he tells her, and she smiles, running her fingers through his dark hair.

Ryder steps into the room fully dressed in his cut.

Adjusting myself again discreetly, I clear my throat as he bends down to kiss Jade on her head, whispering something in her ear.

She nods as he grabs a piece of bacon and then turns to leave.

Nah, fuck that. I go after him, but Jade grabs my arm, stopping me.

“Give him some time,” she tells me, and I shake my head.

“Nope, not happening,” I say, leaving the kitchen just as the front door closes. Swinging it open, I step out into the cool morning air as the sun beats down on my skin.

“So that’s it? You’re just going to leave and not say a word to me?” I yell, and he spins.

“What's the fucking point, Reid? This just isn’t going to work anymore,” he states, and I take a step forward, crowding his space.

“You don’t fucking mean that, Ry,” I accuse, but he shakes his head.

“Yes, I do. This shit between us—I can’t do the lies, Reid.

I just can’t. I’ve been lied to enough, and I thought you were the one person who was going to be real with me.

But I was fucking wrong. I gotta go,” he says, turning away.

But I grab his arm to stop him, and he rips it away.

“Just stop, Reid!” he yells, but I can’t help myself.

I don’t want to lose him, so I reach for his face, cupping it, and bring my lips to his.

He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath and kissing me fiercely, almost as if it's the last time he will ever do it.

I groan into his mouth, squeezing his face, deepening the kiss, trying to expel all my feelings into him so he knows how much I love him and want to fix my mistakes.

But he pulls away, turning and walking to his bike.

He throws his helmet on, starts the bike, and then looks up at me.

“Goodbye, Reid,” he says, looking away and riding down the driveway.

My heart falls from my chest as tears form in my eyes.

This can’t be goodbye. It just can’t . I’ll give him some time, and then I’ll fight for him.

Just like I’ll do for Jade. They are both mine, and I’ll die before I ever let them go.
